Conran came up very quickly on our research for finding an estate agent to sell our home and having completed that journey with them, it is clear why.
From the get the go the team, led by Guy, were approachable, open and honest about their sale approach, the market conditions and what they will do to support us in finding the right buyer and the right price.
The sale brochure and setup up of our home to be sold online was all done very quickly and very professionally. They adapted their approach to find a buyer between a planned weekend open house and specific viewing evenings, and within less than 2 weeks we had 2 prospective buyers both with offers above our preferred minimal target.
Throughout the sale process the team were great at keeping us updated, sharing their knowledge and experience and supporting where they can, even escalating and chasing our own solicitors to support with making progress.
As discussed with the team, we would have preferred that we got more support with the selling process in terms of sorting out our local searches and chasing our management agents etc. rather than our own solicitors, (mainly due to our poor experience from our own solicitors) but totally recognise for various reasons why this may not feasible to do. If this can be incorporated, this would add even more value to a great experience with Conran - one for another time :)
We fully recommend using Conran and especially the Brockley branch under Guy.

Very pleased with the personable service I received from Conrans in Brockley. I initially contacted a number of competing estate agents to market my property for sale. All others stayed for 10 minutes with some printed market stats which did not reflect my goals, or the standard of my recently refurbished flat. Guy took the time to run through the local market on screen and show examples where they had marketed a unique product correctly, to the right people, to achieve the sale price they wanted. My sale principles were respected, and I never felt forced into anything. Great help from Felix and Joey who initially visited to discuss the property highlights, and also helped to navigate the sale with regular contact throughout. We plan to use the team again for my girlfriends property in the future.

I would highly recommend heading to Conran to buy any property. If I had to give any other feedback I would say the only thing I was not very impressed with was the "Conran Concierge" I was put in touch with them to help set up my utility bills with the relevant providers however not sure what happened but I ended up having to re-setup all my accounts as the applications sent via the Conran Concierge did not work but this was not communicated with me. It was not to much of a big deal for me though.

I feel like I have had a good overall experience with Conran Brockley. They have helped me to let my property out whilst I am overseas and I definitely feel like they will help take care of any issues that crop up. At times I felt like I had some issues with communication. Whilst looking for new tenants, I felt like some of my questions went unanswered until I chased with a phone call. However I still think that my experience overall was a positive one. I have started working with the property manager (who looks after the property long term) and I think the communication has improved.

Conran were our first choice to sell our flat in Brockley, which turned out to be a prolonged process, one which they told us was one of the longest they'd been a part of.
The team are excellent. There are a handful of local estate agents who fit the stereotype - Guy, Felix and the team are the antithesis of this. They're wonderful people who genuinely care about the people they're working for and will fight your corner if and when it is necessary.
We really appreciated their hard work on our long and drawn out sale, and in the unlikely event that we decided to sell our house, they'll be our first port of call.

I rented out my apartment 2 years ago via Conran Brockley branch, I opted for full-management in the first year as I moved abroad. They charged me £300 per month and I got absolutely ZERO service from them, it was an absolute nightmare. It took the property manager days if not weeks to reply an email, my tenants had leaking in the bathroom and Conran never managed to sort this out, 4 months later they were still telling the tenants they were trying to reach the service company. In the end my tenants bypassed Conran and got the leaking fixed themselves. During a whole year they never visited my apartment to check in, NOT EVEN ONCE, other estate agencies would go to a landlord's property every few months to check in and report back. Basically I paid them £3600 for a year of NOTHING, barely even an email reply. I want my money back!!

Conran was the agent for the flat that we just purchased. We dealt with a number of agents (I would say at least 15 and we actually almost bought another flat with another agent) but Dan from Conran was the best agent we ever dealt with. Despite that the agent works for the seller Dan was incredibly helpful and guided us through the process from the beginning till the end. When our offer was accepted there was no handing over of our case to another processing team (which often happens with large agencies and the processing team tends to be much less responsive). Their unusual approach in arranging a meeting between us and the vendor at the property before an offer was accepted built trust and made the experience much more personal. Let's face it, estate agency is not generally the most loved profession and selling or buying a house is not made easy by the UK laws and procedures. It's not something we would choose to do for fun! Conran was the third estate agent I have used to sell my property - oh how I wish I'd gone there first!!
I tried an online estate agent first - I though it was worth a punt - and at first seemed all OK, Service was pretty good, but the viewings started like a slow stream and rapidly went to a tiny trickle. Then, they only had one answer - drop the price, repeated pretty much every day until I got fed up with them and gave them the shove. The next agent I tried was a traditional high street agent - and they seemed to do their utmost to live up to the generally poor reputation that plagues the profession, pushing me to accept a ridiculously low offer solely for their commission and without trying to understand my situation. So they were next to be disposed with.
I then came to Conran, what a complete difference. Guy Marsh, the head of the branch is an absolute gentleman, the exact opposite of the perceived typical 'Flash Harry' portrayal of an estate agent and he has assembled a great team around him. Guy very much took the time to listen and understand my situation, has never been pushy, and definitely had our best interests at heart.
So what was the difference? Well, for starters we had 34 viewings in a pretty short period of time - astonishing given the poor amount we had through the other two agents (which would of course have already exhausted some of the local enquiry pool). Then when viewings flagged a little Conran produced a bespoke leaflet for our property and personally delivered it to a large number of flats in our area to try and snag a buyer.
Generally speaking one of the younger chaps in the branch - Dan, did our viewings, very professional and courteous and as far as experience goes I felt we had an excellent service from him. We also occasionally dealt with Pedro who was equally pleasant to work with. Thanks to both.
We're now sold STC and Guy and the back-office team are helping everything to run smoothly, I won't lie, it's a stressful time, but I feel that Conran have worked very hard to reduce this stress to the minimum.
Guy has always been available for advice and assistance when needed and the whole team certainly seems to have put their heart and soul into the process.
Costs - well, I won't put any figures here as they don't mean that much as time goes buy but I will say that I felt the charges were reasonable and in line with other estate agents in the area, given the superb service I will have no regrets whatsoever when settling the bill!
In summary very, very highly commended estate agents, I only hope that if I come to sell again that Guy has set up a Conran branch near our new place!!! Many thanks to Guy and the team.

