I had a great experience with Shaheel and Alex at Hunters. I was recommended by a friend and I’m so glad I listened. They were both brilliant at getting back to me, giving me updates and advice. Lettings: Incompetent from start to finish, avoid at all costs.

I don't usually write reviews but felt so strongly about how bad Hunters are as a letting agent that wanted to share our experience to help warn others. My wife and I are landlords ourselves but had to move into rented accommodation for a short period of time. We would be ashamed if our tenants were treated the way we were by Hunters.

A brief summary of our issues are below:

- Entered our property without permission - tried on another occasion and we only found out as we were in
- Failed to provide a valid gas safety certificate
- Needed to be chased multiple times to send a plumber to fix central heating when it was 2 degrees Celsius outside
- When 'plumber' did arrive, he had no tools and asked to borrow a knife to repair boiler. When he couldn't fix boiler with knife he then knocked on neighbours' door to ask to borrow some tools
- Took 8 weeks to fit a blind after being chased multiple times. Continually changed the time slot for when blind would be fitted. Eventually work was completed late on a Saturday night
- Claimed property had been cleaned to a professional standard at check in when it had not
- Misled about irrelevant clauses on tenancy agreement not being able to be changed / deleted - they eventually agreed to do this when we threatened to pull out of tenancy agreement
- Charged extortionate admin fees at sign-up and checkout fees at end for the privilege of the above service

The majority of our issues were only dealt with once we had tracked down and contacted the landlord directly.

As if to prove just how incompetent they are just one last time, Hunters also contacted me by phone today about fixing an issue with the property...10 days after we moved out.
