I sold and bought through Oakheart and although it took 14 months to complete due to legal issues Lucy and Annalise were there supportinge all the way! My property was sold within 1 day of being marketed despite already being shown by other agents who just didnt have the same enthusiasm.

Haven't used them but wanted to give a view on the website. After searching for a specific requirement, you view a property and going back takes you completely out of the selection, meaning you have to input your requirements every time you look at a house. This needs to be amended. Also I could only see at the bottom when interested in a property you have to call (could be wrong but if so wasn't clear could do another way), in all fairness I hate ringing people, needs another option to make contact.

Was optimistic when first deciding to use these guys. My partners words during the build up to renting out one of their properties were "these guys seem really good I've not had much experience with estate agents but they've been really helpful."
I was more skeptical as having used most estate agents in Colchester over the years I am aware that they're all helpful and speedy in corresponding before they take your money, but then once they have it they couldn't care less about any issues or help you need.... Unfortunately I was right again with these guys.
After moving in we asked about the underfloor heating in the lounge that the estate agent who viewed the property told us they had, turns out there's no heating in that room whatsoever which is a legal requirement. When bringing this up to the estate agents they were working at a snails pace to help us to which we had to constantly email and phone to try and get any update/help with. This was all during the cold spell we had in January and meant we could see our breath when going into the front room! Ended up borrowing a plug in heater from a family member which isn't cheap.
After taking more than a month to sort out a plug in heater themselves to give us (still not the legal obligation) we asked for a reduction in rent or compensation to help with the electricity bill which they flat out refused and told us they don't see what the issue is since the last two tenants didn't have a problem with having no heating.
Flash forward to today and have had a threat from the lettings manager that we can end our tenancy if we're unhappy with the property, which at no point have we inferred that we had any desire to do so.
Avoid this estate agent at all cost, they seem cosey because they are more locally based but that just means if there's an issue it's tough and there's no head office you can speak with to try and get the ball rolling. I've dealt with some terrible estate agents and some decent ones but these guys are by far the worst I've ever had to deal with.
Don't worry though we have a plug in heater we can control with an app...

So Oakhaart were my third agent after being on the market for 3 or 4 months. Difficult time to sell I know. I was sold with Oakhaart within weeks. It seems they actually did follow up viewings!
So I was happy with the sale but was really impressed with the sales progression! The sale had some hiccups and some pushback but this is expected. Lucy was run ragged admittedly in part by my calls ???? but was just so busy being amazing for everyone else she dealt with but always got back to me via phone or email. Lucy never made me feel like I was putting her out. I am relentless and I do keep on top of things to make sure they get done. Lucy often beat me to it. Updates were proactive not reactive. Lucy you are incredible and to be fair analise is a trooper too. Came in when she was poorly so no one was left in the lurch. Ladies you are a credit to Oakhaart.

I used to rate this place 5 star, but having learnt their lead accountant was recently done for drink driving twice. I think it’s one to certainly avoid, i just can’t trust somewhere that hires criminals, I do believe in rehabilitation after convictions are spent, this is not the case here so it’s risky. Accountant also confirmed business runs out of money most months so staff never paid on time, do you risk a property with this place?

Having rented a property and then bought that same property via Oakheart they have been fantastic throughout.
Had a slightly rocky start with the rental side but Charlie the director stepped in very quickly and kindly sorted out all issues for us.
From the purchase side couldn’t have had a better experience. They have what seems to be a unique role of a ‘sales progressor’. We had Lucy who hands down has rapidly driven our purchase forwards for us, been in constant communication and reached out with no prompting or chasing. Oakheart sold my property working weeks of it going onto the market and I was moved into my new house in 3 months.
Charlie, Keiren, Lewis and Annalise were all great and professional at all times. The solicitors Oakheart recommend were also fantastic and really pushed the sale of purchase of my property.

We have just completed on our first home with the help of Oakheart. We can’t recommend them highly enough! They were helpful, friendly and professional throughout the entire process. The house we bought had been listed with another agent, but we felt so at ease and taken care of with them that we ensured to go through them. They don’t hassle you with long speeches trying to sell a million services you dont need either when you first start out, which I really appreciated and they respected when I had said we already had a mortgage advisor (other estate agents were very pushy).
Annalise, Lewis and Josh were who we mainly were in contact with and they were fantastic at liaising between us and the vendors. They kept us updated every step of the way and we really appreciated their progress online dashboard too!

