Have been dealing with this company & it's staff for a number of years now, & frankly, they're great. Efficient, punctual, nothing's too much trouble, very easy to contact by phone or email, so helpful & friendly. Had previously has bad experiences with letting agents, but these lovelies have restored my faith! They said I damaged the toilet lid and I had to pay for it. I asked a lawyer about it and he said it was simply wear and tear so I didn't have to pay for it. And they did not give me pictures of how the lid looked like when I moved in. Because I have a highly demanding job I had no time to dispute. I decided to get it over with and just pay them but I was not happy at all. To make things worse after 2 days of the move out inventory they lied to me that I damaged the bathroom sink. The picture showed a crack in the sink like something heavy had dropped in it. It was a very noticeable crack that they couldn't have missed when they did their inventory. Instead they noticed a "damaged toilet lid". It is quiet obvious that some essential components like the toilet lid, seat, tank and bolt may need routine maintenance, repair and replacement due to wear and tear. Too many discrepancies for a "well known reputable company..."

I have been renting through Martin & Co since December 2020 and they are the best letting agency that we have gone through. We originally viewed a different property which was not for us, the same day they arranged a viewing on a house that they felt more suited to us and they were right! They found our perfect house for us. We have had a couple of problems recently through no fault of the owner or the Estate agents and they have been amazing. A big shout to to Wendy who has helped us sort out the issue, has kept us constantly in the loop and even went above and beyond over weekends and I can imagine her days off. I spoke with several Estate Agents prior to listing our property. When we met Jodi we knew we wanted her to sell our house. She was friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. She knew how much our home meant to us and was considerate and caring throughout the whole process. Nothing was ever too much trouble, she was on the end of the phone at any time of the day/night that we needed to contact her, and dealt with everything super quick. During the time that the sale was going through Beth dealt with lots of back and forth between ourselves and the buyers, and when solicitors were not responding, Beth did, she dealt with everything promptly and efficiently. What I liked about Martin and Co was that I knew who I was talking to each and every time, I wasn't passed on to numerous staff who didn't know about our 'case' and having to repeat things. They are such a friendly team and I would 100% recommend and return too for future house moves. Thank you Martin & Co you were excellent.

Also, hats off to Martin and Co - it is so good when the estate agent uses their own staff to do viewings, as it helps the buyer understand more about the property to make better informed decisions.

5 stars isn’t enough, if I could I would have given Jodi and her team 10 out of 10, I couldn’t fault Martins at all, having just sold the family home of 25 years for my parents to down size and move closer to family. There’s no corporate or pushy sales from Martins, Jodi came across as very professional and friendly from the start and we felt that we would get the personal service from Martins. From the first meeting with Jodi for the valuation right the way through to completion nothing was never to much trouble. With what turned into being a complicated sale and with myself not living in Stafford and having to deal with everything over the phone Jodi and her team were always very helpful every step of the way.
Martins are a happy, professional and friendly estate agents with a first class approach who are willing to go the extra mile if need be.

If you are looking to rent from this organization then stay clear.
They have left me feeling Depressed, Frustrated and very upset.
After 2 years being a customer renting a home in Stafford for myself and my son who always paid on time even through Covid when I lost my employment I still managed to pay the rent and bills etc.
All the visits they do and supposed to come every few months to check on the property always had positive feedback saying the house is being well looked after etc etc.
WHEN YOU MOVE OUT.
* Will try to keep your deposit money
* Manager sends harsh emails
* They seem to loose records of works people who attend the property for inspections or call outs etc.
* Poor communication, you will constantly be sending emails or calling to get updates.
* Once you have cleaned the property to how it was when you moved in they will say its not good enough and employ cleaners without your authorization to do so.
I have many videos and pictures of how the property looks when I left it and I am more than happy with the standard and condition more than satisfactory. Actually an improvement to when I moved in.
Manager sent me an email today being very abrupt and not even giving me a simple answer to one of my questions.
My Question: I would like to know how many hours you are paying for the cleaner to clean just the bathroom.
Managers answer: The cleaner will take as long as it takes!
This is after I had taken 1 day off work to go to the property to clean and the bathroom was very clean. Think the landlady is trying to sell the property and just trying to keep as much money as she can.
Trust me guys stay well clear, I am a decent human being who works hard and always pays my way through life. I would not be writing this if I feel I have someway left the property in a poor state, I have not and for that reason I am letting you guys know.

