Positive right up until the end, unfortunately I was promised a certain discounted price by Blake at the beginning due to it being a share to buy property but when it reached the end he claimed not to know anything about that and I was charged more than I expected. I used secure sale as I didn’t need the hassle of an offer being made and the possible change by a buyer. I was emailed so that I k ew when there would be viewing as I was not at the house. We went on the market at a difficult time with a large property and continual interest rate rises. Not many properties were selling. We received a lot of advice on pricing, some of which was difficult to accept but our agent was up to date with market conditions. We achieved a sale on the very last day of our sales contract and the team worked on our behalf until the very last minute. They biased well with other agents in the chain and came through for us.... We used Miles and Barr and put the house on the market on 1st January 2024 at £525 and dropped it to £475 at their advice, in the 20 weeks we were with them we had just 1 viewing. awful communication, payed for photgraphs and they say we cannot use them again.Took it off the market at the end of 20 week contract and want now to appoint a new agent.... Other independent estate agents mentioned that the valuation was too high with miles and Barr initially, but we felt more confident with them for selling due to their marketing techniques and excellent communication. This was definitely the case, they are friendly, welcoming and seem to put you at ease We did end up lowering the house price within a couple of weeks but this may also have been due to the current economic crisis, not specifically miles and bare being inaccurate... Miles and Barr were excellent agents. They were realistic with their pricing and gave helpful advice on what I could do inside the property to help achieve the highest price. They were proactive and intelligent about bringing the right people around to view meaning I got a sale quickly (7 weeks). They arranged viewings before my property went “live” online rather than waiting. Communication was constant, I never had to ring them as they were organised and efficient in ringing and emailing me.
