If there was a below 0 star review, it would be the most appropriate. If you are a tenant AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Since we viewed the property, there were multiple potential tenants, and obviously it was meant to put a lot of pressure. After an hour we put down our deposit for the property, and only later we found out the James had taken more than one deposit from the other interested people. During the years we rented the property we had to live with a mouldy wall for over 6 months in the main room of the 34mq flat. At the time of final check of the state of the flat and inventory, since we were moving abroad, we offered to leave items we had bought for the property to enhance it. Such as outdoor tiles made with wood decking and fake grass so the terrace could be used instead of the bitumen surface. James was very happy for us to leave this, and confirmed the flat was in optimal state and nothing to note that would have impacted our deposit from being deducted for damage. Only after we left the UK, and therefore could not discuss and see in person the complaints, he and the landlord started sending very aggressive and unfounded emails, which were in complete opposition to our final in person flat inspection with James. So they have managed to take almost all of our deposit charging us for things such as the removal and disposal of the terrace tiles (AFTER JAMES TOLD US TO LEAVE THEM AS A GIFT FOR THE NEXT TENANTS), defrosting the freezer (which we had done as james saw with his eyes) and many more incorrect claims. On top of all of this for the last two weeks we were paying rent even if we had left, we had been told we could not have friends staying, I will say with much probability that James Nissen and the landlord will have taken the new tenants rent for those weeks and started the contract. I have been renting properties for over 12 years, and have known many agencies, never has my deposit been affected and had issues with any of them. In conclusion I will highly recommend to NOT USE ANY OF NISSEN ESTATES SERVICES, as throughout our experience they have shown unprofessionalism and illicit practices, saying one thing in person with a fake smile and then acting to get the most money and convenience out of you.