AVOID martin & co!! 2.5yrs I've lived in this property, been waiting for a council property for around 1.5 years, offered somewhere and I asked if they could deduct the remaining rent from deposit for them to send a reference off (made me pay £20 for) to the housing association that offered the 3 bed home to me as I'm overcrowded with me, 2 boys and my daughter in this 2 bedroom saying I owe the money and they wont deduct from out deposit we have with them. We paid to have brand new carpet put down in the living room costing around £240 as it was chipped laminate. Reported 7 repairs 8months ago, roof leaking/boiler leaking being 2 of them but nothing. So I paid £20 for a 'bad' reference so I have now lost the property I was offered for me and my 3 children. The house is in brilliant condition, I've always looked after my homes I've lived in, I'm absolutely livid with them!

Would avoid. Paul Taft (Director) provided false promises to entince me into entering into a tenancy agreement with them. Not surprisinly these promises were never fulfilled. Molly is very rude and i can see that this is not the first review which highlights her poor attitude and decorum towards tenants.
Molly comes across as if she is contractually well versed. Now with any ‘average Joe’ this might work well as an intimidating tool but not with me. Even when there is no contractual grounds to stand on, Molly still persists with being a nuisance Landlord’s representative with regards to the breach of peace, comfort and privacy. I would 100% avoid.

What's not good about it. After 25 years as owners we sold up and joined the rental market. The staff at Martin and Co Stafford were phenomenal. Paul introduced us to Helen Cartwright who processed everything for us. Our landlords are lovely people but we go through Helen for absolutely everything. Nothing is too much trouble whether it be a call to see if everything is ok or to sort out the mundane day to day, week to week jobs of maintaining a home. And a home is what we've been able to make our rented property. Martin and Co look after all their landlords, tenants, buyers and sellers. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Whether you speak to Katie, Helen, Kirsty, Paul or Jodi, the standard remains high. 5 star all the way for the staff here. Thanks

Personally I cannot recommend Martin & Co highly enough. After having my property on sale with another Agent for a long time I decided to try Martin & Co. Within 2 weeks I had accepted an offer on my house and the wheels were in motion.
All of the team are very professional and kept me fully updated at all times with any news concerning the sale of my house.
Extremely happy with there service and all the staff are excellent and very helpful and friendly.

2 years ago I had a conversation with Paul where I expressed an interest in investing in a Buy-to-Let property in the Stafford area. During this meeting Paul presented a plan that would mean over the double the income from the same investment. Essentially this involved buying 3 smaller properties instead of one larger property.
Not only did Paul suggest where to look for the properties that would rent well but also visited potential Buy-to-Lets and gave his honest opinion each time. I must have looked at 25 houses before eventually taking Paul’s advice seriously and after doing so we quickly secured 3 properties that Paul was confident would rent out quickly, including one that Martin & Co were operating as agents for the vendor.
Throughout the buying process Martin & Co were thorough, communicative and very helpful. The whole process would have been even simpler and quicker if we had bought the other 2 properties through them too.
True to his word we had 3 vetted and reliable tenants paying rent almost immediately and since then we have not had a single month without rent from all three properties. Martin & Co have acted as our agents for 14 months and have dealt swiftly with any tenant issues and enquiries, have sourced the most cost effective ways of maintaining the properties, have made regular visits to the properties and, most importantly, kept both the tenants and landlords very happy.
I would gladly recommend Paul, Jodi and the team at Martin & Co Stafford to anyone wanting a rental agent or anyone looking to buy or sell in the Stafford area as I have found them to have be quick, friendly and trustworthy which are surely rare qualities in an Estate Agent.

I cannot recommend Martin & Co at Stafford highly enough. Jodi and the team are extremely professional, communicative and friendly.
I previously employed Reeds Rains to market my house as they're a big company that I'd heard of - never again, it was a complete disaster! As soon as I switched to Martin & Co everything turned around and I received the 5 star service that I'd expected for less cost.
My house was sold with as little stress to me as possible because the staff help you at every point and ensure that you feel completely comfortable that they are handling everything with your best interests in mind.

Excellent service, rented my property very quickly and kept us in the loop throughout the process. Went the extra mile when a door lock broke as they were checking my tenants in, repairman was there within an hour and Jodi stayed with the tenants until it was sorted. Would highly recommend.

They have been brilliant with finding good tenants quickly for properties, nothing is ever too much trouble, they always give honest advice. They are very professional, efficient but really approachable. Everyone at Martin & Co Stafford is very approachable, friendly and helpful. They sorted me out after a disastrous experience with another agent, and all has run very smoothly since then. They have gone out of their way to help both me as landlord and also the tenants.
