They were fine but when we requested to please vet potential buyers a bit more as we had some feedback regarding the house which was obvious from images and floor plan, they dismissed this saying it would put buyers off but with so many viewings and no real interest we feel this should have been done more as it felt a waste of time.
Also they did say they would organise an open house to generate more local interest, which never happened. Communication was somewhat poor too between members of staff, they kept calling us when we were away despite us telling 3 people we would be away and not contactable.

Highly recommend Shipways: Great experience with first property in midlands, easing in and preparing the landlord and additionally having a robust process in place to protect both landlord and tenant and make the experience as easy and transparent as possible.
Great service would highly recommend and advise the offer additional services/policies which make the interest of both parties in lettings easy to resolve. You’ll feel safe with them managing your letting. Elton was the first person met, first impressions going he’ll put you at ease with the simplicity of process and explaining each stage. Ellie was met at the office when keys handed over, like others there also the professionalism is really visible. If you’ve ever had a nightmare managing agent these guys can introduce you to not just what good looks like, but what excellence in delivery is and you can sleep easy when they are involved. Every member of staff when you visit the office any time will only demonstrate professionalism, good work ethics and if you observe them you will see for yourself your in a reputable establishment who understand what property/homes mean to potential landlords and tenants.

Myself and my husband were looking to move and we found a house we liked that was advertised by Shipways Dudley, we got in contact and spoke with Hollie who was very helpful and kind, she set up a viewing and made the process super easy. We were kept informed every step of the way and nothing was too much trouble for her. We loved the house and put an offer in, Hollie again guided us through the process and then it came to selling our house. There was no question who we wanted.
We asked Shipways to value our house and booked a mortgage appointment with them, so everything was under one roof!
Carly came to value our house and was a breathe of fresh air, she was super positive and made it feel really easy, giving us great advice of the next steps and how to get the most out of our house for viewings.
We then met with Andrew for our mortgage appointment and he was personable, honest and helpful, even staying late to help us look through options. The whole team have kept in touch with us, answered all our questions and made us feel valued (even when they didn't have to!) Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the whole team to anyone looking to buy or sell.

I'm not one to write reviews and by looking at the comments and Shipways don't need any more praises. However, I do feel the need to mention the wonderful agent **Holly.McMaster** who has been nothing short of magnificent :).
We recently went to view a house and I couldn't have asked for a better professional to be there showing us around. Holly guided us around the house, going into detail room by room. Not only did she explain the property defects but she went the extra mile and gave an outline on the properties potential. We felt safe in her hands which is what you want in an agent when you are about to fork out huge sums of money.
All around a great service with Holly, love her energy and enthusiasm, no doubt she has a huge future ahead of her.

Absolutely amazing! From start to finish cannot fault both of the Hollie's and Carly.
They was pleasant all throughout the process and communication was on point whether it was via emails, phone calls or face to face.
Absolutely amazing team work!! I would highly recommend using Shipways as these girls was empathic and supportive throughout. My whole experience was stress free and these girls can 100% be trusted to get you the best price, as the previous estate agents i had wouldnt pass messages or offers on to myself.
I explained to the team what had happened and the girls put all the provision ready in place for when my house went live and had organised a open day on my property, with buyers already lined up to view.
Had offers made straightway after people viewed the property but I asked for the following Saturday to have another open days.
They sold my house the same week! Would have been the same day if I hadn't requested to have a extended week. I got £20,000 over the asking price as the previous estate agents under priced it.
I really cannot thank the girls at Shipways enough!!!
I will definitely be recommending them to my friends and family in the future as they didn't disappoint.
If I could give them more then 5 stars I would!????

