Having experienced some issues with a previous agent selling our property where they weren’t being proactive enough in marketing the property or contacting potential interested parties I turned to Freeman Forman. We are yet to receive an offer/have our first viewing, but the difference in service so far is night and day. Charlene has been absolutely incredible and in under a week made time not only to meet with us, but to have photographs taken, the property marketed and the first viewing scheduled. She really took the time to understand the property and you can see her genuine passion for what she does. I first met Ross last year, he kept in touch with me regularly and always kept me in mind for new shared ownership properties that came available. Having Dan in branch to organise the mortgage was so helpful and made the whole buying process smooth and stress free. The whole team have been fantastic from start to finish. Bullying and unprofessional.
After no apology from 'Branch Manager' , Jamil, (who did not listen to the recordings of two calls to us) defended his member of staff.
Update: Having followed the link sent to us to make a complaint was told it was the wrong address who then told me where to pass it, that is 'Countrywide' who own this Estate Agent. No reply from Area Manager; then when trying to lodge an official complaint for bullying, but feel like we're being sent from pillar to post.
My daughter is still upset about the appalling way she was treated.

I had all but given up finding a nice flat in either Eastbourne, Bexhill or St Leonards.
Then Harley from Freeman Foreman whom I had for had registered with early in my search, called me and asked me if had found anywhere as yet, she had a most wonderful flat to show me!
On seeing the pictures she sent o er I knew I had to have it and that this would indeed be my dream home in Eastbourne.
Viewing day came round and I met Daniel who was as with Harley the nicest and most welcoming warm person, I was then under his and Harley's wings and I cannot recommend their Service more highly. Human, warm, kind and efficient.
Moving day came round and Dan was at the flat with a moving in gift pack, this made the otherwise stressful day so much better and I again was touched by the warmth and professionalism shown me.
Many many thanks Harley and Dan, two lovely people.

I have put one star as it won't allow me to put any less. Experienced unlawful, unacceptable unprofessional customer service at Eastbourne branch with senior branch manager, Dan.Begining a complaint with the view to pursue with Ombudsmen. I will update my experience further.
Reply to your comment. Firstly, 'iv caused upset, well your company has caused me alot of distress which has been documented to your customer service team.
No I don't pay you as a client, so does that mean my complaint is unjust? So that then gives you the right to your unprofessional, unlawful behaviour? I guarantee if I was filling your pockets you would have resolsolved the issue almost instantly.
I am the owner of a property with legal access across two properties at rear of which you managed the two houses until recently, now you manage one. My access was obstructed by locking system on gate. You were informed from day one, of my disability and my need to use my back access is vital. It took you nearly 5 weeks, for you to action, and remove obstruction. Is that fair? Sorry I forgot, I don't fill your pockets.
However the issue is a legal one and you are responsible for your conduct relating to the house rental you manage and my legal access. I am pursuing to ombudsmen once you complete your complaints investigation that I requested.

I booked a viewing of a property to purchase. The day before the viewing the agent rang me to say they have just agreed an offer on the property. This is a terrible service for the seller. They did not give the seller the opportunity to get the best price for his property.

Booked to view. Stated I could not make the Friday as I was working as they tried to get me booked in with other people viewing. I made arrangements for the Saturday then received a voicemail message to ring the office. It would have been great to mention in the voice mail what they rang for. I rang the office and explained I had received a message to conract office. The person answered had no idea of why his colleague rang. Again it would have been more efficient if someone left detailed messages. Eventually managed to ascertain why his colleague rang. He then proceeded to say could I make it for tomorrow ie the Friday!! I had to then explain I couldn't make it due to work. He then saud they would rinf me the next day to let me know if Saturday was going to be OK. I left it at that and had second thoughts due to the experience I had. I rang abd told them to forget about the viewing. It's a shame because this could have been a sale for them but they were indifferent. It makes you wonder how these agents are marketing your property. I had the same problems with other agents when selling my home.

The letting team, headed by Adam Denton Marla, successfully found tenants for two of my properties , within days of the old tenants handing in their notice. They demonstrated understanding of the local market, as well my personal preferences. They dealt with the referencing in a very professional way. They were available at all times to discuss particular concerns of mine and handled them all very efficiently. I cannot fault their handling of this changeover of tenants and will recommend them to other landlords.

