Oakmans were very helpful in guiding us throughout our experience despite the market slowing down at the time of our sale. As the agent was not from our area I felt their knowledge and experience of the area was slightly limited. Ryan has been brilliant, completing our valuation and introducing Oakmans. He was friendly and knowledgeable and promoted the agents without being pushy. We felt very listened to for what we wanted from the agents. Jai and Harry were brilliant at organising viewings and keeping in contact. The estate agent did an outstanding job at advertising and getting viewers through the doors. Their photography and dedication to getting the offer to begin with was excellent, however the follow up wasn’t as good with the sales progression team. We felt throughout that they didn't fight our corner in regard to negotiations with buyers after initial offer, which made things slow and lost us money in later negotiations. A very difficult sale and multiple buyers messing us around made this experience very stressful which wasn’t their fault but we feel that their sales progression team lacked the drive and skills that the main team had.... Communication from Oakmans from all concerned has been excellent. We live outside the UK, but Oakmans managed to gain access to the property and show potential buyers around with no fuss. I have found the agents to be highly efficient and their advice to be sensible and practical. We had very different choices put forward by different agents and had to choose between a more conventional approach with Oakmans and the auction route with another agent. Both had their merits but we are pleased that Oakmans has secured a sale quickly, subject to contract of course. Following the acceotance of an offer, Oakmans very quickly produced the memorandum of sale for our Solicitors. So far, so good!... Read more
