He earned these 5 stars, down to being incredibly professional, warm and friendly, and frankly the best person I have come across when selling a house. He was keen to help us sell, and didn't make me feel like I was rushed or un-important - this man gets 10/10

We were very impressed with Adele Baker from Goodman Lilley. My partner and I had viewed several properties with different estate agents before she showed us round a house in Bristol last Friday. It was a very different experience with Adele. We knew the property needed fully modernising. She was knowledgeable about what to look out for, what would need work and what wouldn't and, for example, how to check how old the electricity meter was. And she could tell us about the improvements made to another similar house in the street, to give an example of what was possible. She was also able to advise us about the market in general in Bristol and the range of prices across different areas. Her approach and her knowledge really stood out compared to other agents we have met.

We recently sold our house with Goodman and Lilley. Adele was absolutely superb through the whole process and guided us through the process with professionalism, integrity, and care! I'll be honest, we were a bit sceptical about using them at the beginning but all of our fears were out to bed and we would definitely recommend Adele and the team at G&L!
When we were looking around at different agents, Adele stood out for us as you could tell she wanted to help us to move on to our next home. The rates were competitive and she did the viewings herself or with her colleague Vicky if she wasn't around, so we knew we had a good team working on selling our home rather than some of the other agents who seem to let the house sell itself, which means prospective buyers could miss all of the little touches and improvements we had made unless they had a very discerning eye. They also ensured everyone had enough time to view the property with longer viewing slots so prospective buyers had enough time to get a proper feel for the house and weren't rushed through as the next people were waiting.
After we chose Adele and G&L, Adele helped up to set up the house to get out looking at its best. She told us how to style it and even letting us borrow some of her soft furnishings to add the final touches. When we went off the walk around, she took on the details of what we'd done and was making notes so she could recall them later and share them with colleagues as and when necessary.
Our original buyers very frustratingly pulled out but G&L were quick to react and get the property back on the market and find another buyer on the first day we opened it up to viewings.
When our prospective purchase hit a few snags, Adele and the team was very proactive and helpful in guiding us through the hurdles we encountered there.
Both sale and purchase were then pushed through quickly and we are now in our new home!
I cannot recommend Adele and the G&L team highly enough and if we ever need to, we would not hesitate to commission their services again!

If I could give Goodman and Lilley 6 stars, or even 10, I would happily do so. Living 4 hours away, and trying to sell a run-down tenanted property inherited by my mum has been a huge challenge. However, the team at Goodman and Lilley (and I have dealt with many of them over the past year!) have all, without exception, been absolutely fantastic. Adele Baker, my initial contact in Sales is a consummate professional, super efficient, kind, empathetic, creative and extremely communicative (I could go on!), and I genuinely could say the same about everyone I have dealt with - Andy, Vicky, Lucy and no doubt some other poor souls in the office along the way! One sale fell through and the final sale has been fraught with complications owing to the lease, but the team at G&L have remained positive, patient, professional and totally on the ball throughout. I cannot stress how grateful I am that I chose G&M as our agents. They have made a minefield of a sale more than bearable and we completed today! Thank you all so very much.

One word to describe Vicky & Nicola..'Outstanding'!! This was a particularly complicated transaction, due to issues within the chain, both Vicky & Nicola kept lines of comms open at all times, emails were answered immediately & nothing was too much trouble. The whole sale took a little over a year, their knowledge of the process was exemplary & their skills to keep the chain informed & moving in difficult times with, in some cases, not so efficient agents & solicitors was impressive.

Our experience started with the lovely Vicky who was kind and professional throughout our journey! You always know that estate agents are working for the seller but as we have been looking for a property for more than 2 years in the same area, we sometimes dreaded some viewings with some estate agents who took this to the letter. Not with Goodman and Lilley who clearly worked for the sellers but made buyers feel at ease. Pictures are accurate so you are always pleasantly surprised when you view the property in person rather than stretching pictures to the max and when you view it you are bitterly disappointed and feel like you are wasting your time.
When there is competition for the properties, other estate agents really made us feel like we are in a bidding war. With Goodman and Lilley we felt we were told what the buyers were looking for and we matched it, it many ways... price, flexibility etc. They have dedicated staff for the sale process which makes things easier when there are delays and where communication is difficult between solicitors.
And a lovely touch when you complete .. we have received a lovely bunch a flowers delivered to our new house door! Thank you so much Goodman and Lilley for making it happen for us!

We are very grateful to the team at Goodman and Lilley for all their support in our moves. We were a slightly more complicated transaction as we had two houses to sell (and split the chain) and then found ourselves in a 9 property massive chain. They were able to sell our houses quickly and then were very supportive through the rest of the process - Vicky in the Henleaze office was very helpful particularly at the end of the process leading to exchange when other agents and solicitors needed frequently chasing and it looked like it might all fall apart, but she was always on top of things and even offered to keep an eye on her emails on non working days! It really felt like they were invested in our move and took responsibility to get things sorted.

I would highly recommend Goodman & Lilley and the amazing team at the Henleaze office. We bought and sold properties with them and the service received was always above and beyond. I would definitely recommend Goodman & Lilley. I mostly dealt with Adele, and after such a bad start with another Agent, Adele got me back to being much more positive about our sale. She was always professional, empathic and could not do enough to help. I can not praise Goodman and Lilley enough for the smooth sale of our property in Henleaze. Both Duncan and Adele couldn't have done more and went well above the call of duty. Adele accompanied me through the house making suggestions on how to present each room. She personally took responsibility to be present to all the viewings except on her day off. I had 6 viewings before the house was actually on the market and had another 35 viewings in the next 7 days ending with a sale for the asking price. I would have no hesitation in recommending Goodman and Lilly to any of my family or friends.

AVOID!!! THEY DONT CARE AND YOU WILL LOSE YOUR DEPOSIT.
Rented a house in Shirehampton which when given to us was in absolutely terrible conditon, very bad mould growth, very strong smell of dogs and cigarettes, holes in walls, flaking paint, yellow stains seeping from the walls, cracked tiles, lose toilet, overgrown garden, the list goes on and on. It was incredibly depressing. Disputed with Goodman and Lilley who did NOTHING when we asked them, so we ended up fixing, cleaning and redecorating the house at a cost to ourselves.
Now at the end of our tenancy, we handed back the property in a significantly better conditon than when it was given to us and they have taken our deposit saying the house was dirty and needed professional cleaning! Very biased and one way system that leaves the tenant out of pocket with no way of disputing anything, they just want your money. TRUST ME STAY AWAY!

Adele Baker has been a great help in buying a house. Not only did she sell me a house the advise that was given was so good and helpful. This is priceless. She wasn't just out to make a sale she was out to get me a good buy with potential. I can't fault them. She also put me onto a good solicitor and mortgage adviser. They to have been so helpful though the process. Even with a phone call letting me know what is going on in the background as it does go quite and you're left wondering what is going on.
