They were professional and honest from the start, giving us a fair view of a valuation and price-point and reviewing the price regularly when the property was taking a while to get traction. They continually reviewed our marketing strategy and helped us to make tough decisions when we faced challenges such as re-marketing due to our buyer being stuck in a chain.
Whilst our property took a long time to sell and the process was quite frustrating at times, we couldn't be more thankful for the service from David, Ian and Edwina and we got there in the end! Thank you so much all of you!!!

Strutt and Parker supported us through the entire process of sale very effectively, including through the stress of last minute completion of sale. Ian and David were always professional, great at explaining things, and arranged suitable visits and helped us achieve a reasonable sale agreement fairly soon. The advertisement material was good and the pictures and 3D presentation were superb! The photo of the old house, given to us as a housewarming gift, was a lovely touch. I was worried when I realised that they do not advertise on ESPC but in the end it did not seem to matter.

“I cannot recommend Strutt & Parker highly enough. David and Ian were just amazing.
I was downsizing and very nervous, having only minimal knowledge of what it all entailed. They completely took the stress of selling my property out of my hands and it wasn’t long till they had an offer with no chain. But there were other options on the cards, such as offers which had conditions of property to sell before they could buy but I listened to their advice carefully and followed it. It was spot on and we had a successful sale!
David and Ian are both very professional and knowledgeable but more important to me they are very patient and very kind humans.”
I would also like to add to this and reiterate everything my mum has said. Me and my sister live in Australia so trying to support mum with selling her place was always going to be a challenge, but David and Ian made it so much easier. We were also a bit nervous about how it was all going to work out and had a lot of questions but David took the time to have a long video call with us (even working around the time difference) and answered all our questions, hugely alleviating our concerns. We could tell they understood what our mum needed from the get go and made sure she felt heard, informed and supported throughout the process.

He was also realistic which we found most reassuring.

Dealt with Douglas Orr on the sale of our land near Aberdeen.
He was so helpful and kept us on the straight and narrow at all times.
Nothing was too much trouble and if we emailed him he always responded.
We were delighted with the speed with which he achieved a sale for us and how efficiently he did processed it.
When there was a wee hiccup in proceedings (not Douglas's fault) he let us know promptly and sorted it without any drama.
If anyone I knew as selling farmland then I would not hesitate to recommend Douglas at Strutt and Parker.

We found Strutt & Parker thoroughly professional, knowledgable of the local market (and friendly!) when putting our property on the market in Edinburgh.
The area specialist, David, talked us through the process and helped us understand the various steps, making everything extremely straightforward.
The approach is definitely a bit more personal than many other agents and that meant a lot to us given that a property transaction is not something we do often and is obviously a significant step for most.
