If i could give zero stars i would, shocking service from a so called reputable company, charged me £2300 to sell my house and basically put it on Rightmove and that was it, even the photos were bad, zero communication, even on completion day! I also had to show people around my house myself!! Bet i wouldn't have had this service if my house was being sold for say 500k, stay away and save your money

I always worried about if I could get a mortgage because of my job. Hanna was an amazing broker and found me a good mortgage deal swiftly. The speed at which she was able to submit my mortgage application was fantastic. She chased up solicitors, estate agents for me. Being able to deal with a broker face to face was also a big plus for me. Overall, super helpful, efficient, reassuring and I think they genuinely care. Can't recommend hanna highly enough.

Have been trying to rent a property from this agent for 3 weeks. When we viewed the property it was obvious the pictures used in the ad were from before the previous had lived there and decorated it. Upon viewing we made an offer and disclosed I had an IVA and they said it shouldn't be an issue but said we'd potentially have to front a lot of money or get a guarantor. 3 weeks and much chasing later we still have no idea if we have been accepted and or if the property is even available still. Makes me wonder how things would be if there was an issue in the property and needed to contact them

Can honestly say selling my house with William H Brown felt so easy.
They say moving home is one of the most stressful times, well Amanda and Morgan made it feel so easy.
From Amanda coming out to value my home and her amazing support through out, Maisy in regular contact regarding the brochure making sure it was perfect for us and all the tweeks she made nothing was too much bother!
Morgan supporting through out all the negotiations.
The only issues we had were with the solicitors dragging their heels at times and without fail any issues we did have with them Amanda was straight on the phone to them sorting it out without hesitation.
From start to finish selling our home with these guys was amazing!

I can’t speak highly enough about the whole team at William H Brown in Wibsey who were extremely supportive helping me sell my late mother’s property.

It was a bit difficult as my age played a factor to secure funds elsewhere but upon contacting Hannah it was the best thing to do! Hannah Got me a deal which was suited to me.

Used WHB for the sale of my property, which all went very smoothly. Also had a great experience with my mortgage advisor, Hanna, who I used to by my next property. Even when interest rates went down, she adjusted it accordingly and when ended up with a cheaper rate, while waiting for the sale to go through. She was very responsive, reliable and make the whole mortgage process very easy.

I was struggling to find the perfect estate agents/ person to manage my property. My rental property situation was messy due to previous tenant with a different sub-par agency (didn’t pay rent for 5 months and destroyed my property).
Many estate agents that manage property were offering a cheaper fee. William H Brown are slightly more expensive but offer a premium service (you pay for quality)
The real reason we chose William H Brown is because of the Rental Manger Antoniya (legend). She came and made the process so easy.
* Gave me advice on how to deal with this tenant and finally legally evicted tenant, thanks to advice.
*Actually got stuck in and helped move boxes and furniture.
* Advised on how to get more property rental income, with subtle home improvements. I went from £700 to £1050 pcm.
*I have her personal number on call.
* Found a person for my property within a week with a rental income which was more than expected (got me 6k in advance for rent.!!)
* Helped me with forms and understanding the tenancy agreement.
If Antoniya left William H Brown, and went to another company. I would change the estate agency to manage my property, to whatever company she is with.

We recently completed a house move where both the sale of our previous property and the purchase of current property were dealt with by the Wibsey branch of William H. Brown.
Although the costs weren't the cheapest compared to some other agents, their quality in service was of a different class from the start and it proved to be a wise move spending a bit more to get a lot more.
Amanda was the most Covid-concious of all the estate agents who came to view and appraise the property we were selling. She gave a realistic value for the house which we achieved, but was also very helpful in her suggestions for the property in order to help it sell.
From then on, our main point of contact was Liam who dealt with all our enquiries in a very professional manner, was tenacious in following up enquiries and made an excellent point of contact between ourselves and the other parties in the chain.
From our experience, we highly recommend them as a team, as they provide an excellent service, insightful help and great value for money.

