Please avoid renting with them at all costs!
You will never get your deposit back. Our flat was 30+ year old and tired as you would expect, which we accepted when we moved in. We lived there only 11 months as the house was poorly insulated, we even had ice inside the house in the winter months, they never fixed it (among other things) so we decided to leave the flat. To our surprise, when we handed over the house, they brought their 'expert', a guy called Mark who has been with them for ages, as an 'independent' inspector, who obviously isn't. They will claim all kinds of non existent changes and damages and deduct if from your deposit! they event claimed is our fault that a crack appeared on the ceiling! AVOID!

I’m sat here on Christmas Day in our new home. I felt compelled to leave a review for these guys because without a doubt Sam, Samantha & Becky worked tirelessly to get us our dream home and to be in before Christmas. I normally don't write much reviews but the team at Dey King and Haria were fabulous & very helpful through every stage of selling our property. Although, we were not in a chain, we had agreed a sale timeline right at the onset of our initial contact and requested that we strictly abide by the same. We were regularly updated at every stage of the process and the folks especially Becky & Sam in particulate were very supportive of our situation, honest and often went above and beyond.
There was a stage where due to delays at the buyers end, we felt things were falling apart but both Becky & Sam regularly chased the required parties and ensured that things came back on track.
If you are looking for an estate agent within Watford or surrounding areas, I would highly recommend these folks.

Rented one of their properties for 2 years with my partner.
Ketz would call my partner while we were both at work. This was frustrating as I was not part of any decisions regarding my own flat. I asked him to call me because admittedly I am the awkward one who will have questions or just email both us so we are all in the loop. Ketz continued to contact my partner via phone. My partner admitted he felt like piggy in the middle too.
After Ketz called my partner 4 times one afternoon and then emailed us with conflicting information regarding our move out date. I asked him again to just email both of us moving forward and again he didnt bother replying. Instead he just continued to call my partner at work.
At that point I decided to leave this review.

Tried to rent several flats through them / arrange viewings. Susan stopped responding to my partners attempts at communication - via phone, email and even in-store. I assume we weren't the right type of clientele - but they didn’t need to be so rude. Maybe they're a 5-star company, we just didn’t experience it.

The team at Dey King and Haria were very helpful through every stage of selling our property. We were in a chain and like anyone in that situation there were ups and downs through the process but at each stage DKH were supportive of our situation, honest and often went above and beyond. Sam in particular was keeping everything on track for us - thank you Sam and special mention to Caroline as well.

I am reviewing on behalf of a friend. I am totally shocked at the way the estate agent treated them .. they were buying a property. Estate agent ignored calls and emails even on completion day! They did not get their keys on the day and I had to encourage them to call directly. This has inconvenienced them and sadly not people to complain but as someone who is likely to sell .. this is an agency I would avoid!

To be honest, I am not a great fan of estate agents, but I will always walk the talk. DKH were fantastic and they were my best experience of house moves I have ever had by a country mile. I cannot express in a small paragraph how impressed I am with how they handled everything.
From the outset they were communicative, fast and thorough. All the way through they chased, followed up and advised. Without Sam, I am not sure if we would have got over the line as soon as we did. So, if you want any recommendations for estate agents, DKH would be mine, 100%, no question.
In fact I would go so far to say they are inkin to the Ronseal ad...'they do exactly what it says on the tin' .

My wife and I were impressed from start to finish. We worked with Sam Dey himself and Samantha Rogers. We found them both to be super friendly, very knowledgeable on the local area and genuinely wanting to help us.

We could not recommend DKH enough. They were professional, friendly and from the outset honest with us.
We were buying a property listed with them and felt that despite not being their client, they were always willing to talk to us and had an interest in helping us through the process.

