I have been with this branch for over 5 years. In my view the customer is never put first, they will always blame you or the tenant for any issues. Poor service has meant I took over the account on behalf of my tenant and have done so for years yet still charge me the earth when I am managing the account myself and make it extremely difficult to part ways to the point the ombudsman is now involved. Lots of disturbing emails sent to my tenant, lack of care, poor poor service and not solution orientated at all. Today, 02.08.24 they still continue to mess up payments. If you want an agent who doesn't care, does not take complaints seriously, whom leave you feeling totally and utterly frustrated to the point of crying then choose them. But I have warned you.

They told me they would help me find a two bed place due to being 4-5 months pregnant and they would keep me updated on any places and they haven’t one single bit. I have even contacted them several times about flats that have come up and they just say if something comes up they will let me know but they never do. I struggled finding a place and they haven’t helped me what so ever. They only care on people that first come first serve. Don’t recommend at all.

These people are utterly criminal. my step sister and her partner have been living in a flat with water dripping down the walls, black mould growing everywhere, their clothes, the furniture, their possessions. The response from Leaders has been to blame my step sister and her partner for not leaving the heating on enough. just look at the state of the walls in these pictures. the walls are dripping wet, and water is going down directly to the plug sockets. Absurdly dangerous just in itself and the black mould on top of that... I hope the people responsible for this get EVERYTHING they deserve. preferably a prison cell.
and an edit to clarify some details, the property was kept between 18-20c, windows were used to provide ventilation and a dehumidifier was in constant use too.

I attended a viewing on the 25th February, organised by Emily Brooks, it was all handled and organised well, myself and my boyfriend received a text confirmation and email confirmation. The viewing was descriptive and all the staff were helpful in the end we didn’t get the viewing but I’m still on the mailing list and Emily is still sending me through properties that would be of interest to us which really helps when property searching. She’s been professional, kind and considerate. Couldn’t rate her enough.

Although everyone I've spoken with at Leaders has been very kind and welcoming, I've been dealing with Emily Brooks.
She's made everything as easy to understand as possible for me.
Emily showed me a flat I was interested in and was very patient with letting me look around even though she said she had shown the place to several other people that day so that was very appreciated. It was just a little thing like that which showed she cares about the people who are trying to find their next home.

Bad experience today with leaders unfortunately.
Called about a rental property and was immediately told ‘you can’t afford it’ despite selling my house and having a large sum of money left over in savings. Apparently you need to earn £54k a year to afford £1500 in rent. Doesn’t matter if you have enough savings to pay the rent for the next 15 years though ????
Even offered to pay an entire years rent upfront but was told the landlords insurance wouldn’t cover this.
It’s almost like they don’t want to rent anything to you. Was told if they had anything that becomes available ‘in my budget’ they would call or email me. On rightmove today they have listed other properties but no calls or emails. Very odd
I now have viewings arranged with other estate agents for properties at £1500 who were more than willing to help me and who will recognise when you have £300k sat in the bank.
Not sure why leaders have adopted a system that scrutinises your affordability but doesn’t take savings into account ???????
Probably best to swerve leaders if you can and use one of the more helpful estate agents if possible

Prior to starting our house buying journey with Leaders, we had been part of three other housing chains with three different estate agents. By far, Leaders (our fourth) are superior to others in the area in all aspects. Jessica was our point of contact, and quite frankly, I have not met a more approachable and understanding estate agent. She showed us multiple houses and helped us land the one we wanted. Jessica and the team were always on hand to calm the nerves and were very quick to respond to any queries. I would have no concerns over recommending Leaders fully based on my experience and cannot thank them enough for holding our hand through an incredibly stressful journey.

The member of staff who stands out massively is Eloise who works in the property mainetance sector and she's absolutely amazing. She's always so kind and patient on the phone and exceeds expectations, she makes sure that works gets done as quickly as possibly and what meant the most was that she called me after maintenance completion to check and make sure that the new water heater installation went well and that everything was okay, if that isn't good attention to detail and customer service I don't know what is. If you're looking to rent though leaders, this team is nothing but professional and kind, I recommend them 100%.

I was relocating quickly from the far north of Scotland - speed and patience was required of the team to understand my circumstances (woefully slow broadband and poor signal connectivity up there in the distant Highlands prevented 'normal' access to the firm's automated letting system. Sue runs a really professional outfit here, the whole team are amazing and take the stress out of being a landlord, The letting and the property management are both fab and excellently managed.
I would like to especially mention Louise my property manager, she is nothing short of outstanding. She in the past has sorted out difficult tenants for me, taken abuse on my behalf, and is outstanding at sorting out problems. She is friendly and has the ability to juggle many contractors and issues, at times achieving very tight deadlines. She always keeps me updated and is always willing to give me advice and help, she goes that extra mile. She is a total gem and a credit to not only her branch but Leaders as well.

Very money oriented and do not care about the service they provide to their client, rented a property from leaders and had a very bad experience especially Louise who is very rude and abrupt, she is not helpful at all as she didn't offer any support whenever I spoke with her. I had some many issues with the property I rented from leaders and they were slow to react to these issues especially when I didn't have any gas in the property and when I had a leak in the ensuite. When I moved out I found so many inconsistencies with the inventory checkout compared to the initial inventory report when I moved in, my advice to someone renting from leaders is to double check the inventory report before you move in because they will use that against you when you move out and make sure you take pictures before you move in because I regret that I didn't before I moved in.

Have let my property through Leaders for over a year and have to say that i am disappointed to say the least. I had hoped that with a full maintained service would be stress free. How wrong I was.
On the first of the month I get told about a bathroom leak and get asked if I authorized a contractor to investigate. I replied promptly the same day giving my permission. On the 27th of the month I phone out of curiosity to find out what had happened as I had not heard anything. Imagine my horror that Leaders had done nothing, and then tried to imply it was the contractors fault.
Over the years I have let out various properties with various agents and I understand letting a property is not always easy but Leaders are without doubt the worst. Realizing how poor they are I tried to get out of the contract and got quoted £900

Find the Fareham team very friendly and willing to advise and help where necessary. The service is very good which is why I keep my properties with Leaders. On a constructive note, I do feel the team that manage my properties side with the tenants certainly when they check out and I see annoying things they have done to my property. The adage Wear and Tear, sometimes runs thin, when I feel its mis-use etc. I've had mould issues before which in reality is the tenant not airing/heating the room properly but its my responsibility to clean it up and redecorate. As with all people there are good and bad, and I consider myself a fair and decent landlord, but sometimes feel my team do only see the side of the tenant.
