I have not sold my apartment via D B Roberts. The apartment is tenanted and despite my telling the agents to liaise with the tenant who worked shifts, I still received texts to say could a viewing take place the next day? I got no feedback from the viewings unless I initiated the exchange. I also informed them that I would be out of contact during a certain period, yet still received phone calls. Also once I withdrew the apartment from sale, I sent an email to state this but got no response. I did not get a response to the second email I sent and ended up having to call from the USA to ascertain that the email had been received! Not a good experience.

DB Roberts are good. Traditional agents with traditional methods. They do exactly what is required from them. Don’t bother going down the new auction route where they get another company called IAMSOLD to do online auction. It simply doesn’t work. And you would have wasted 2 months of your life for no reason.

There were a few issues initially with wrong details being put on the marketing material and the communication was lacking. I had to chase them for information and only one viewing materialised which was unsuccessful, to the point that I have now taken the house off the market. This is partially due to the current market and not all down to the estate agent. Katie who I dealt with was quite supportive but some other members of the team not so much. I do not know if I would use them again in the future.

Our experience was appalling. Because we live abroad we relied heavily on them. We received a low offer then found it was from one of their employees. Another offer was received and our solicitor warned it was from the family of an employee. We decided to get rid of them but were persuaded by one of their senior people to continue. It was eventually sold at a shockingly low price.

Completely rubbish agents. Manager told me wrongly that my solicitor had moved address when in fact they hadn't. Also displayed house pictures in a nonsensical way. They booked viewing for people who did not want to view my house. On recieving an offer never kept me informed on the progress. Manager said he was dotting the letter I and crossing his letter t when I asked for an update. Completely unprofessional and seemed very amateurish. Steer clear of these cheap agents because you get a cheap and rubbish service.