My house had been on the market for over 16 weeks with an on-line estate agent with no reasonable offers. I decided to switch to a high street agent and the agent I chose was Conran Estate Agents Brockley who had sold my next door neighbours house, which, by the way, went on the market the same time as mine and was sold within 6 weeks.
When Guy Marsh from Conran Estates came to see me for a valuation, I was impressed by his relaxed, friendly but professional manner. I immediately felt at ease. There was no pressure selling as I had experienced before with other agents. We were actually having a two-way conversation. He didn’t make any promises but said, “give me 2 weeks and if you are not happy you’re free to choose another agent.” I was therefore not tied into a long contract.
Dan Sharpe, who is the negotiator, came to see me shortly afterwards to familiarise himself with the property and to meet me to explain how the viewings would be conducted. I consider this to be excellent customer service.
The house was on the market with Conran for 2 days when I had the first viewing. Seven days later I had three viewings and an offer was made and accepted at the asking price. Dan arranged the viewings which was stress free and very convenient and also negotiated the price. Both Guy and Dan were always available to speak to me when I thought things were a “bit quite” during the conveyancing and if they were not available they always got back to me. Contracts have now been exchanged and I am looking forward to moving into my new home at the end of the month.
Guy and Dan had a very relaxed, friendly but professional approach with expertise and knowledge of the local area and demonstrated a commitment in selling which is highly commendable. I would like to thank all the staff at Conran Estate Agents, Brockley for their excellent customer service. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them as they went that extra mile and restored my faith in high street agents and has earned every penny of their commission.

Great depth of knowledge on market conditions and property transactions with attention to detail and customer service that provided an excellent experience.
More specifically, contrary to the market practice of providing unrealistic numbers to sellers and then pushing them to reduce the price after a couple of weeks, Guy provides a realistic market price that he would then proceed to strongly negotiate on our behalf. He was against me reducing further the price of my property as I was looking for a very quick sell and he managed to secure a buyer even though the market conditions right now are not optimal.
He would always be available and resolve matters swiftly without any delays. He was extremely polite and respectful when he was speaking to me about the buyers and all parties involved in the transactions. Selling property in London can be a roller coaster experience so I was determined to use the right estate agent to sell my flat in Brockley. After meeting a number of local estate agents, it was refreshing to meet Guy who came across genuine and personable. He provided useful advice on how best to market the flat and did not make promises he could not keep. Dan was also excellent in dealing with potential buyers, was always available to take my calls and kept me up to date during the selling transaction.
There are certainly cheaper estate agents out there but I certainly felt that I got the service I paid for and by following Guys advice, I got my flat on the market and an offer accepted within 2 weeks.

While renting in London is never going to be the dream, Conran Estates have for the most part been great to deal with. Dan was very responsive and friendly throughout the process and we didn't have to chase paperwork or payment confirmation. Our flat is managed by them and Roisin has been super helpful at answering our questions and making sure we had all necessary info.
I would really recommend renting through Conran. Much better than all the big firms we've rented through! And when we're ready to buy Conran would be my first port of call as they were generally so nice to deal with.

Over the months searching for a house the team at Conran Brockley gave my wife and I the best possible experience of house hunting. I say team because they really are just that. They were always accommodating and just an absolute pleasure to deal with.
Some of the agents that we met in the area rearranged appointments at the last minute and on one occasion didn't even turn up! Not at Conran, Guy and his team were on time every single time, and that is so important when you are trying to squeeze many viewings into a day.
Dan made sure he always gave us the space to the view the houses on our own but answered any questions that we had.
During the contracts phase with solicitors Guy was incredibly helpful and kept the sale on track.
If you are buying or selling in Brockley, I could not recommend Conran Estates more highly. Lovely people who are great at what they do.

I received 5-star treatment all the way with Conran Estates.
When looking for an agent to evaluate my property, Guy arrived promptly at the appointed time and was not only up-to-date and knowledgeable about the area but had also done his research on the property itself - which was very impressive. He advised me on the current state of the property market and gave good, clear suggestions on how Conran Estates would manage the sale of my property, if I chose to elect them for the sale.
Similarly before the property went online, Jess and Fiona visited me themselves to view the property and ascertain what I believed were its advantages and selling points. They were as enthusiastic and motivated to sell the property as if it were they themselves who owned it.
Overall I felt I could trust the team fully and appreciated their efforts to make the sale of the property as smooth as possible. Knowledgeable and professional, I would recommend Conran Estates to anyone looking to sell their home.