Please avoid at all costs very disappointed with this agent offered on a house which was told by the vendor and agent there was NO UPWARD CHAIN and vendors had another property which they had on rent OFFER was accepted went though all the process Morgage was approved a month down the line was ready to complete a day before completion vendors came up with an excuse that they had got coronavirus which fair enough we did not mind unluckily we was suppose to exchange contracts on the day of completion. asked for another completion date to which we were told by there solicitor that they would let us know then was told the vendor did not have anywhere else to go as they did not expect it to all happen so quick so then waited to which we was told we was now in a chain as the vendor was purchasing another house waited 6 months and long story short vendor pulled out of both properties. called Craig tonkley the manager he was very surprised the vendor had pulled out and didn’t know what was going on after a few phone calls he explained to me he could not get in contact with the vendor and said he would pop around to the house the next day in the morning to which he did and phoned me while he was outside the door and explained that it looked like no one was living in the house and he had no contact with the vendor as no one was answering the door or his phone calls but there were 2 cars parked on the drive and now 6 months later down the line whole year from the time I offered on the house it has been put back on the market 50 thousand more than what I had done the deal on it with the same agent shipways total times wasters I mean why would you put a house back up for sale when the vendors went total could Turkey on you makes you look BAD lost me my solicitors and morgage fees but luckily for me I found a better house and brilliant vendors and agent through Billingham & co much better service

The worst agent I have had the displeasure of being in business with, would give 0 if I could, Unorganised, don’t answer phone calls, and property management is a shambles, they don’t fix the issues and blame covid for mismanagement. Remove works orders without checking with the tenants to see if issue is resolved. They completely ruined a brand new £40k renovated property due to negligence, mismanagement and stupidity, only know how to take money, and then take three months to address complaints with £250 offer. An absolute joke. A problem that was reported multiple times by the tenant, that could have been a fixed for a few hundred has cost me £3k to fix. Do not use shipways if you want to keep your property in order. Once they have your business they don’t care! They just want your money!

When the application was made for the property they couldn't do enough for us. However the guy I was dealing with kept pushing me to leave a review on the service I then reviewed and just like that the service went downhill. I had to keep ringing to see if the landlord has given the keys for the property for us to move in. I was then promised some garage keys I kept ringing and they kept saying they would ring me as soon as the keys arrived at the office. A month then passed and I had to ring once again for the keys only for them to tell me they had been their for 3 weeks and of course I had to phone call. Once in the property their are so many things that news sorting which were part of the inventory I have been chasing and chasing for these to be sorted only to be told each time their waiting for a response of the landlord. I would advice people to stay away and use other estate agencies instead, it seems all they are after is their bonus after each letting/sale

We have been asking for the tenancy agreement with the landlord’s signature (handwritten signature) for over 4 months. Every time we call or go to the office, The staff keeps saying they will contact the landlord or renew team to send us that one. Although we have spoken to the land lady. She has signed and posted to Shipways for 2 months. Shipways is messing up with us. They months to sort out things and nothing is done yet.

As a prospective buyer I made an offer on a property above the asking price and was asked to submit my mortgage offer in principle on Friday before my offer could be accepted. I was told to expect an email with the details of how to do this. I received no email. I called on Monday and was told the person concerned was busy but was given an email address. Not being happy to submit my personal information before having confirmation that my offer had been accepted or was still being considered, I called back an hour later to be told the property had already been sold. Very bad customer service from a buyers point of view.

Currently let my property through the Dudley office but having now decided to sell.
Been dealing with a gentleman called Tom who I've found to be a professional, courteous in all that he has done for me. He keeps me informed at all times in how many viewings there has been and has given feedback from the potential buyers.
Could not recommend him enough.
I have also decided to use there conveyancing service as well. Early days but.......when your quoted a price, then 2 weeks later another more expensive quote, my alarm bells start ringing. Lets see how it transpires?
Will also say that in the 2 years+ of letting my property through Shipways, no real dramas as the tenants contact me direct as and when a problem has arisen.

Awful service and very unprofessional I have called this company plenty of times in hope to buy a home that they listed, I called more than 7+ times only to hear I’ll get a call back and took my details...yet no one contacted me back neither replied to emails. Called for one last time only to hear that the property had sold when I had been calling from day one to book viewing as soon as they were available!!