We had a fantastic experience with Dey King and Haria and completed our purchase in a record time (2 months). DKH and Sam made what is normally a stressful process, straight forward and painless. Sam went above and beyond what you would expect of an estate agent, even going so far as negotiating with third parties to keep things on track to meet the stamp duty increase deadline. Samuel and Samantha have been an absolute pleasure to work with, from the initial valuation right through to completion. Fast, efficient (but always friendly) I would recommend them highly if you want a proactive and professional service. Selling a leasehold flat during lockdown was no easy task yet they managed to make it look easy!

I don't want to make this review so good that it appears unbelievable but the service we received from DKH has been unbelievable. Sam Dey has been brilliant. His communication style, professionalism and attention to us and the detail has been second to none. He immediately put us at ease, explained the process in our language and was always contactable for the smallest of enquires. The video and photos of our house were so good we wondered why we were selling. The house sold in and instant during which the process was expertly handled and managed to aplomb. Choose this company and all will be well and stress free.

Having not sold or bought a property in over 25 year it was a concern to us who we should pick to market and act on our behalf in the selling of our house. With out any reservation we choose the right and in our opinion the best estate agent in Watford. From the first meeting we had with Sam Dey to the news that we had exchange his professionalism and his team totally understood our position and expectations and met every element of our needs. When it came to marketing our house it was seem less, we had scheduled appointments accompanied by Sam Dey which we had 11 viewing in one day and as this was done during the Covid pandemic full protection was observed for all the potential buyers, even when we lost our first buyer it was Sam and his dedicated team to proactively to bring in 5 potential buyers the next day of which one now turns out to be our current buyer.
We can only praise Dey, King & Haria and would not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends and anyone reading this review please use these guys they certainly know what they are doing and know their industry.

We’d recommend Sam, Ben and their team in a heartbeat. They’re smart, knowledgable, trustworthy and incredibly hard-working. No hard sell, no pushiness. They just do everything they need to do brilliantly. It’s not just the big things they do well, like selling your house quickly. They also do the little things effortlessly. You’re never left waiting for them to return your calls. In fact, the service is personal to a point where you wonder how they manage to find the time to sell anyone else’s house at the same time.
We had a range of agents come to value the house and Dey King’s professionalism and knowledge shone through instantly. Sam and his team were brilliant from start to finish. Honest and upfront throughout. At times, their professionalism and how good they were at their jobs were the only thing keeping us sane when everyone else was flailing around being terrible at theirs. Having already sold our house within a fortnight. Our initial buyers dropped out over the weekend and Dey King had found us a new buyer by the Wednesday.
To summarise, they’re brilliant.

I had my property on the market with a much more famous name and received appalling service whilst being locked into a seemingly endless contract. Ben, Sam and Caroline have restored my faith in estate agents. Throughout I received great communication and updates.
The sale started with advice on how to sell and they took some great pics of the property. It followed during the selling process by going above and beyond expectations to make my sale happen. Above all else honesty and transparency during the process made me feel confident I was in great hands.
Sam problem solved any issues on either side and it was a pleasure to speak to the guys in the office to get updates in a friendly and personal way. Wouldn’t sell with anyone else if I had the need.

We sold our house in Oxhey Village with Dey, King and Haria. It was on the market for a week, we had numerous viewings and several offers to consider before accepting one.

Giving one star as I can’t give less than that.
I’ve been waiting 2 months already to get the keys from my new flat and the staff ignores me every time I go to speak with them, and let’s no talk about how many emails I have sent already without any answer from anyone. They don’t care at all about their customers. If you email them wait at least 2 weeks until you get an answer of course. Never renting or buying a house from them, really bad service and incompetent people. I’m in a situation where I really need these keys and no one I doing nothing about it, we are talking about keys, what you use to get into your house

I rented a property through Dey King & Haria for 5 years. From the beginning to the end of the tenancy they have been nothing but professional and helpful. All faults with the flat during the tenancy were quickly responded to and fixed, including a brand new good quality fridge/freezer, new toilet, new kitchen sink, and new oven thermostat and fan unit. No problems or quibbles with the work. They also made sure to arrange visits well in advance. I've always felt welcome, respected and treated as an individual tenant by DKH, with their friendly staff and accessible office in the town centre.
I'd highly recommend as a tenant.

