I have rented through Martin and Co prestwich for 4 years. I have to have the service from Barbara was exceptional. She dealt with maintenance issues from when I moved in and did the house inspection. She was lovely polite and really cared. She was always quick to reply even if she hadn’t got a response from the landlord. She would always chase up anything and get back to us. She also came and did our final handover of the keys even though it was not her role. Again she was very pleasant and lovely to deal with. Her customer service she goes above and beyond and I can’t thank her enough for making moving out such a nice easy experience especially being in the process of buying and doing up my own house. Barbra is an incredible asset to the Prestwich team and anyone who gets to deal with her will get first class service.

I wanted to buy a BTL from them 4 years ago, I was already a landlord, so knew what was required in terms of paperwork etc. Agreed everything with them, came in & gave my paperwork, they even went so far as to phone my mortgage broker & see my bank statements. After all this once they had agreed to sell to me, they called me back the next day stating some else had increased the offer, got me into a bidding war, which they say i lost. I pulled out, they then rang me again to say if i wanted it, as the other buyer had pulled out. I never went ahead as they left such a bad taste in my mouth. Worst estate agent/branch I have ever dealt with. Very unprofessional. It was the prestwich branch.

I had certain problems myself as I’d started a new business and had no physical wage slips, however, Dayna went above and beyond to guide me through what was needed to secure the tenancy whilst ensuring the landlord was financially covered and at ease with everything.
I couldn’t recommend Dayna more for the efficient, professional and personal service to make the nightmare of moving home a hassle free experience.

I faced problems at every step of the way as my agent went on a vacation on the week I was supposed to move into my new place. My agent didn't even inform me about her vacation which led to a lot of miscommunication, further, she didn't even inform her colleagues about my case which ultimately forced me to stay in a hotel for a week before I could get my keys. Furthermore, at the time of leaving the place, I was charged £90 for the alleged cleaning of the kitchen hob, oven, and bathtub boundary for which I never got a bill but had to pay as I wanted my deposit back (which anyway took 2 weeks).

As she knew about the time constraint, she was able to go out of her way to get the application process and referencing sent over and signed off sooner than the company usually do. I've had to change my review to 1 star because although I successfully sold my property 6 months ago, I've just come to understand that Martin & Co did not pass on any of the property documentation to the buyer's.
With the keys I included a bundle of important documents including boiler service history, instructions on how to set up the smart thermostat and guarantees and warranties.
I think it is completely inexcusable that this information has been lost or has been left lying around their offices when the address of the property must be all over it.
I'll not update my review again unless someone informs me that the missing paperwork has been united with the buyers.

I used Andrew from Martin&Co to sell my property and can honestly not recommend him highly enough. Having never sold a house previously I was very apprehensive about the process but from the initial valuation appointment all the way through to completion Andrew was brilliant. He gave me honest and useful advice, secured numerous viewings on my property within the first week of marketing and secured us a sale at a price higher than we had expected to achieve almost immediately. He then kept us updated all the way through the process and was also able to recommend a fantastic Solicitor. In addition he has been actively helping us look for a new property for ourselves. I know many people find selling a house extremely stressful but thanks to Andrew the whole sale has ran smoothly and kept me stress-free. He has been really professional and friendly throughout and a pleasure to deal with.

What can I say? Well, I have just sold my residential rental property portfolio in Manchester using Martin & Co Prestwich. Both Andrew and Michael were extremely professional with excellent customer service. They kept me informed of progress every step of the way. I have decided to diversify into developing to sell on and I would not hesitate to use Martin & co again. The tenant at my property (which Martin&Co manages) recently moved out, leaving a trail of disaster and filth behind him. A lot of work had to be done in order to prepare the property for going back on to the market. Since I don't live in Manchester, I asked Martin&Co to arrange the work. Barbra Cousins has been absolutely wonderful in advising me and in organising for the work to be done. The property now looks as good as new.

This is my first time using Martin & Co (Prestwich) as letting agents and it certainly won't be my last. From the day I moved in everything was sorted out for me in terms of bills etc. I even received a call advising me as to the best deals available.
In addition to this any problems with the flat are rectified immediately. When I contacted Martin & Co to report my boiler broke down I received a callback within a few minutes from Shelley Harris who arranged a contractor visit. In the meantime Shelley actually came round to my property to inspect the boiler to see if she could figure out what was wrong. I felt reassured following Shelley's visit that Martin & Co were dealing with this as a priority. The contractor that came round fixed the problem in one visit.

I inherited a property in Manchester that required renovation but I live on the South coast so asked Martin & Co to manage the project, which they did brilliantly. They kept in constant contact & e-mailed me photo's of the work progress every few days. As soon as it was completed it went straight on the internet & the prospective tenants were queueing up. My original tenants had to leave for work reasons but the property was only empty for about a week before new tenants were installed.Living near Brighton means I have to leave everything in their hands & trust them, which I do completely since in the 3 years I have been with them they have been totally professional & have never given me a single problem.

I noticed a few negative reviews here and decided I should bring a fair balanced view. I can only guess that some of these views are written by competitors of this agency or disgruntled tenants. I have dealt with this agency for over 3 years and had nothing but a straightforward professional approach. I am a landlord whom has never had a bad tenant via them and they deal with all my maintenance issues. Indeed, I find their staff friendly and approachable. They dealt with difficult tenants on my behalf and just because a tenant cannot get their own way (i.e. Breaking the contract early) doesn`t give them a right be annoyed/aggressive. I would recommend them without hesitation.
