I just bought my first house through Goodman and Lilley. I actually had a couple of sales fall through before this one proceeded, they were very helpful throughout and did everything they could to make this happen. Adam and the team have a very personal approach to their customers, when you ring them it's clear that everyone knows what's going on with the different sales and communication is really good. They also are honest with all parties and I felt very safe as a first time buyer with them. Would highly recommend particularly compared with other larger outfits working in Bristol.

I have had a really good experience with Goodman and Lilley, both with buying and selling my house. Personally I feel they are the most knowledgeable agents in the area. Shirehampton branch AVOID AT ALL COSTS. A whole host of disasters. Staff lying about viewings being booked/cancelled and pretending they had gone ahead and creating feedback from potential buyers. TERESA particularly unprofessional and rude. Left my house unlocked for more than 48 hours after a viewing. Does not present a professional ‘face’ of the business. Staff constantly giving potential buyers incorrect information (despite me writing a crib sheet to try and rectify this problem) and ‘talking down’ about the area the property is in. Failing to qualify potential buyers, failing to represent my interests. I switched to the Henleaze branch and found Andy to be extremely professional and helpful. He offered to try and rectify the errors made by the Shirehampton branch and succeeded. Well done to Andy. Make him manager at Shirehampton!

Can only sing the praises of Goodman & Lilley and more specifically Sascha and Claire. Claire was lovely in helping answering some of my concerns with the application stage, and Sascha was kind and patient throughout, even with all the hiccups and stresses that the process brought along the way. The service I received from Sascha and Claire when we instructed them to rent out our property was not only very professional but they were really helpful, they responded almost immediately and efficiently to any emails or phone calls, this is almost unheard of at the moment. They I feel go above and beyond in the way they deal with not only their clients but the tenants they find. I would not hesitate to use them for any other transactions we require but would highly recommend them and the company they work for to anyone looking to do business in Shirehampton or the surrounding area. For over 25 years I had my own estate agency business and I do probably high very high expectations of the service given so this is indeed very high praise which is well deserved.

I've been a tenant with Goodman & Lilley for a year now and always found them responsive and deliver the best quality of service I've ever found. This year I needed to move to a bigger house, and with the housing situation in the area where potential tenants far outweigh available properties so many other Lettings Agents have had a can't be bothered attitude as they know they will be able to let the property one way or another.
However, both Sascha and Claire were the complete opposite. Even though the property I eventually got was beautiful and I imagine had lots of perspective applications I was always treated like a customer and both provided me the greatest respect and care. I cannot sing the praises of Sascha, Claire and the whole Goodman & Lilley team.
I am really happy I get to continue my experience with Goodman & Lilley as they have been absolutely faultless in the year I have known them.

I recently sold my property through Goodman & Lilley in Shirehampton and would highly recommend them. My property had only been marketed for a week when I had my first offer. 1 week later I received a second offer and the sale was agreed. In those 2 weeks there were a high number of viewings and the sales team kept me informed throughout. Nathan was my main contact along with Adam although whenever I contacted the office all the staff were helpful and informative. There were delays and difficulties with the sale mainly down to solicitors. Nathan smoothed this over and kept the sale on track. I would highly recommend them as a friendly professional team who proactively sold my house.

Goodman Lilley - Shirehampton are the best agent I've EVER used. I first met Adam Lenik at the end of 2018 and he immediately understood the type of property I was looking for. My inbox only received info about such property and I wasn't simply put on a mailing list and sent every single property going.
Although Adam is my main point of contact, Teresa, Jess and Lucy are also brilliant! Lucy handled the sale completion process and continually followed up with all parties, it wasn't simply left to the solicitors to sort out (which I've witnessed before and has held up chains).
I cannot recommend them enough! In a sea of sharks, it as refreshing to deal with such a lovely warm, friendly and professional business. Keep up the great work team :-)

AVOID!!! THEY DONT CARE AND YOU WILL LOSE YOUR DEPOSIT.
Rented a house in Shirehampton which when given to us was in absolutely terrible conditon, very bad mould growth, very strong smell of dogs and cigarettes, holes in walls, flaking paint, yellow stains seeping from the walls, cracked tiles, lose toilet, overgrown garden, the list goes on and on. It was incredibly depressing. Disputed with Goodman and Lilley who did NOTHING when we asked them, so we ended up fixing, cleaning and redecorating the house at a cost to ourselves.
Now at the end of our tenancy, we handed back the property in a significantly better conditon than when it was given to us and they have taken our deposit saying the house was dirty and needed professional cleaning! Very biased and one way system that leaves the tenant out of pocket with no way of disputing anything, they just want your money. TRUST ME STAY AWAY!

Posted a review a little while ago but thought it would make sense to write a small bit about my experience with this company.
My partner and I were looking for a new flat to move in to and I had arranged a viewing but needed to get a train ride to the offices and then head to the flat from there. I’d gotten off the train and was literally on the doorstep of the company when I’d had a phone call and voicemail left saying the viewing in 5 minutes was cancelled.
Absolutely fuming at the time I walked into the offices as I was at the door already and was met with an apology but nothing they could do. I understand, things happen, but for the agent to tell me that the current tenant had let her know half an hour ago that the flat would not be available for viewing, yet she had only managed to call me 5 minutes prior to the appointment. With enough notice it would have been fine as I may have not caught the train already. Of course I left in a bit of a huff due to lack of notice. I’d taken time off work for this and I’d travelled so I was upset as I was excited to see our potential new home and be let down at such short notice.
She asked whether I wanted to arrange a viewing for another time but I was just so frustrated I wanted to leave.
Fast forward to a few days later I receive a call and another voicemail from the SAME agent saying that the viewing we had arranged for that day was unfortunately cancelled....? Immediately called her back and said that she’d obviously rang the wrong number so she could tell the actual viewer the news and the fact the current tenant/landlord keeps cancelling these viewings I’m surprised if she’ll ever rent out the place. It was gorgeous and I was sad to have let it go but I was not willing to put up with the unprofessional way I was treated.
I’ve seen the rest of the reviews and they are very positive so I understand it may have just been bad timing for me and things do happen. I was just extremely disappointed on this occasion.
I was laughed at in the office when I expressed my disappointment and I was scoffed at down the phone when she’d called my number by accident. Any other adverts they had for any other flats I ignored, regardless of how nice the flat was, I found every way I could to avoid this company to stop further disappointment.