When the pandemic broke out, I felt reassured that I was still being looked after, receiving regular phone calls and updates from my agent. Our purchase with a different agent turned out to be a nightmare, but throughout the whole experience, our agent tried every avenue to ensure that the sale went through, even though it wasn't his job! I couldn't recommend a better agency and Sam, our estate agent was truly superb. I've just exchanged through Dey King and Haria and they were fantastic throughout the whole process. They always kept me informed of any issues, we had a slow vendor solicitor which adds to the stress of buying and selling but they were always badgering him to get on and do his job. Being a first time Landlord and being very new to the process, Ketz ensured I understood the process and informed of my obligations, which seemed to be missed off by the other agents I spoke too. He was very detailed in his approach and I later understood that the reason the Tenants that viewed my property were of such a calibre was due many being filtered out.

I could genuinely not recommend Dey King and Haria enough. Throughout the entire sale of my property they were professional, focused and attentive. Like many I was very reserved in my views of estate agents and having to deal with them, however from the beginning Ben managed the set-up process very well and then Sam was exceptional in dealing with a complex chain as the sale concluded. In a chain of three, the two other estate agents completely honoured my original view of them being slow, difficult, inefficient and in many cases, sadly incompetent, however I am very pleased to say to DKH could not have supported me better. The only sad element is that they were not the estate agent for the property I bought. For anyone in the area requiring an estate agent, I truly suggest you give DKH a call. Personally speaking as and when I look to sell my next house, they will be the only agent I speak with.

Strongly strongly strongly recommend to any sellers or even buyers. I have been a buyer and seller and in this instance Dey, King and Haria were representing me as a seller. The company has been very professional and brilliant from day 1. I would specificllu call out Ben who ran the pre sales process brilliantly and THREE CHEERS to Sam who handled the rather complicated and at times frustrating chain very well, SAM gets 3 of the 5 star probably for his continuous, diligent and relentless efforts. Generally you hear agencies work for sellers as that's where the money is, but I am converted in this instance. Sam and the company also respect the buyers and their situation and work out mutually agreeable solutions. I had more support from Sam who was agent at the bottom of the chain than my agents looking after the buy side. Sam was always on the ball and switched on and made sure it was in best interest of all parties to move the chain forward and bring it to exchange. Sam went to the extent of liaising with solicitors and agents at the top of the chain to ensure the deal moves ahead. This wasn't something Sam had to but he made sure his clients - buyer and seller do not suffer. I have yet to come across such a professional but modest agency who genuinely work for the clients interests and not just for money. Yes such companies do exist, Tks Dey, King and Haria

