We bought our new home through Chapplins in Fareham. The team there worked tirelessly to try and make the whole experience as stress free as possible. A lot of the time they were doing the work of 'Purple Bricks' and 'Premier Property Lawyers' who we were signed up to (I would never recommend either of them!). A massive thank you to all at Chapplins Fareham. I would definitely recommend them and without a doubt will be using them in the future when the time comes.
I Rented from Chapplins from October 2017 to February 2019, and being honest the administration fees are overcharged, the paperwork is unclear unless you read the small print and there's even the cheek to charge of £108 out of your deposit even if you leave at the end of your contract. Not to mention the service falls off a cliff once you pay the admin fee. If your thinking of renting from Chapplins, rent somewhere else.

It is with great shame I'm having to write this review. My wife and I booked a viewing with them and we were told we could arrive early if we wanted to, which we did. The door was open but no one came out, however, could hear someone talking inside and when I shouted through the open front door, a gentleman popped his head around whilst on the phone and indicated he will be a couple of minutes. We waited for 15 minutes and then decided we were not going to wait any longer to view the property out of principle and disrespect which we felt was shown to us. Whilst driving away, which he could see, he ended the call and came out to commence the viewing, which we declined.
What worried me was that the vendors front door was left open and we could hear everything the estate agent was saying on the phone. If I was the vendor, I wouldn't have been too pleased to have my front door open to the world for over 15 minutes. Also, the estate agent didn't have any respect for the privacy of the person on the other end of the phone - this is worrying, especially if they are discussing personal details.
There was no respect or courtesy shown and it is not something people should accept. Granted, the viewing was booked for 2.30, but why phone to say we could turn up early if the estate agent wasn't in a position to show us around?
Customer service training is needed for the gentleman who showed us around and also data protection and protecting client privacy issues need to be addressed.
One of the worst customer service experience from an estate agent I have ever received. It is my belief a great disservice was done to the vendor of this property by the agents instructed to sell on their behalf.
Having used 2 previous letting agencies recently and having unprofessional and poor experiences we entered our journey with Chambers with some trepidation. To date we have been very pleasantly surprised by the brilliant service provided by Chambers. Professional, thorough and so far very attentive. Worst estate agent I've ever dealt with. They offer no help to renters. Went to Leaders and got a house in a day! Use them if you like stress and unhelpful robots that dont actual know anything and tell you to call the reference company to find your answer.