Rentals dept from a landlord's perspective. I mistakenly moved from.Robert Watts. Initial impressions were that they were professional. I had a tenant move in after a few weeks but that's when the issues stated. William Brown passed on my contact details to the tenant, despite being fully managed (breach of data), this was also repeated by ACS Leeds, who forwarded me a rental statement for another landlord and his property in Cambridge giving me his residential and rental property details. You deal with ACS Leeds, who manage the property, who charge exorbitant fees for tax certs, managed fees (automatically putting them up after 6 months because they provide such good service). They will also insist on fixed term contracts 6/12 months rather than letting it drop to a standard periodic with the tenants agreement so they can rake in £150 from both the tenant and landlord. They will also charge you £54 every year for deposit administration. The only reason i have to stay with them is for my tenant, who is superb otherwise pay another exorbitant fee to exit the contract. I deal with 25 agents around the UK and NOONE charges as these do and i would urge anyone to avoid this outfit. William Brown use ACS and Connells.
It has now come to June 2020. Again for the reference of landlords and tenants. I have agreed to drop to a standard periodic from a fixed term contract (due to the extortionate admin fees charged) and been hit with a £75+vat admin fee....A fixed term contract becomes a standard periodic automatically after the agreed term! Be aware and as I've stated above, I deal with over 25 agents in the UK and William Brown are the only ones with this fee structure so AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I had the unfortunate event of having to get my property repossessed, which was given back to me in a trashed condition, as I live over 200 miles away I envisaged numerous trips to Bradford to get it sorted out, that was until I asked Nicola Blackburn and her team for help.
Nothing was too much trouble, she effectively project managed the whole affair until it was at
a decent letable standard, at each juncture ensuring I was happy with the quotes etc provided, indeed she went above and beyond her role by ensuring I got the best quotes available and not just the easiest to her.
All the above was whilst the property was not under contract with them and I could have walked away anytime, however with such professionalism shown this would have been a bad decision.
In short if you are thinking of letting your property you should look no further than Nicola and her team, they will ensure you get a professional service and ensure you get the best value for your money too.

I can not begin to describe just how professional and talented the staff of this branch of William H Brown are.
Amanda is a first-rate Estate Agent, it felt like I had known her my whole life, our house sold in 10 days and completed 6 weeks later, she blew us away with how attentive she was and how as a professional handled every query we had.
Liam did a fine job of keeping communications with us and again was always there if we needed anything.
I can't thank you enough for all your hard work, your area manager should be very proud of the team he has.

Disgraceful experience! Very cryptic, greedy and extremely unprofessional!
They have got 1 because 0 isn't possible. My impression of Anne Marie is that she is extremely unprofessional. We were dealing with a repossessed property so of course people will bid and you will bid etc but anyway my offer was accepted last week and we were told that we would get a call back if there was a higher bid. Guess what?? My Mrs rings them to inform them that we have changed solicitors and then they tell us that there are not one but now several higher offers than ours. What?? And when were you going to tell us?? Dreadful!!
I called again today to withdraw my offer and told Amanda that I was going to write something on Google and that i wasn't impressed with the service, and it seemed like she tried making it out that because someone bids higher than the potential buyer like myself then we write a bad comment. Unbelievable and Amanda is apparently the manager of this place! I explained "No Amanda! My offer was accepted last Thursday and I wanted to speak to you the day before when you was holiday/ training. I wanted to tell you then how bad the experience was but I gave it one last shot!" Now the greedy beggars wanted us to make another "highest offer", I thought that was last week wasn't it??!
Utter shambles! Extremely crytic! One minute they say it is "cash only" (not that I wanted a mortgage, mine was cash) then were keeping quiet what type of offer it was and how much the offer was for.
Honestly I probably could have increased my offer by another say £9,000 but I have no confidence in these guys anymore. I hope I don't bump into these guys again in my search for a house.
Honestly guys, be aware, I am not saying don't use them, that's upto you, but be VERY cautious, especially with repossessed properties and these guys - the communication was very poor. Don't be fooled by Anne Marie or anyone else.
Liam seemed cool though.
Amanda please re-read these reviews, if all of the bad reviews have got to do with repossessed properties then why is the one a few reviews down, the one that's given you 3 stars, talking about LETTING and your care dropping once you got what you wanted?? Delusional!!

