I recently assisted a friend in moving out of a London apartment she had rented through this agency. Unfortunately, our experience with the agency’s representative was extremely unprofessional and upsetting. My friend, who is currently outside the UK, had asked me to collect her remaining belongings and return the keys on her behalf. When we arrived simply to do this, the agent showed up and, in an almost assault-like manner, very aggressively yanked the keys out of my other friend’s hands. We were not refusing to hand them over at all — we were simply holding them because we were in the midst of packing up her things. This was an unnecessarily physical and intimidating act that felt entirely out of line. The agent behaved rudely and treated us as if we were second-class citizens, even though we were only there to help peacefully resolve the situation on behalf of someone who couldn’t be present herself. At no point did we cause any disturbance; we were simply doing what was asked of us. It is completely unacceptable for a business representative to use physical aggression or intimidation in any circumstance. We do understand that the agency may have had prior problems with our friend — the tenant who is currently not in the UK. However, we were not her, and we had nothing to do with any prior disputes. The disrespect and aggression we were shown were completely unnecessary and unprofessional. What’s more, the incident left my friend in tears, highlighting just how distressing and unwarranted the agent’s behavior was. No one should ever be made to feel unsafe or humiliated in a situation like this. One staff member’s actions reflect the entire business, and based on this encounter, it’s clear that no one should have to deal with an agency that treats people this way. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of respect is beyond disappointing, and I strongly caution others to stay away from this agency entirely.... Read more

This company is an embarrassment. They already had to make a donation to my charity of choice because of their continual screw-ups. It took me over six months working with the Property Ombudsman to accomplish that. HERE IS THE LATEST...............It has been six months since they were dismissed from "managing" my rental house for me. "Managing" is a very flattering description of what they were doing, I would honestly describe it as MISMANAGING. Yesterday, (six months later), I received an invoice from them for admin fees for third quarter and fourth quarter. They had done nothing.........zero, zilch , NOT A THING...........yet they charged me £240.00 for a filing fee.....which they had not filed. I immediately wrote to these clowns and asked what the fees were for and requested afull explanation explanation and description of the filing fees. Today............with NO, ZERO, ZILCH explanation at all and certainly NO, ZERO, ZILCH apologies they sent a revised invoice crediting my account. They are either extremely dishonest or grossly incompetent. Even if it is simply gross incompetence I would strongly recommend avoiding them.... Read more

I had a frustrating experience with Druce when trying to recover an £800 deduction that was taken from my rent refund to cover an outstanding utility bill. Despite clear written confirmation that any excess would be refunded, I received no proper breakdown, no final bill, and evasive responses when I followed up for months. Their handling was unprofessional and lacked transparency. Emails went unanswered, and when they finally responded, they ignored key details and shifted responsibility instead of providing clear answers. If you’re considering renting through Druce, be prepared for poor communication, a lack of accountability, and difficulty getting your own money back. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone who values professionalism and honesty.... Read more

I can not recommend or endorse this agency, especially for Americans moving to the UK who are used to a 100x better experience working with rental agencies. I rarely ever leave bad google reviews but this agency deserves it. When I received the keys to my flat, I walked in the door to an incessant, loud beeping noise because they had not replaced the battery to the fire alarm. I had to get on a ladder and pull out the batteries so i didn't lose my mind within minutes of moving into my flat. On top of that, my home had not been adequately cleaned: they left so much of the previous tenant's trash and belongings that I spent the first 2 hours in the home throwing out the previous tenant's stuff. there were at least 50+ random items that were just shoved into cupboards and drawers. They had not even opened up the washer/dryer to remove the previous tenants' DAMP UNDERWEAR - disgusting. They cleaned the shower but left a shower curtain in that was covered with a considerate amount of mold. When I let the team know within hours of moving into my flat, they neither accepted responsibility nor made any offer to remedy On top of that, their communication is horrible. An agent either leaves or gets fired every month so you are constantly having to track down new people to speak with when there is an issue or request. I was and continue to be disappointed in the quality of service I was expecting for what is supposed to be one of London's best agencies.... Read more

I just want to take a moment to thank Daisy Pitt through my one month journey of flat searching. I was mainly looking for flats in Mayfair and Marylebone and due to my high standards, I have contacted 9 agencies(including Dexter, Cater Jonas…)and Daisy is the only one who really takes good care of me. The journey began with Daisy sent email to me. After replying, I was busy stuck with work and not being able to pick up my phone during work hours. A lot of agencies would just stop contacting because clearly they don’t want to ‘waste’ time. Daisy was different. She called me 5 times with some picked up and some missed. The first time the line finally got in, I felt terribly sorry and I was going to call her back anyway after work. We recently put an offer on a flat which was accepted, and we subsequently appointed our solicitors and got our contractors and architects involved to start planning our works. We were very transparent that we wanted to make some structural changes in the flat and were making enquiries to understand what we could change. The agent had explicitly told us (without us asking) that they had not been showing the flat to potential sellers. Much to our surprise, while we were still in the timetable agreed with the vendors, the agent had decided to negotiate with another party who put in a competing offer. Their reasoning was that they were put off by us looking into the structural changes we were going to make, despite us being transparent from the start and assuring them that the sale was not subject to that. The agent had been fairly rude and prickly from the start, however this was the last straw. We were keen on the flat and had already spent a considerable amount in fees, but decided to withdraw. When you are dealing with agents, you don't expect them to lie to you and to deal with other potential sellers once you have started proceedings, especially while you are still in the timetable agreed with the vendors. Had they explained their concerns to us before doing so, or if we had passed the timeline agreed, it would have been understandable - however this was not the case. I would advise you not to work with Druce. Buying a potential home is a big decision and you should feel secure that your estate agent is not acting unprofessionally or dishonestly. We've been in the real estate market for over 20 years and have never experienced anything similar, and will be advising our friends who invest in property in the area.... Read more