We actually sold our property through a different agency, but bought through Dey King & Haria, and in hindsight we would have sold our property through them also, as their service, relationship, personable approach was far far better than their competitor estate agents in Watford. It is with great disappointment that I read the previous review and I completely empathise with them however as the seller it wasn’t as clean cut as how the review states and assures you DKH were not using you as a backup it was a legitimate transaction from the outset however with an unexpected and unfortunate ending for you.
The week we were mean to exchange on the property, the original purchaser’s chain had fallen through for the second occasions through no fault of DKH. We decided to accept an offer from a new purchaser and end the transaction with the original as there were not in a proceedable position.
We instructed our solicitors to request the original contracts back on three/four occasions as we did not want this to slow down the process with our new buyers however the company we were using changes solicitors dealing with our case on three occasions again through no fault of DKH however made our process very stressful and long winded as it had been going on for six month at this stage. Outside of DKH’s control.
Dey King and Haria were consistently encouraging me to sell to them rather than the eventual buyer, they were constantly chasing my solicitor to ensure the original buyer could not buy the property and we were all under the impression he did not have the means to purchase the property due to the efforts of Ben and Sam at Dey King and Haria. As far as we were all concerned we were going full steam ahead with our new buyers, all doing everything we could to push the transaction through.
On Friday of last week at 9am we received a call to say that our original buyer had now sold his property, they still had the original contracts (which was news to me) but basically they wanted to exchange on our property that day by 12 noon that day, so we needed to make a decision quickly and decided to secure the deal and exchange on the property, after all it had been a long and stressful process and this would give us closure that day. Prior to making this decision we spoke to our solicitor’s to see how far along the new buyer was and they were still some weeks of being able to proceed, our solicitor hasn’t received any responses from the searches or enquires so we weren’t even 100% sure that they would find something there were not happy with within the searches or enquires and perhaps not proceed for one reason or another.
It was extremely unfortunate for the new buyers but from my side this was beyond the control of DKH or acted professionally at all times.
This was a very unfortunate and difficult transaction and we are deeply sorry that I didn’t plan our as planned.
All of the management and staff at DKY were honest and professional and I would certainly use the again, ours was an extremely complicated transaction however ultimately DKY exceed our exceptions and secured us two excellent buyers at full asking price. When the first transaction wasn’t able to proceed they quickly secured us another excellent buyer. It was outside of everyone’s knowledge at the time that we would revert back to the original.

We would like to say a heartfelt thanks to Ben, Sam and Khetz for all the work that they put into our sale. We were really impressed with the sales brochure, our flat never looked so good. Their knowledge of the local area and market meant that we had a steady stream of viewers until the right person for the flat came along.
From start to finish the service felt personal, there was always someone on the end of the phone or at the end of an e-mail. Due to busy working lives my husband and I often crossed communications and Sam, Ben and Khetz were always happy to personally talk each of us both through the various stages of the sale.
We also had a hiccup with our solicitor and again Dey, King and Haria were always on the end of the phone willing to chase up information on our behalf or proactively contact us with updates.
We felt that they really earned their fee and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to sell their house.

Dey King and Haria (DKH) are the reason Estate Agents have a bad name. After over ten weeks of dealing with them we feel emotionally (and financially!) drained, and have been forced to live in our friend’s spare room for many months longer than we’d hoped.
We were shown a property that we were told was back on the market as a result of the initial purchase not being able to proceed as quickly as required. We were then told by DKH that if we were able to get everything in place then we would be in pole position to purchase. As such, we proceeded to put pull out all the stops and had everything ready on our side within two weeks, and were told that the contract for the original purchaser would soon be returned.
For the subsequent eight weeks we made daily calls to DKH to enquire about when this would happen – at the same time as our solicitors were progressing with the case (which DKH were fully aware of) incurring considerable costs. We were promised calls back with further information on dozens of occasions from everyone at DKH (but mainly Sam & Ben), and heard back only a handful of times – even if there wasn’t any particular news to update us with I simply don’t understand how they can so brazenly promise to call us back on so many occasions and yet claim to offer such good service.
Finally, after ten weeks, DKH rang us to say that the vendor had exchanged with the original purchaser. Everything now made sense.. despite their laughable claims to the contrary they had simply been using us as an additional option for the vendor, putting our lives on hold in the process and leaving us out of pocket of in excess of £1,500. A few weeks would have been acceptable.. ten weeks of lying to us with costs mounting up is a disgrace.
At the very least they done a very poor job communicating with us, but they were very much playing the game. We feel that we have been treated absolutely despicably and would actively discourage anyone from dealing with them in the future. Avoid like the plague.

While looking for a place in Watford we dealt with quite a few estate agents and can highly recommend Dey King and Haria. Although Samuel was our main point of contact every time one of us phoned up and he was not available the rest of the staff knew exactly who we are and could help deal with our questions.
Samuel went out of his way to keep the sale going collecting paperwork to be signed and dropping them to the relevant persons to ensure that the process is not delayed and we cant think of another estate agent that was willing to do that.
There are many estate agents in Watford but few that actually know what they are doing. We can highly recommend these guy's.