Absolutely horrible experience with them they are rude, unprofessional and have extremely poor communication. We put in a offer on a property that we absolutely loved they knew we had a property of our own to sell and because things wasn't moving fast enough for them they started up viewings and gave the contract to someone else with out informing us. I only found out the property had gone to some one else through a property search engine. When I challenged the sales negotiator and branch manager about this they were rude and could not give me a viable answer and kept blaming myself and my husband. If it is not going their way they are unhelpful and unpleasant! They are also dishonest! Would not recommend and would avoid like the plaque!

Completely unprofessional, took a booking for a viewing, didn't confirm with me prior to the time. I rang when no one showed up told booking was now for a different time. Arguing over the phone, no attempt to resolve the issue just pointing the blame around. Very poor from William H brown

I have been calling William H Brown for days and still haven’t managed to book a viewing! I don’t know what’s worse.. Liam’s incompetence to keep me updated on booking this viewing or the fact when I do talk to him he doesn’t seem to want to help me at all! Won’t be calling again. AVOID.

Absolutely horrendous experience. We had a valuation of our property by WH Brown. We then went to view one of their properties which was extremely damp. We asked if the newly renovated kitchen had been damp proofed and the agent said he didn’t know. The place stank of damp so it obviously hadn’t. For this reason we decided to use another estate agent. You’d think that would be the end of it but no. I had a two week grace period where I could pull out of my contract to sell our house, with our agent, and sell with someone else. AFTER this period a chap from WH Brown tang me to ask why I’d gone with another agent. Absolutely none of their business. They tried to talk down the agent I’m with and were very patronising. 2 hours later another phone call, can they have my details to send me properties I may be interested in. A week later ANOTHER phone call, again, patronising and condescending, asking why I’d used a different agent. I asked them to leave me alone. Then a phone call from the agent who did the viewing on the other property. He laughed at me down the phone for not using them, lied to me by telling me that home buyers only look at Righmove online (I am a home buyer and I look at 3 websites so that’s a complete lie.) he asked to speak to my husband, who was at work, he carried on and at this point I was shouting. I put the phone down. A week later an email from the manager, Amanda, came through. This was exactly the same thing, can we put your house up for sale etc etc. This was on the 25th May, the day the GDPR regulations came into force, so I again stated I was in a contract so can’t sell with anyone else, I don’t want to sell with anyone else, and gave her written instructions to remove my details off the system. They clearly haven’t read the GDPR guidelines as today, Amanda had sent a letter stating exactly the same thing again. I’ve had to seek advice from the Property Ombudsman, who were extremely helpful and understanding and have advised me on what to do next.
DO NOT USE WH BROWN, they are aggressive and patronising,, they will talk to you like you’re an idiot and are deluded into thinking this acceptable behaviour. The two other estate agents I turned down have not done this

I sold my property with William H Brown last month. Amanda dealt with the sale of our property and she was amazing. The process was drawn out due to the buyer and Amanda and our solicitor were amazing. They kept weekly contact, chased everything up that needed doing. We used the William H brown solicitors as well and they were well worth the money, everything was sent through quickly, we had email and phone contact whenever we needed it. It was put up for sale and with their info of people wanting properties in the area we had multiple viewings in the first week and agreed a sale within the first couple of weeks. I thoroughly recommend them for selling properties.

AVOID. I was recommended by a family member on a property. Wibsey staff Accepted an offer on property and then backed out. They want over night sales so they can have quiker commission. Rude staff not bothered about clients only wanting their own commision. Complaint sent to head office still no reply back. Avoid and stay away.
