Excellent Service for First-Time Buyers
As a first-time buyer, I had a fantastic experience with the Reeds Rains team at the Catford branch. My first viewing was with Peter, who was incredibly helpful, offering valuable advice on the properties we visited and skillfully negotiating an offer that secured us the home we loved. It was such a refreshing and positive experience compared to other agencies in the area.
The sale process was expertly supported by Tara, the branch manager. She was consistently supportive, communicated effectively, and—most importantly—was proactive, even when delays arose on the solicitors’ end.

We bought our house through Reeds Rains Catford earlier this year. I would not recommend them to anyone. Being rude and pushy to anyone during this process shouldn't be ok, whether it's the buyer/seller/other estate agents involved or solicitors. The whole experience of buying through Reeds Rains was horrible, from the start to finish. If it wasn't for the fact we wanted the house so much we would have walked away based on our experience with this agency.

I was absolutely blown away by Gentrit Mustafa at Reed Rains. My family had a tough job of moving during the holidays & he was incredibly helpful and amazing. Sorted everything out for us incredibly quickly in what I think might be record time in just 4 days over the holidays. Communication was perfect throughout. I’ve never come across someone so hands on & accessible throughout the whole process of moving.

We were really impressed with the service at Reeds Rains Catford. They were very attentive and highly responsive. They were easy to get hold of and even if our specific contact was busy or not in the office, whoever we spoke to would try to help and if not, someone would be sure to call back on the same day. We want to specifically mention Tara and Maev who supported us when we had particularly difficult and useless solicitors. I think, especially Maev who seemed to make it her personal mission to make sure we got the house- she chased multiple times, contacting anyone she could to get the process moving and she even made herself available when on leave. I bought my first ever flat through Reeds Rains and I'm very pleased with how it went, specific thanks to Eugene and Maev, a great duo. Having viewed properties with multiple estate agents, I can honestly say that Reeds Rains have a much more personal touch than some of their peers and seem to be invested in the actual transactions they handle. As with all purchases there can be complications, however I was pleased with the communication from Eugene and Maev. When one was out, the other would step in and do their best to move the transaction along. Transparency is very key for me and I feel I got them with them. Can't recommend Maev from Reeds enough. She's incredibly communicative, keeping me in the loop at all times, pushing across the whole chain for information, making suggestions to unblock delays and just ultimately getting the sale done.
She was a shining light during the sale process, if it wasn't for her I may have given up.

From booking appointment to completion, the staff of the Catford Branch, particularly Pete and Eugene, were knowledgeable, professional, helpful, friendly, approachable and, in our opinion, went the extra mile to help us through the process. We were selling my Mum's house from many miles away, partly during lockdown. We would use their agency again in a heart beat. However, we would not use the conveyancing company that they recommended to us, as they did not cope well with the many and various difficulties that we encountered along the way.

We had very little understanding of the house buying process and his guidance has really helped. I was involved as a contact in the selling of my elderly sister's home because she didnt understand the process. I cannot praise enough the staff at Reeds Rains. They went far and above their contractual obligations to help my sister move smoothly .
Eugene and John visited her regularly and made many phone calls and filled out forms that she didnt understand. Many things that her solicitor should have done. They copied documents for her and kept in touch with me at every step of the way so i could then relay the information to my sister.
I would not hesitate in using Reeds Rains in selling my home if the need arose. They are a credit to their company and their profession.

My wife and I were in urgent need of a house in the Catford area... because we were about to give birth to our 3rd daughter/ princess. Eugene Grant-Evans and his team at Reeds Rains Catford were amazingly helpful and excellent at their jobs, and always so happy and cheerful, as they shepherded us through the house buying process from viewings to final pick up of keys. Thanks so much Eugene. You rocked! We are so happy with our purchase and your blessed work was a big part of that.

Reeds Rains (Catford) were absolutely amazing throughout our transaction. We sold through Reeds Rains. The whole experience was refreshingly better than anything we have experienced in London with property agents.
If we ever buy/sell again I will not consider anyone but Reeds Rains.

I have used Jon, Pete & Eugene previously and can’t recommend these guys enough. They understood my requirements and found me something suitable in a week. The whole process was done in 5 weeks and in time for Christmas.

We've used them twice and everyone is really helpful and deals with our queries promptly. Particularly Rachel Briggs, as she is really patient and always responds to our queries quickly and is happy to explain things in different ways so that we understand. She gives really good customer service.

Not a single good word to say about this company. From searching social media i glad to see I'm not alone. Incompetence at every level. To cut a long story short, i had unpaid tenants (squatters) in an overcrowded flat share. Before moving into the property, i was assured i would be living with two professional adults. This was not the case. Instead, i was living with three other adults, one of which was unemployed and so was home all day with a baby that kept me up all night as well as causing overcrowding in the communal areas. Although aware of the situation from the very beginning Reeds Rains allowed this to continue over six months. All i wanted to do was leave my contract and cut all ties with this company but they would not let me leave without paying a hefty fee. The number of sleepless nights i have suffered is nothing when compared to helplessness i felt and inaction of their staff. The situation came to a head after being threatened at knifepoint in my kitchen for refusing to give the other occupants money, forcing me to leave with a police escort for my safety. Even after the incident Reeds Rains declined to give me back my month's rent or my deposit for a lengthy period leaving me to rely on the kindness of friends to sleep on their sofas until i could save up a deposit for a new flat. I only received my deposit back after my company threatened legal action.
If you are a first-time renter do not be fooled, they are not on your side. Moving to London was a life ambition of mine and their incompetence destroyed this joyous time.