We have a number of properties and have built up a good understanding of the buy to let market. We've used numerous letting agents, some good, some bad,some very good, some very bad. Dey, king & Haria are better than very good, they are exceptional. Ketz and his partners go far and beyond what is to be expected. They've exceeded all expectations of a letting agent and delivered. Our most recent purchase was marketed and subsequently let out within 24 hours. They've helped us with every aspect, acting on our behalf but also for the tenant. We hope to buy more properties in the Watford area over the years and look forward to bringing more business in the direction of this fantastic letting agent. Keep up the great work guys.

I would recommend Dey King & Haria for anyone who wants their property managed.
This was all new to us, and after speaking to a few real estate agents and asking a lot of questions (some of the agents didn't seem to want to help unless we signed up with them), we decided to go with DKH because they were honest, helpful, were willing to answer any questions that we had, knowledgeable, and were not pushy.
The best quality about them is their honesty, and the fact that they do what they say they're going to do. This is my highest valued characteristic as you have to be able to trust the person/company that you're going to entrust with your property.
Their experience and professionalism shines through from how promptly and efficiently they get things done, and they are very flexible and can work around any last minute changes.

Not like the big boys, in fact they are FAR FAR better by a mile!
It's all about volume sale & lettings to most of the larger agents as they have huge agency costs to cover. In doing so, they lose sight with what's important - customer care, because they're too rushed off their feet to pay attention to the details that count.
Not so with these chaps Ben, Ketz and Sam, their attention to detail & proactive approach to our fully managed letting was exemplary. The brochures were very impressive as they focused on areas that they knew would sell/rent well for the current market and location. They knew exactly what type of tenant we were after & found the perfect match. They are extremely proficient at reading people, be they a vendor, landlord, buyer or tenant.
They have a wealth of experience in regard to sales and know the market extremely well. For our purchase they weren't at all pushy and were pretty laid back.
All the partners came across very professional and their experience shows. A refreshing change, as they have a more modern approach to sales and lettings compared to more traditional or dare I say "typical" agents.
Keep up the good work chaps and don't grow too big too quickly, for the sake of your clients!

I will begin with a comparison with other agencies we contacted, after which we could tell that Dey King & Haria was the best agency we found and we are happy we rented through them. We were in the process of moving to Britain and looking for a place to rent. Most of the agencies we interracted with were barely sketching any interest in their customers. Most agents, when showing us a place, didn't even know anything about it, they just read the details from a print of the web ad, so basically they weren't able to provide any clear Information more than what we already found on the internet.
However, with Ketz Haria from Dey King & Haria the experience was completely different. From the first moment we could see he knew the property very well and was able to provide clear and honest answers to all of our questions. His honesty was a big difference from all the other agents we went through, and was a big help for us, during the stressing time of finding a place to stay.
After the initial process of getting the rent was over, he continued to help us with any issues we had on the property, spending his personal time and energy when we couldn't do it ourselves anymore.
From visiting their agency I could tell that the other partners in the company probably share the same philosophy regarding their customers, and I can only wish them that they get the same good will and honesty from their customers.

"Estate Agents" are like Marmite and I have had the pleasure over the last few years in hearing the verbal diarrhoea that comes out of 98% of their sales staff. You know the saying “First Impressions Count" and it certainly did when I met Sam from Dey King & Haria. I had never heard of this independent agent and it was a breath of fresh air to meet someone, who was professional, gave us the full Intel of the property and allowed us to look around at our leisure, (was vacant). Although it took us 4 months to complete, we were in constant contact with Sam and he was liaising with the vendor on what the delay was and where we were with our mortgage. In the end we finally got our keys and I would recommend everyone in the Herefordshire area if you want to sell, buy or rent use Dey King & Haria.
No nonsense Estate Agent, highly professional with exceptional customer service.

