We felt the initial valuation was too optimistic esp as the market was full of similar flats. We were not told that and after a few weeks with no interest, the price was reduced. Then I looked at the listing and asked them to change the photos to the ones I had supplied them which showed the flat in a much better light. Still no interest no viewings so we reduced the price again. So overall no success and I was always the one calling for feedback and to initiate change of action plan.

We’ve just put our home on the market and I wanted to give some feedback in the form of a review regarding our experience so far & also our photography session yesterday - Friday 29th May.
Nick from the Canterbury office was covering for a colleague so had to travel to Herne Bay & was absolutely brilliant!!
He was professional, friendly & supportive throughout the process. He talked me through, & took me through the photography process easily, naturally & confidently and it was so interesting to see how it works!
We have indoor cats that mean the world to us & Nick was so respectful & understanding of this and I really appreciate it.
Also, I’d like to say a huge thank you to Harvey from Herne Bay who has been incredible. He’s such a genuine guy with real enthusiasm for what he does & it absolutely shines through. He’s been consistently supportive & helpful and is making what is realistically a stressful time a lot easier!
Rueben from Herne Bay was also extremely polite & professional on our initial first visit to the house that we hope to own! He’s been really communicative & has kept me in the loop with progress so far.
I feel people are far too quick to complain these days but rarely compliment, so I wanted to share my experience as the guys are all amazing and an absolute credit!

As a first time buyer, I cannot fault Miles & Barr one bit. From point of viewing, all the way through to exchange I have felt supported, listened to, understood and well taken care of! For context, I have had a very difficult sale, that’s been going on for over 14 weeks that has caused blood/sweat/tears and sleepless nights! I was assigned Debbie Thwaites to my case and I have to say without her - I wouldn’t have got through it! Not only did she provide professional guidance & advice, she was emotionally supportive which was above all, the most important part to me. She listened when I needed to rant, she bigged me up when I needed a boost, she laughed when I needed cheering up, and was a shoulder to cry on! Debbie needs true recognition for her dedication to the role. Alongside this, I also had James Cussen step into the case and I couldn’t fault him either, he was extremely helpful, offering some really helpful guidance where suitable, very communicative, supportive, understanding and overall great. Honestly, without these 2 people I would’ve given up months ago. In addition to this, whenever I rung the Ashford office, I always had friendly voices answer the phone, which really helped & made a difference!! Miles & Barr really do care. I stand by that and will definitely be coming back if I need to sell in the future!

Fran showed us around a house this week and she was incredible. I was viewing on my own with two small children and she accommodated us fantastically and kept my eldest entertained so I could focus on the property. She was incredibly caring and no questions were too much to ask.

I'd needed to make a claim (upheld by the Property Ombudsman) against another local estate agent, who had dragged out and delayed this 2019-20 (probate) sale, in order to favour their buyer.
After the above delay and attendant loss of several potential buyers was stopped in its tracks, with Miles & Barr being appointed to clear up the mess, they delivered a sale (and with yet more delays around the rent-a-roof solar panels installed by our parents - but they got there in the end), albeit at a lower price than we'd initially hoped for.
