Personal for Branch Manager at Savills Residential Property Centre, Newbury (20 Feb to 8 Aug 25).
From initial bold pricing of my house, through strong marketing, excellent owner support at every stage - including helping clear 35yrs of household surplus and overloaded garage tools and electric equipment - by knowing quality people for the task - she was a generous helper.
In addition, negotiation and discussion with the Sellers 'professionals' needed accelerating (from 'slow march') at times, and the appropriate momentum was adequately maintained even when the Manager herself was on holiday in Norfolk, before Exchange.
With minor legal documents missing again within a month of (already delayed) Completion, she encouraged the selling agent to 'make hay while the sun shone' - and avoid delaying further, or lose the Sale.
Through her deft handling and firm control of the selling/buying process, she frequently kept me in touch when my solicitor was missing on priority office work, or personal leave.
Finally, her honesty and directness was refreshing to find in a younger businesswoman, and the office atmosphere in Newbury was well-organised and pleasant. She also
facilitated my house-cleaning and moving support - to NE Oxfordshire - so have nothing but praise for the Newbury Savills' Office team, who ensured that the domestic move of a 79 year-old was completed as well as possible - in the circumstances. In the first instance it was Victoria's enthusiasm for the house and garden and her close knowledge of local schools which won us over. We started the sale of our Cottage in the thick of Brexit and throughout the Covid Pandemic.
At every stage Savills provided a first class service generating numerous viewings and a Sale that unfortunately fell through because the purchaser was unable to sell their house.
Savills picked up the baton again and with their enthusiastic approach generated more viewings resulting in the Sale of the Cottage.
The conveyancing companies further down the chain were incompetent to say the least and only at the 11th hour able to beat the Stamp duty relief deadline.
We found the Savills Team at Newbury from the top to the bottom to be friendly, helpful and very proficient.
In particular we want to thank Cameron Power (Savills Negotiator) who steered us through some very choppy water in completing the Sale. He chased up relentlessly all the parties invoived and kept them focused on the issues.
Cameron kept us informed throughout and we could not have been better served.
Also Harry Fisher who looked after us in the early days was every bit as good and helpful.

Wayne and I dealt with Cameron who took over the selling our the property that we have brought. I have to say that it was a massive relief to deal with Cameron because when I initially telephoned Savills to arrange a viewing I found the lady who was dealing with the property at that time was extremely rude, unprofessional and made me feel like I wasn’t good enough to buy a property from her! I felt uncomfortable that I would have to meet her at the house but when we got there and Cameron was there I felt I could relax. Cameron was so accommodating on many levels and goes out of his normal working hours to assist. He met us at the house for a 2nd time on a Saturday, he never rushed us and it was clear he was always on hand to help. He answered every call in a timely manner and bent over backwards to assist us. I am grateful that Cameron was our point of reference and I cannot thank him enough. Thanks so much Cameron, you are an asset to Savills and your colleagues would do well to learn from you even if they have been in the industry for a longer time.

We were very impressed with the service provided by the team at Savills in Newbury. They sent a number of people to view our property and found us a buyer very quickly. Even more impressive, after our initial chain fell apart, they found us another buyer within days and we proceeded to completion very rapidly and smoothly.
