The property unexpectedly came back onto the market overnight, we had am alert from rightmove and called the estate agent first thing on the Friday morning. The estate agent's first available appointment was Wednesday the following week. We made the appointment and it was confirmed to us that we were the first callers and that was the first available appointment. If another appointment became available earlier, the estate agent would call us. On the Monday we were called by the Estate Agent and told that it had sold as they took somebody else to view it on the Saturday.

All the staff at Simon Blyth Penistone office worked so hard to sell a house for us, it was quite unbelievable. As soon as the house went on the market it was as though we had our own agent, constant phone calls, e-mails etc with bookings and updates. The staff filtered the appointments to our requirements, we did the viewings just short of 20 one weekend and the team did the rest. I've decided to upgrade my original rating after the agent called us half an hour after I posted it.
The agent only managed to arrange three viewings (not counting two no shows) in more than eleven weeks, before we gave up and accepted a low offer, even though we listed the house at the price originally recommended by the agent, and dropped it £25K in week seven. At this time, other houses were being sold before even being listed, because the stamp duty window was due to close. Our third viewer (week nine) said she had to be persistent to get a viewing, because the agent told her we were about to accept an offer, when we weren't.

In recently selling our house we used Simon Blyth Estate Agents and am I glad we did. We took their advice and priced it a lot higher then advised by others and to our surprise (not Simon Blyths) within the month we accepted 2K less, whooo!!
We were also very lucky in having Becky Hampshire handle the sale and she was awesome. She kept the whole thing on track working very closely with our solicitor to keep it moving and everyone on the same page. She is full of spot on advice and pearls of wisdom as well as being an excellent judge of character and knowing how most people think.
This is the third house move we have done and I have never met someone so determined to do an outstanding job and genuinely care about her clients and the out come. Will defiantly be calling on her in the future.

Simon Blyth estate agents was recommended to me by a number of people, I can honestly say in my opinion they are the best in the business. We felt very happy leaving our house sale in the capable hands of Becky Hampshire, as we moved quite quickly to our new home in Cornwall.
Becky looked after everything, which was fantastic as it could have been very stressful. She kept us updated at all times regarding viewings, offers & how the sale was progressing. Until Maria joined the team at penistone I was in the process of changing estate agents. Maria found a buyer for me and kept me informed throughout the whole process. The sale wasn't trouble free due to the length of the chain, however Maria worked tirelessly to make things happen. she was also very helpful with my purchase even though she wasn't acting on the seller's behalf, the estate agents of where i was purchasing were quite demanding. Because the sale of my property wasn't straightforward , which from my experience is quite normal I was glad that I had Maria ironing out the problems.