I've just completed my flat sale and I have to say that Jamil and his team kept me informed throughout and made the whole process stress-free. I had previously tried to sell using Leaders, however after 5 fruitless months I needed fresh eyes. Jamil had my flat sold in a matter of weeks.

Avoid!!
Really difficult to get hold of them, never pick up the phone.
Booked a viewing for a flat that came available on a friday morning called them straight away to be the first and got told the earliest view was on tuesday.
Property got rented on sunday and had no one cancelling the viewing had to go to the agency and got told someone was going to call me.
Monday afternoon get a call from the agency and they told me the property had been rented and i asked " how come as the earliest viewing app was tues ? " and they just simply put the phone down.

Won't be recommending Freeman Forman to any of our friends and family.
This particular branch have been an absolute nightmare to deal with, when it came to our old tenants vacating our property. The tenants had left some oily marks on our expensive sisal carpet by the entrance. The agency point blank refused to use a penny of their deposit to pay for the cost of replacing the carpet in the affected area. Instead, someone from the agency accused us of wanting to replace our "old carpet" at the cost of the tenants. It was so incredibly unprofessional.

I was told my offer had been accepted on a property after providing ID and proof of funds. I was congratulated! Days later I looked on Rightmove on a whim and discovered that the property was still offered for sale up to the date of exchange of contracts if offers exceeded my own. I had engaged a, solicitor and paid for searches. Thank goodness things had gone no further. I was told the next day they had received a better offer. The manager, Mr. Nahoor had a cavalier and dismissive attitude when I complained. Disgusting!

Avoid at all cost. Not only did I have to chase 3 different people on 3 separate occasions, but there seems to be no communication between any of the team. I left a voicemail, a handful of emails, was assured that we were first on the list for viewings. When I called to ask for an update, they said that there were no available dates! So when I was told someone was going to call me back the next day (which they never did) I called them for an update and was told that the properties were already let! Francesca did not return my email or call, Molly was the one who did not call me back when she said we were first on the list for viewings, and Dan pencilled our phone call in his diary, but surprise surprise, never called me back. Time wasters.

Avoid these people! Francesca Gorman especially. Condescending, patronising, unprofessional and wanted over £4000 of rent up front even though we can provide a home owner guarantor and all usual upfront fees. Can see from the comments, they did this to someone else too. Wouldn't rent a BOX from these people. They also go by three names; Freeman Foreman, Countrywide and Lampons Lets. So avoiding all three would be my advice.

First viewing was put off at the last minute several times , i was put under pressure after the viewing " we have to show someone else round " the sales person would not enter the flat after the lease was signed to hand over , on viewing the flat there was a fridge in place and i confirmed that it would be part of the flat but when i moved in it had been removed, i reported and was told thats correct ,I have reported faults and have been told that i have to contact the land lord to get it sorted

Rip off's got mugged off as soon as I rented a place

1 6 months rent in advance
2 a cubbord fell away from the wall damaged my new fridge freezer
3 trying to blame us for mould on the walls when even previouse tennants had the issue and it was just painted over
4 windows letting cold air in
5 admin fees example renewing contract £££
Advice is print one off at home save a few quid
6 deposits £££ few hundred quid
7 place I'm in has mould issues in the hall way
8 poor ventalation systems
9 poor damp proofing
I would carry on going but there is too much to list

I have recently instructed Freeman Forman to find a tenant for my property and was delighted with the service from the moment I walked into the office until the tenant moved in.
The marketing was comprehensive, accurate and attractive. They were also the most competitively priced.
I dealt exclusively with Alex, the assistant Lettings manager and I cannot speak highly enough of him. He is polite, personable, knowledgeable, efficient and reliable. Exceptional service from start to finish. I had used other agents for some of my properties before, but Freeman Forman exceeded my expectation. I had one of my properties on with 3 agents, including Freeman Forman. They were the only agent who kept me informed after every viewing and they found me a tenant before the other agents. I have now instructed them on two of my other properties and plan to hand over my portfolio in the near future in order for me to enjoy my retirement. I can be rest assured that they will look after my properties and tenants.