I would recommend Dey King & Haria Estate Agents to anyone thinking about selling their house - they are not like your usual Estate Agents - they are very professional, honest and reliable. The guys are very personable unlike any estate agents I have previously known. Sam was very pro-active, you could always contact him, he was never to busy to talk to you and he worked tirelessly to keep my sale on track, doing far more work for us than is required from an estate agent.

I spoke to MANY estate agents before deciding who to appoint to sell my flat in Watford and I cannot fault Dey, King & Haria.
It was obvious Ben, Sam and Ketz are highly experienced, passionate and honest.
I was told by the big nationwide estate agencies that they were the best option because they had agencies all over the country and that they had a lot of people working behind the scenes to secure the viewings and manage a viewing diary. I much preferred to have 3 experienced guys (rather than 20 Junior staff) working hard to find a buyer because they are driven to build their new business in a competitive environment. The fact that in this day and age Zoopla and Right Move are key means that the large nationwide agencies do not hold the strength of distribution any more.
Ben went over and beyond what he needed to do in order to keep track of the solicitors involved in the sale. You could easily reach Dey, King & Haria at anytime of the day and they even offered me great advice on helping me find something to purchase - even though it wasn't through them.
I accepted an offer on my flat in less than a week of it being put up for sale, and they even had two viewings the same day the flat went onto the market!
I would highly recommend Dey, King & Haria and will be using them in the future.

I have a small portfolio of properties and have used a number of different Estate Agents over the past few years but having had some bad experiences along the way with some bad advice by some so-called professionals, so I became distrusting of Estate Agents. Well, that is, until I have stumbled across this wonderful Estate Agency that has changed my opinion of the industry. Dey King & Haria Estate Agents are professional, informative and a pleasure to work with. Whilst taking the photographs they moved some of the furniture around which made my property look amazing in the brochure they produced. The property attracted plenty of attention, more than I have known previously, and from the several offers I received, I was able to make an informed decision about which Tenant I wanted to proceed with. My tenant has just moved in and it’s all been hassle-free. If you’re the kind of person that respects a good service and by people that care, I would whole heartedly recommend Dey King and Haria Estate Agents.

As first time buyers, our experience dealing with Sam Dey from Dey King & Haria Estate Agents was (and this is no exaggeration) superb. From the onset Sam was great at communicating and dealing with the negotiations. All the typical “estate agent” stereotypes that we dreaded as first time buyers were put to rest, as we never felt rail-roaded or misinformed. Sam was always very straight-talking and to be frank, went above and beyond the normal duty of an estate agent to help us seal the deal and purchase our first property, even helping us see the property for the second time on his day off (a Sunday!) . It was not a straight –forward sale due to the fierce London property market, and having a trusty estate agent really did make all the difference – thanks very much Same – Debbie and Paul!

We had dealt with them before when buying our first property and thought we would go with them and one of the larger well known agents. We shouldn't have bothered with the larger, well known, highly overpriced agent as they found a buyer on day one and coached them (first time buyers) through the process, keeping them and the sale on track. Samuel Dey went above and beyond making himself available at unsociable times and we are very grateful for the great result. Could not recommend him and his company highly enough.

I really can't fault DKH - their professionalism and attitude to work is fantastic and they genuinely care about their customers.
We were first time renters and they took care of everything and didn't surprise us with any unexpected/hidden charges - everything was laid out and presented to us clearly. The brochure for the property was excellent and included clear, high quality photos instead of small, blurry photos that I've experienced in the past!
A very friendly bunch who are a pleasure to deal with; would thoroughly recommend them whether you're selling, letting, buying or renting!

I have to say that we could not have been happier with the way you at your Watford high street office handled the letting of our home. The level of professionalism, marketing and communication from you was outstanding!
The brochure you made of our home was just amazing and immediately attracted the exact type of interest we were looking for, which was something the other agents we were using showed they didn't have the first clue about, and that actually made us believe they really didn't care!
It was very obvious that you guys are top professionals as everything seemed so easy, you really took the stress out of the whole experience!