Oakheart have been nothing short of incredible from the outset. After a really horrendous experience with another local agent, I was very sceptical about re-marketing with another agency in the area and had spoken to various businesses in the industry.

What an estate agent!! I have only positive things to say about Oakheart. I switched from Purple Bricks to Oakheart after spending 8 weeks with Purple Bricks and wow what a difference!! They were incredibly professional from the outset and had my property sold within weeks. Just wish i had used them from the start! But once I had agreed a sale that isn't where their work finishes. Annalise was so good and very thorough in their after sales team and literally did all the chasing of both sides solicitors for me! A very impressive service which had be to completion within 2 months.
I was also very impressed with their property file system with allows you to log on to the website and see all the updates of how you sale is progressing on both sides.

Rented with Oakheart for one year and probably the worst decision of my life. - they falsely advertised the property re contents (we had to buy white goods after being promised differently); they refused to repair maintenance issues; they try to charge the tenants for fixing plumbing issues which was down to landlord (in order to preserve their income); they left us with a broken water pump which meant no water access at night for about 5 months. When it came to renewal, we said we will not renew unless the water pump is sorted, on which occasion we were given eviction notice for asking for the repairs. We made complaints to the agency regarding the above, to which the lettings director emailed us to tell us they need to act as a business and protect their income so they will side with the landlord and they don't care about tenants. When it came to the deposit release, our check out report said we left the property in perfect condition, however the agency took over a month to get the deposit back after continuous arguments. These are just a summary of all the issues we've had renting through this estate agent, and it failed to deliver by all means any good service. Not only we ended up being evicted, but because of how poor they are, the landlord did not actually continue renting through them either. They talk a big game, but they only look after their own profits therefore, I would avoid at all cost.

Well… Where do I start?
I had my house on the market for two months with another agency in that time I had over 15 viewings however no offers..
This particular agency pushed me and ultimately didn’t deliver. I have a good friend who works for Oakheart and one day we got talking, admittedly at the time I had never heard of them as they are a relatively new estate agent.
I met with Daryl who I believe is one of Oakheart‘s directors, he came to my house and agreed with the same valuation that the last estate agent had also I then decided to take the leap to also bring on Oakheart.
This was the best decision that I made and I couldn’t be happier to have taken the leap of faith, oakheart booked in over 20 viewings within the first eight days and also received five offers within the first week, comparing that to the other estate agent I was blown away, but just so happy. I believe Charlie was the actual agent who sold my house and he didn’t just accept the first offer he pushed the client as high as he thought they would go on as close to our sale price. Both Daryl and Charlie were informative professional and made both my partner and I feel extremely comfy.
Once the house was sold the stress really does begin and in my case the stress has been never ending (all down to Soliciter’s) this is where having a sales progression team is so important when selecting an estate agent. The sales progression team at Oakheart have honestly been amazing and Annalise has been a god send this past 7 months, she has been incredibly helpful and supportive.
She has constantly gone above and beyond in order to help and support me, I have probably spoken to her more times in the past seven months than my own family… she has constantly put my mind at ease and helped even by chasing parties that she has no connection to in order to get the case done and to exchange.
I cannot thank Annalise, Darell and Charlie enough along with the rest of the team at Oakheart.

