We recently saw a few properties with Northwood and found a house that we fell in love with.
Carys has been very helpful from the start. We've had a rocky road trying to secure it as our sale with another estate agent initially fell through and the property we wanted was over our initial budget but Carys has been regularly in touch with us and the vendors.
After working her magic she was able to secure the property for us. She's been an absolute pleasure to deal with and without her perseverance I don't think we would be in the position we are in.

I went to view a house I loved on with Northwood and asked them to come and value mine, which in turn I ended up on the market with them. Carys showed us around the house and was very knowledgeable and personable yet professional. Within a day or two I had a valuation from Nicola, who was great and Literally had my property on the market within less than 24hours of valuation. Carys took amazing pictures and I was happy that she was enthusiastic about the property and would pass this on to potential buyers. So far I am absolutely over the moon with the way things have gone with Northwood. Sold my property and had an offer accepted on the property I love. They have gone above and beyond to get me in a position to be able to offer on my dream house and I can’t thank them all enough. Especially Carys. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent visit to your office. Upon arrival, I was not greeted properly nor asked to take a seat, which I found unprofessional. Additionally, my details were not taken correctly, and I was dismissed with a vague promise of a follow-up. It was also disheartening to hear that the property I was interested in was unavailable due to multiple bookings, a detail that was not updated on your website. This oversight resulted in unnecessary expenditure of time and money on my part.

I was initially shown around the house by Adi who was very knowledgeable about the property and easy to talk to and without the hard sell! I was very interested in the property so arranged a second viewing so my wife could have a look. Carys showed us around this time and was very patient as we took a while looking around and remained very professional throughout. Both staff were very helpful and I have had a number of conversations since the initial viewings and the service has remained just as good.

I just want to express how happy I am with Northwood and their entire staffs and my good Landlord.
When I moved into their property in Heol Llanishen Fach Cardiff in November 2022, I noticed the fridge door was not closing. I raised this issue with them, they sent a technician to come check it without wasting time. The technician recommended for it to be changed. Northwood changed it and brought in bigger fridge to replace it.
I also noticed that one of the windows was not opening. Then sent in a technician to come change all the locks in all the windows and put in new locks.
My boiler stopped working the first week I moved in, they sent in a plumber to come fix it for me. They also sent a plumber to me every January to come do the Gas Safety Check on the Gas and boiler.
They responded to all the issues I raised and fixed every issue I brought to their attention.
After 1 year of staying in the flat, they told me that the Landlord was happy for me to renew at the existing price but I told them I want to buy my own house. They liaised with the Landlord and agreed to put me on a rolling contract where I would only give them 4 weeks notice when my house purchase gets completed. They were very understanding and supportive.
They also returned my full deposit to me after I moved out and returned the keys of the flat to them.
I have never met a good Estate Agent like NorthWood Cardiff in all my years of renting. They are very polite and respectful and they always want you to have a good stay and experience in their property.

We sold our house with Northwood in October of last year. From the initial stages it was clear, they were ahead of the game and the best at what they do. Not only do they list your property on right move but they use social media, which is where many people focus their search these days, to give advanced previews and live tours. This generated interest before the property even went live on rightmove. The pictures they took were beautiful and made our home look instagram worthy. Nicola really puts time and effort into getting those perfect shots. Shortly after our house sold for full asking on the open day. Jo kept us up to date and informed the whole way through the sale and always kept the lines of communication open. We were highly impressed with the first class service and have since gone on to recommended them to our family members. I've been a tenant with Northwood for almost a year now, and I've had no issues with them. Every time I've had to get in touch with them, they've been quick and responsive. If I've had an issue then they've arranged to get it sorted, and is usually dealt with promptly. I'm also given plenty of notice any time access to the property is needed. I would definitely recommend using them as a letting agent.

The sign up process for Lettings was very easy. We viewed a property, submitted a Note of Interest and then we were offered the property. The check in process was also smooth. A member of staff met us at the property and we went through the inventory.
Any maintenance issues were dealt with by the landlord primarily which did ensure issues were resolved in a timely manner.
During our tenancy we had biannual 'check ups' from a Northwood appointed 3rd Party. This was relatively painless but they usually took quite some time to book in. Not sure they were necessary for such a short lease. One another occasion, Northwood forgot to actually book in the Gas Safe engineer, that resulted in a half day wasted.
Check out was a different experience. In all my past rentals the agent or landlord met at the property a few weeks before the end date to see if there are any issues we needed to 'make good', avoiding any disputes with the DPS. Northwoods process is different. Once you've handed the keys back they will then arrange their 3rd party to inspect the property. Thankfully, we had a good relationship with our landlord and we were able to agree to meet on the day of check out to go through the inventory.
I did have to chase the deposit a week after checkout but it was then released the next day.
Overall we were happy with Northwood as managing agents but in reality, it was our landlord organised the majority of any maintenance/fixes required.

Tenants avoid at all costs. Having experience with Northwood as a tenant and reading reviews, they may provide a good service with sales but this is definitely not the case for rental properties. Our deposit was not protected within the legal timeframe, they tried to insist we take out tenant liability insurance, provided by Northwood (of course) and even called for a quote on my behalf. Emails regarding maintenance issues went unanswered, landlord was actually an employee of the company and when we went to citizens advice due to the landlord turning up unannounced, threatening servicing notice if we didn’t agree to something, we were informed the landlord was not registered, after 18 months of us being in the property. Northwood clearly don’t carry out appropriate checks when working with landlords.

Went to view a place and registered our interest. Said it was available at the end of month (1 week time). 2 weeks later, not heard anything and when I called, they said it was still available. Called them up three times in total, twice nobody had a clue and the boss was away, then they said she'd be back Monday, so we called Monday, and they said it was still available. Shocking customer service and due to that, I'd never use their company. Just imagine living in one of their apartments and constantly talking to a brick wall.

Not only did I have a terrible experience when I rented from Northwood but 3 years on I am now being contacted by a third party because Northwood have shared my details with them incorrectly saying that I have "recently moved". I haven't lived in a Northwood property for 3 years and my details are being willingly shared to third party companies. Not happy at all!
