If I would, I would put 0 stars. The house was super dirty when we arrived and in the middle of renovations so I lived in a room with a BROKEN window for 6 months, using an electrical heater to heat up the room and wasting a ton of energy. After I moved out I heard they refused to give back the deposit because of cleaning, when I for a fact know this was not an issue and it was CLEANER than when we arrived. Very rude and condescending people, and disorganised about making arrangements for contractors to come to the house. They would often say one day and then never come. Super uncomfortable treating with them and hope they are better this year.... Read more

wouldn’t even rate it a 1 star. Very unprofessional, my partner and I had an appointment at 3:30pm today to view a property and our estate agent didn’t even bother turning up for the appointment. We did not receive a phone call to let us know where he is. We waited outside for 30mins and still no phone call so we decided to leave.... Read more

Dodgy family duo - rent hiked me during Covid and stole my deposit when I tried to leave. Pretends to be a third party but seem to own many of the properties they manage. Flat had a mouse problem, front door locks didn’t work and when someone tried to break in our front door (because it was noticeably dodgy and was on a somewhat prominent road in Peckham) they blamed us for breaking it deliberately? The team at Winkworth New Cross went out of their way, putting in huge effort, to get our sale over the line in a really tough market. They were highly responsive and helpful throughout the process and kept well on top of everything to push the sale through. A special thanks to George, Gibson, Phoebe and Hannah for all your work. The lettings team also stepped in when the market was very slow to manage a short-term tenancy for us. My fiancée and I were looking for a new place to call home following our wedding in July and Winkworth have been able to find us such a great place! Booking a viewing was easy and efficient, after giving an offer for the flat things went quickly too. Although, I felt quite pressured into renting the flat while the sale is in the process even though I have mentioned few times I'm staying with the family and renting doesn't interest me. After the sale memorandum came out my emails were only half answered when I had questions. The seller of the flat was investor and the agency made sure to highlight this to me repeatedly telling me they have more properties with this person. The investor wanted to meet in person before the sale, which was organised by the estate agents, on the date of our "meeting" I was told that there was the last minute change, the investor can not make It in person but we will have a zoom call, which of course never happened, I have travelled from other side of London just to waste my morning waiting for this important investor not to even respond to agency calls. Before I left, I was told we will re arrange the zoom call but have never heard back from the estate agent. The whole process was so unprofessional, it made me feel like the investor selling the flat was the important one here and my time didn't matter.... Read more

Disorganised time wasters. I had a viewing booked - organised by Sadie - which I travelled up from Brighton for, as well as making arrangements to leave work early, buying a train ticket etc. I emailed in the morning check in again on the viewing (I replied to the confirmation email which set out the time) and then was left waiting outside the property - no one showed up and when I called Winkworth they tried to pretend it was my fault saying they thought I was booked in on Saturday (never even nearly discussed a Saturday viewing), but then also gave a number of other useless excuses including saying that Sadie who booked my viewing moved to another branch (I spoke to her the day before). I had no bounce back from my email to her so obviously she still got me emails checking in on the viewing. Avoid avoid avoid... Read more
