Shocking service by Gascoigne Halman, if thinking on renting a property through them AVOID as you won't get your deposit back, after leaving the property haven't heard back from them and they are not willing to release the deposit. Now I find myself looking for legal advice in order to get my deposit back, they try not to take responsibility even if you paid that deposit directly to their account. Really poorly managed and really unfair for the tenants. Will not be using them in the future and I don't recommend anyone to do it.... Read more

I've been renting for over 10 years and dealt with many letting agents around Greater Manchester, none of whom come anywhere close to being as classy an experience as Gascoigne Halman (Marple Bridge) provide - particularly Regan is an outstanding agent who really went out of her way for us. It is rare to find a number of incompetent people in one place but Gascoigne Halman have succeeded. Perhaps it is down to their recruitment policy. No knowledge of catchment areas or proper answers to basic questions when viewing a property. Then completely mislead us with statements that are later found to be completely false. Not to be trusted!! Not sure who was worse GH or Julian Wadden but based on knowledge, professionalism and personality I would look towards Lawlers or Bridgfords whether buying or selling.... Have misled me on two property purchases. The first, 7 years ago, whereby dimensions for a living room were inflated, which led to an incorrect sofa being ordered. Then most recently with a property sold as two parking spaces when in fact that is debatable legally speaking. Strongly advise using Julian Wadden in Marple who were nothing short of brilliant....
