Firstly I met with Victoria which established the most enjoyable experience I have ever had with your line of business. She was smart, experienced and knew the market and challenges. It was very comforting and then to be followed up by Sue, James and the selling Ladies , one of whom out of the three I thought a little dippy, but having said that she was probably the one who showed the new buyers around!
Very quickly there were people through the door and many of them! Yes, my house is in a great location and reasonably laid out but “Rightmove” is not the only vehicle that sells houses!
It’s a true credit to Savills and Victoria who lead the charge, and made this trip enjoyable.

Earlier this year we visited Stamford and in the course of a weekend, decided to upturn our London lives and buy a Grade 2 listed cottage. Over a period of weeks, we were introduced to multiple members of the Savills team, who led by Victoria, sourced surveyors, chased down architects, and responded to queries about everything from parking permits to recycling. Although working on behalf of the vendor, the team went out of its way to provide support and valuable advice, right down to the Saturday morning receptionist. There were inevitable challenges, but every situation met with professional calm and good humour.

The whole team at Savills Stamford were excellent. Victoria Short in particular went out of her way to support not only us (the buyer) but also our buyers. Victoria communicated regularly with our solicitor and our estate agents, both of which were particularly slow at responding and rude. Victoria was worth her weight in gold and our whole moving experience would have been substantially more difficult and stressful without her contribution. Our next move (not for at least another 40 years) will involve Savills and hopefully Victoria. The welcome package on completion is also a lovely gesture.

Our experience of James Eastaway and Savills in Stamford is at variance with other reviews. In our recent dealings with James Eastaway we felt he was not only deceitful and unprofessional but also professionally negligent. After unsuccessfully trying to sell our house with another estate agent who did not do due diligence on our supposedly cash buyer and wasted 6 months and in the process losing 3 other buyers for our property it was a very pleasant and delightful experience to deal with Savills estate agent of Stamford.

We asked Savill's to value our home and were told that James Abbott would meet us at our home, this he did. Five days after the visit we phoned to ask why we had heard nothing. He told us he was very busy and said it would be another 3 days before he would be able to send us a report. Twelve days after his initial visit we still have nothing.
