I cannot praise the customer service delivered by Liz highly enough - from start to finish of the buying process she was calm, patient and kept me informed throughout. If it wasn’t for Emily constantly going above and beyond I don’t think the purchase of our house would have happened due to unforeseen problems further up in the chain. Although this wasn’t Willian H Brown’s issue, they dealt with this every single day until it was sorted to ensure our purchase of our house. Thanks to Emily, we now have our dream home when we thought it wasn’t going to happen. The rest of the team were also brilliant with us and very patient whilst explaining everything to us as first-time buyers who had never bought a house before, thank you so much! Had few unfortunate hiccups in the beginning due to ,(in my opinion time wasters) but william browns got striaght back on track instantly. Daniel delt with our sale and what an incredible young man,he went above and beyond his job role ,he bent over backwards to help us with documentation etc Every thing went smoothly, kept us informed through out . would highly recommend william browns ,and would use again if ever needed to. Been here to look for a property had no luck first time so gave it a 3 star but came back as a last resort as the property they had was in the area and I got it thank god so I would recommend checking William H Brown again if your still looking for a property and that's why they got 5 stars now from me the manager Nichola is a star she helped us to fill out the forms as it was hard to do online and I can't forget Jessie who was helpful in doing the form with me and keeping us updated when Nichola was busy or not in I hope he gets a promotion to manager soon to work with Nichola as they are the best people I've dealt with keep it up guys

We put offers on 3 properties during this time, of which the 2nd property fell though nearly at exchange, so as expected my anxiety was through the roof and I was constantly ringing and messaging asking for reassurance and asking loads of questions.

I have been searching for a suitable property for a while now from a 2 bed to 3 bed house for future proofing reasons. I eventually found one thanks to Rebecca. From getting the viewing all the way through to completing myself and Rebecca have been in good close contact to move things along on both sides.

The agents we were in contact with at Willian H Brown in Halifax were extremely helpful and professional. They were incredibly responsive, and always called back or chased when required in order to facilitate the process as quickly and as easily as possible.
They were very understanding in regards to all our requests / enquiries and happy to go above and beyond in order to make sure we were put at ease within the process. We had a very difficult sale due to many factors . Covid being one of them. Which meant we had to stop the sale and then pick it up 7 months later .
I would also like to comment that they exhibited a high level of patience when necessary. Would definitely recommend, and would be happy to work with again!
I very rarely write reviews if ever. But due to the circumstances I felt it was necessary. We used them when purchased a house in 2016 and was so impressed that when decided to sell 5 years later they were the only ones we called.
I'm terrible with names but every time I called I was always greeted very friendly. I mainly dealt with Yasmin Lee and she went above and beyond at every step and just was great. Constantly chasing when things needed chasing and just responded almost immediately . Also Daniel Madden who dealt with initial sale and getting everything started. He got me really confident about the process and just nailed the initial viewings.
There the two names i remember but it was the team as a whole who reallllly go the extra mile. If someone isn't available you don't have to worry about it not getting done . A+ service and I will be using them again in the future.

Not a very good experience from William H Brown as a buyer.
Made a full asking price offer on a property 17th September. I had to chase them several times for a decision to be told that the seller would like more viewings to go ahead. I didn't have a problem with this as I appreciate it is a very competitive market. I have then chased them again to be told that the sale has been agreed to another buyer without them even having the decency to call me or give me the opportunity to increase my offer.

We started our selling process in Sept 20 - a small window during COVID - even though most business with solicitors etc was conducted on line, text or phone we'd more all less sold by Christmas & completed with move by end of January. Arranged a appointment with mortgage advisor over the phone, didn't even bother to call at arranged time, waiting for call even called to check and no answer even though open, no explanation given or courtesy call, also won't arrange a viewing without mortgage promise in place and some staff is quite rude on the phone, if I had known this at the time I would have arranged a appointment with a independent advisor.

I have recently sold my home via the team in the Halifax offices. they were faced with no end of challenges during the process, from lock down, to diffcult/awkward buyers - the team did not shy away from their responsibilities and doubled down on their efforts to push the sale through.
They recommended HomePropertyLawyers to carry out the conveyencing. this was an excellent choice as they have a good level of synergy and there were no delays in relaying information.
My agent looking after my sale was Dan M, he is driven, throughtful, professional & has very thick skin! - he is not deterred to making the hard choices / advice.
I would not hesitate in recommending the Halifax branch of WHBrown.

We put our house up with William Brown in January. Unfortunately lockdown didn't help but the service was awful. We had to chase. Had to redo photos. Only 2 viewings even after the stamp duty went off. No floorplan. All they wanted to do was reduce the price but still no viewings. No feedback. Were terrible at returning calls when we left messages. I would never use again. When we took the house off the market we weren't even questioned why. I am not a professional reviewer.

Called multiple times asking to view 2 properties up for sale to be told I'll get a call back very soon. Made them aware I already had offer in on another property so needed the viewing ASAP. Never bothered to contact me so I contacted them a week later only for them to tell me there's now just been an agreement. I called for a viewing on the morning they were put on the market and lost out due to a lack of response from the agents. Not impressed with the ignorance of these agents and in future will ignore any properties from William H Brown as they obviously like to pick and choose

I recently used William H Brown to sell my late brother's property in Halifax. This was a daunting enough task in itself as I am not from the area and live 150 miles away. I genuinely could not have wished for a better team of people at the Sowerby Bridge and Halifax offices. Daniel and Edward went above and beyond on numerous occasions to help me. Nothing was ever too much trouble and I am pleased to say that the sale was completed successfully and I was kept fully informed throughout. What could have been a very stressful time was eased by their genuine good nature and willingness to help. During the on going pandemic of 2020 and in spite of the difficulties from the lock down rules, I have to say that both Nichola, Sophie and the team at WHB, still provided and excellent service and as soon as they were able (following government guidelines) arranged for our latest Tennant to move in. Excellent Service Again, so a big thank you for All your hard work and for going that extra mile to sort our Tennant out.

I have used/worked with Nichola & the team @ WHB Halifax for just over 5 years now to find Tennant’s for our properties, they have always given good advise and are always on the ball in getting tenants into my properties in a timely fashion and to date, all the tenants have proved to be 'Good tenants'.

I used the Halifax branch of William H Brown, and the affiliated mortgage company (Sequence), for my first house purchase and found that the whole process went smoothly. This was thanks mainly to the assistance of mortgage consultant Gemma Malcolm, who as well as providing useful mortgage advice really went out of her way to be helpful, chasing up third parties when things looked in danger of grinding to a halt and making sure that everything got done within a reasonable time frame. Please Do not deal with leef, just deal with these guys, It's a quick service, and repairs, are dealt with straight away over the phone/email etc.

My advice is.... do not use this estate agent, they didn't return calls to us or numerous people who wanted to view, they didn't qualify viewings properly. When we did eventually agree a sale they just went with the first person to say yes without checking them out properly. They never followed up, chased or progressed any sale without being asked. After our sale fell through four times, 9 months later the cost, in money, stress and time was unbelievable. We moved estate agent and completed the sale within three months.

Very dodgy agent. We lost out on a beautiful house because they encouraged another buyer to gazump us, knowing we were at the maximum of our affordability. They also refused to take the property off the market after our offer was accepted because there was no space in their diary to qualify us, yet the other buyer managed to get qualified straight away. They have a very low moral compass.
