Often seemed disinterested in selling it, I was always chasing for feedback. Had some potential buyers but all felt quite passive rather than pushing the sell. Felt like they gave up in the end and didn’t seem bothered for me to move to a different agent. No viewings in a month. Lack of communication and also knowledge of the property. Forgot it was a leasehold to potential viewers and ownership of attic space that I’d explained about prior to instructing.

Worst estate agent I’ve dealt with. Bought my property through them and then tried to sell it thought them but their staff is now a bunch of youngsters who are scared of the phone and just hide from giving their customers clear communications. It was frustrating to work with them and got no further with my house sale. Went elsewhere and had much more success.

My rental agreement managed by Winkworth fell through two weeks before my move in date, even though they had said in writing, multiple times, that the landlord had accepted our offer. After costing us thousands of pounds in associated move in costs because of this and only informing us the deal had fallen through via email, nd even admitting to their atrocious miscommunication, they tried to buy me off with a 50 pound Amazon gift card. An utter joke of an estate agency, don't work with them if you value your sanity.

Atrocious service. Winkworth rental team allowed us to sign a tenancy agreement, send over a security deposit, a holding deposit, and 4 weeks rent before then telling us the deal had fallen through. There was no indication at any point throughout the process that the landlord was considering other tenants, or that the deal wasn't binding. Despite all this, they still haven't returned our roughly 3500 pounds. Unprofessional, incompetent, and verging on criminal. Whilst we understand that most of the blame lies with the landlord, Winkworth have been completely unwilling to accept any fault on their part for poor communication, misrepresentation, and the glacial speed of returning our money for a service that they not only didn't deliver, but were never even capable of delivering in the first place.

TL:DR they lied and lied and cost me at least £500.
Gonna try to split this in stages.
Viewings: dude lied to me that it was quite and no upstairs neighbours.
Moving in: on the day of the move, they told me the flat wasn't ready (I had all my stuff in a van and no place to go) flat was dirty, no power, no gas, had to wait a week to get it ready.
During: quick in replying to repairs, tho I had a scaffold with no security on a high street.
Moving out: they (Sadie in specific) lied that I couldn't get an extension request at least 5 times (landlord was ok) I had to look for a new flat, sign a deposit. Only later to know I could stay losing the £500 deposit. There was no accountability.
Don't go for this one.

The house was super dirty when we arrived and in the middle of renovations so I lived in a room with a BROKEN window for 6 months, using an electrical heater to heat up the room and wasting a ton of energy. After I moved out I heard they refused to give back the deposit because of cleaning, when I for a fact know this was not an issue and it was CLEANER than when we arrived.
Very rude and condescending people, and disorganised about making arrangements for contractors to come to the house. They would often say one day and then never come. Super uncomfortable treating with them and hope they are better this year.

Very unprofessional, my partner and I had an appointment at 3:30pm today to view a property and our estate agent didn’t even bother turning up for the appointment. We did not receive a phone call to let us know where he is.
We waited outside for 30mins and still no phone call so we decided to leave.

Dodgy family duo - rent hiked me during Covid and stole my deposit when I tried to leave. Pretends to be a third party but seem to own many of the properties they manage.
Flat had a mouse problem, front door locks didn’t work and when someone tried to break in our front door (because it was noticeably dodgy and was on a somewhat prominent road in Peckham) they blamed us for breaking it deliberately?
Really only the tip of the iceberg in terms of the terrible experience I had with them.

Booking a viewing was easy and efficient, after giving an offer for the flat things went quickly too. Although, I felt quite pressured into renting the flat while the sale is in the process even though I have mentioned few times I'm staying with the family and renting doesn't interest me. After the sale memorandum came out my emails were only half answered when I had questions. The seller of the flat was investor and the agency made sure to highlight this to me repeatedly telling me they have more properties with this person. The investor wanted to meet in person before the sale, which was organised by the estate agents, on the date of our "meeting" I was told that there was the last minute change, the investor can not make It in person but we will have a zoom call, which of course never happened, I have travelled from other side of London just to waste my morning waiting for this important investor not to even respond to agency calls. Before I left, I was told we will re arrange the zoom call but have never heard back from the estate agent. The whole process was so unprofessional, it made me feel like the investor selling the flat was the important one here and my time didn't matter.

Disorganised time wasters. I had a viewing booked - organised by Sadie - which I travelled up from Brighton for, as well as making arrangements to leave work early, buying a train ticket etc. I emailed in the morning check in again on the viewing (I replied to the confirmation email which set out the time) and then was left waiting outside the property - no one showed up and when I called Winkworth they tried to pretend it was my fault saying they thought I was booked in on Saturday (never even nearly discussed a Saturday viewing), but then also gave a number of other useless excuses including saying that Sadie who booked my viewing moved to another branch (I spoke to her the day before). I had no bounce back from my email to her so obviously she still got me emails checking in on the viewing. Avoid avoid avoid

To the manager with the sweet dog time to keep the gold standard workers and get rid of the fish! I think it is the same person upsetting people. The positive reviews here contributed to our decision to go with Winkworths recently so I wanted to share our experience for balance.
We recently put our two bedroom flat in Telegraph Hill on the market. We're aware this is a super volatile time for the market; buyers are understandably nervous and there are lots of other reasons why a sale might not be as straightforward as at other times. So we were prepared things might be tricky. We met with a few different agents but Paul from Winkworths made a very strong case that he was the person to sell it for us, following up to let us know he had sold nearby flats for good prices. Convinced, we agreed to sign up with them.
When we listed the property, they sent round an agency photographer to photograph the flat. I won't bore everyone with the details but despite very clear communication from me that I could move whatever he needed at any point, the photographer took several shots and the 360 video with a load of random bags and storage in shot. These photos weren't really usable, and this meant we lost any angles of a really nice feature in the flat as they didn't have any alternative takes.
The first weekend we had three viewings booked. The agent doing the viewings apparently didn't check her emails the day before and didn't realise that we weren't going to be in. This wouldn't have been a problem as we had left keys at the office, but she was also late, not leaving enough time to go back and get them. As a result, by the time she retrieved the keys, we lost two of the three viewings. Afterwards, she gave us feedback from one of the people who wasn't able to view inside the property that they thought the road was too noisy. This is totally fair enough, apart from the fact that our flat is actually much quieter inside than you would expect from the road it's on (something Paul had commented on when he visited as a good selling point) and if they had seen inside this would have been apparent. The fact she thought this was useful feedback under the circumstances was really confusing to us.
Since then, we have had zero viewings. We had one scheduled but cancelled at short notice for unknown reasons. So that's one viewing in an entire month it's been on the market. We recently spoke to Pedder, who have a similar property two doors down from us currently on the market at a comparable price, and they had three viewings just last weekend.
Despite being impressed with Paul on meeting him, and being convinced by his spiel that they could do a good job, I couldn't honestly recommend this experience to anyone else. We'll be re-listing with a different agent now, and the whole thing just feels like a waste of everyone's time.