After originally selling our house within 24 hrs in Feb 21' the chain above us unfortunately braking, we returned to Oakheart early this year to try again. Sold our house OFF market and OVER the price we were going to list the next day but due to Craig’s unbelievable work ethic of calling every single buyer he has registered with him and actually taking the time to know what his buyers are looking for to find someone that was perfect for our home!!
Unbelievable doesn’t cover it… here’s our review of oakheart start to finish,
We love the idea of a caring agent and loved Oakheart’s marketing, the whole tree planting thing they do, it’s just admirable so we contacted Charlie when they first opened about selling and he came straight out did photos, contract, etc but after only a few days and around 20 viewers which we were very impressed with, we ended up pulling off the market as covid at that time was getting very bad and I was heavily pregnant and a high risk pregnancy meaning I was susceptible to catch things easy. Charlie and his team were nothing but supportive and lovely and thanked us for using them advising they were here any time we needed anything at all. They didn’t push us once which we liked as cannot stand a pushy agent
A year later, we then saw the market has gotten bouyant & our baby was born, thriving and older so we contacted Charlie again and advised him we are ready to market and our broker had our AIP ready. Charlie kindly discussed all with me that evening (out of working hours) asking what I’m looking for to also help with my onwards search. He booked in the professional photographer the next day. He also advised me that same night he was going to speak with his team to go through buyers as they aren’t agents who just leave rightmove to selling .. which we loved. We had heard this statement in the past from other agents but none actually ever came to light or worked as hard as Oakheart’s Craig to find us our buyer. A hour later that evening Craig rings me, hi Kim I have a viewer are they able to come over before we put you on Rightmove. Wow absolute dream. Of course I didn’t say no. The next morning Craig calls me again with several other viewers, we booked all viewers in for a couple of hour slot that day and had a few offers transpire but one in particular who was a great position that worked for us. We then went straight on to rightmove AS SOLD YAY. Oakheart got offer agreed letters drawn up immediately and worked seamlessly to find us a home! We viewed several beautiful homes through them, the viewing agent Verity was wonderful and kind calling us with anything she knew of coming available before it hit the market exactly as they did for our buyers and other interested parties
(So great to see an agent actually work to do this not leave it all to rightmove) Once we found a home and tied the chain up we were introduced to Annalise who progressed our sale smoothly from start to finish! We have now exchanged and are moving shortly! May I just add the timescale is looking at 4 months currently and not only did we sell for higher and quicker than anticipated our sale went through in 5.5 weeks due to constant chases!

Oakheart are by far the best estate agent I have ever dealt with. Our property was tricky to sell, where other agents had failed to sell it within months, Darren at Oakheart took the time to understand the complexities and found us a buyer within a week - twice! Due to several houses falling through our transaction has taken over a year. Oakheart were there every step of the way with help and advice, going above and beyond, they even helped us secure the property we ended up purchasing. I think I must have spoken to nearly every member of staff over our long transaction and everyone was ultra professional, genuine, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Darrell and Kelly helped us massively with securing the property we purchased. And as for Annalise, I can’t praise her highly enough. Wow, where do I start?
From the initial appointment with Kelly through to dealing with Kieran, Craig, Darren and Cormac on the viewings the service has been second to none! The photos were brilliant! It wasn't an easy sale but I was kept upto date with all viewings and all feedback and given advice on what I should try if things hit a stumbling block.
However, the real star of the show is Annalise the "Sale Coordinator" who has been absolutely incredible from the moment I accepted an offer to today when I exchanged on my sale and purchase, she put in so many extra hours and extra emails to all parties to get things moving and always responded to emails within 30mins. We completed on our house sale on Friday and Oakheart have made this journey effortless.I have brought and sold multiple properties over the years and never have I received a service like I have from Oakheart. Our journey started by speaking to Josh from Oakheart who was extremely professional, polite and not pushy like many estates agents I’ve dealt with in the past. We have been on the search for a house for almost a year now. After selling last year, its been frustrating trying to find somewhere often then only to be outbid at the last minute.
Since being introduced to Cormac, he has been a huge hep, and a credit to your business. Cormac has done what we have found most other agents promise, but don’t follow through with.
• He spent time really understanding what exactly we were looking for, taking an interest, and above all remembering our requirements.
• We have had regular updates, even if there have not been suitable options, just so that we know he was still thinking of us.
• We haven’t been blanket marketed with properties that don’t suit making sure we haven’t wasted ours, your, or the vendors time.
• Cormac has also been good enough to think of us first, before a property is formally marketed.
Cormac called regarding the property we now have a purchase agreed on. We were phoned prior to marketing, and within a day, a viewing had been arranged… on a Sunday. When we arrived Cormac was already there, and had arrived early, so everything was ready time view. You wouldn’t believe the number of your competitors that arrive late!
Throughout the viewing Cormac was polite, patient, and professional and above all actually knew about the property he was showing. He had also thought about what we might like to do to improve the property, and made really sensible suggestions. If that wasn’t enough, he then proceeded to send example pictures and videos for the extension we planned later that morning.

2020 we tried to sell our new build house, we went to a local 'well known' agent who simply took basic pictures and uploaded an advert to Rightmove. No surprise the house took 4 months for any viewings to come through and the agent blamed the market. Poor effort.

WOW is the first word that comes to mind. Originally my partner and I were sceptical of using a new estate agents, particularly because this is the first time we’ve moved house.