Shop looks nice but filled with incompetent staff !

Place i give 5 star caravan is lucky to get 1 star, i mean its lovely and clean but there no heating in the van just a gas fire. We are at a 60s event and theres 6 of us, 4 over 60 and we were sleeping in a freezer last night, the wardrobes were all wet with condentation this morning, i mean running down the walls. i cant tell where i ache the most. And when we went to ask for some heaters or something we are told we got to pay £50 for upgrade, well they got us by the balls aint they so got to swop to another caravan. Not happy.

Great company & there is not a lot i can fault as if there are any issues its with the Landlord not the company.
Katie and Megan especially were great! I had more dealings with Katie but Megan is also so polite, you request a call back & you actually get one unlike other company's!
I would not have an issue using these again in the future!!

I was contacted by shipways in regards to selling my property I was informed that they had loads of people waiting to buy on our estate and would be a easy sell....four weeks later nearly no viewings and several time wasters including agents turning up late to viewings they got in contact with me saying I need to reduce by 10k as they couldnt get anybody through the door please be careful they promise the earth and deliver very little beware!!!

Booked two viewings, the first viewing i booked i got told somebody would be on there way as they we're running late, nobody showed up. I went in to the estate agent's to make a second booking explained the problems i had with the first viewing as a no show. At the second time i booked i wasn't in their diary (supposedly)and was left waiting outside even though I had two text reminders. Can't even do the basics of customer service.

Absolutely shocking booked in to view a house today 6.7.2019 at 13.00 rang up to ask what the crack is the bloke said he will ring me back in a mojo waited outside the house for 30 mins and still no call back 3 and alf hours later arranged someone to look after my kids and everything and you want me to sell my house through you guys haha must b joking unprofessional from the beginning so can imagine what the whole process would be like do not use !!! Wouldn't even bother giving a one star if I could. They mislead customers, manager Kate lost her manners and should be fired or needs retraining on how to provide a decent level of customer service.
She also allows her staff that are not trained to go out and mislead customers more so they can collect money for a property you most likely wont get.
To issue a refund is a major problem with shitways, wont give you all your money back and then you may end up having to chase them down every few days to be told it's been processed or someone will give you a call back. Which they cant even be bothered to do that. Its been two weeks now, I'm still waiting on receiving my money. Worse company I have ever come across. Avoid at all cost

Kept in regular contact, keen to understand my exact requirements. On ringing the office on one occasion Megan was unavailable. I overheard a colleague say is that for Megan? - where they immediately rang her on another phone line to check on an estimate of when she’d return my call (being out of the office). I have to say that if you really have to, go ahead with shipways. Otherwise, I'd defo choose another company.
Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful (well, at least at the beginning) but that's it. Nothing more. The guy who came with us for seeing houses is really helpful. Except him, everytime (but literally every time) when I called them to track down the process, I was getting: "we'll call you back". Of course no calls at all. Really dissapointed. Our luck was that we new how to push everyone, so we got it sorted in 3 months (lucky us!).

I can not rate this estate agents highly enough. My property was sold within the price range I expected within 2 weeks. A friendly, efficient and professional service. They made moving house seem to easy and stress free. It’s tempting to go cheap and use alternative online services to sell your house, but you get what you pay for.

I wanted to rent a property but the only thing that stopped me was how expensive they are. They was asking for over £500 for fee for both me and my partner which is ridiculous. Most places only charge £250 fee for both adults. If it wasn't for the expensive fee that landlord would of had a tenancy. They also didn't look professional, the guy who was there for Shipways was dressed in a trampy suit and it didn't look like he made an effort. Landlord his self was showing us around the house and Shipways just stood there.
Not only that one landlord said he is thinking of going private as a lot of people are complaining about how much the fee are from Shipways. We did ask why you charging so much and there reply was " Because we are a big company" doesn't give you an excuse of charging so much. A lot of landlord have there property empty for a very long time because of these guys.
