I very rarely write a review it’s not something that I do but I feel that in this instance it is more than warranted. If I could give Lynne at your move 10 stars I would.
We have been through a very difficult complicated house sale that seemed to go on for ever, we spoke to lynne and emailed daily sometimes 2/3 times a day and nothing was ever to much trouble.
Lynne for us went above and beyond dealing with our solicitors / the difficult buyers solicitors and the mortgage company’s once lynne had a goal she was relentless in piecing all the parts together to make our sale happen ifor us lynne was in charge of everyone / when she was not in we found that instructions had been left for other members of staff ( who were also great ) on our situation so that we never felt at a loss end. She is professional/ reliable / straight talking and to us she has also become a friend

Hands down the best estate agent we've ever dealt with. We have just completed our house sale with Your Move Swadlincote in 9 weeks with Christmas in between. Ann came out and valued the house absolutely spot on and put together a great brochure and got us online. Lynne then took over with the handling of our property and was proactively sending our brochure to prospective buyers, providing us with weekly updates and within 5 weeks we were sold with the perfect buyer. Lynne then helped the sale run so smoothly and again was calling and emailing regularly with updates. We cannot fault Your Move Swadlincote one bit. I wrote this review before I moved in and have only decided to send it now:
“I’m writing this review very reluctantly, but I do feel as if I should express my disappointment
As a first time renter (outside of student renting, I didn't expect this entire process to be so stressful and painful. I found a property to my liking, a new conversion in the area, and proceeded with the reservation process.
I’m quite big on planning ahead, especially in this case as I was moving half-way across the country for a new job. I requested the floor plan a couple of times however between YourMove, the Landlord and the Site Manager I told there wasn't one? I’m unsure as to how planning permission would have been granted without it…
I also enquired about the type of internet the property would have (e.g fiber) however the same three parties were unable to tell me, so I had to delay purchasing a plan for myself so it would be ready on arrival. This was the same with electricity and water.
Due to the previously mentioned issues I had a second viewing to sort them out and I was slightly concerned about the the condition of the flat so close to the move in date, however I will say that at the time of writing this I have been assured that my concerns are or have been rectified in line with the move in date. In addition to this, Lauren didn’t seem too happy that I was trying to measure the property. I definitely felt very rushed during this process, which didn’t feel was fair at all.
I can appreciate that some things are out of control, but I would argue that in a couple of cases here the information I needed should have been readily available to make things as smooth as possible, especially for myself as I have just started this chapter of my life. I am looking forward to moving into my new place in a couple of days.”
The last sentence hilarious to me, as the confusion continued. I was wrongly I formed that my windows would be able to open, however upon arrival I found that was not the case. This would have been a deal breaker if knew this. Not good enough.
Again, in the second viewing mentioned earlier, I was informed that no washing machine and fridge would be provided. However around a week before we were told that we WERE going to get those appliances. While a relief, I had to go about cancelling an order I had made. While I got my money back, I’m aware of other tenants who bought appliances and were unable to do so. Poor.
Overall-very dissatisfied.

Our agent at the time Lauren kept us posted every step of the way and always reassured us when we were worrying about the process and how long it was taking! When Lauren was off she gave a detail handover to Louise about our move and where we was in the process. Louise again was also reassuring throughout the process and was very quick to answer our questions. Together they worked effectively as a team and had great communication! To this day they are still supporting us and answering any questions and have a quick response. If you are thinking of using a cheap online property service.....quite simply DON'T!! Unless you know how the system works....I can't stress enough how helpful the Swadlincote branch where....they helped with direct communication between parties and keep you updated as to key moments in the chain of events.....I had a particular bad experience with my solicitor failing to have everything in place but Terry who is Swadlincote branch manager intervined and saved the day .....he runs a tight ship and has a brilliant team behind him....I also suspect he has alot of clout in the business. .....your move branch in Swad are worth there weight in gold

As a property investor, i deal with hundreds of estate agents each year. Generally, the communication is poor from the point a sale is agreed. This was NOT the case with Your move. I was kept updated throughout the sale, and the communication was regular and helpful.

Disgraceful Lettings department! Disabled partner moved into one of their “managed” properties yesterday. No battery in the smoke alarm, boiler leaking water, switched off as does not work....how did they get a Gas Safety Certificate for this property......he has no heating or hot water and is extremely uncomfortable......having paid 6 months rent upfront!????Will be referring to the Property Ombudsman.....steer clear of this Lettings shambles!

Both Lynne and Terry were brilliant throughout the process, and helped enormously when it came towards some complications with solicitors at the end of the process.

Having had two recent experiences as a customer of this organisation I can fully recommend them to prospective sellers.
If you believe in perfection (I'm not, so I don't) there is a flaw meaning I ended up writing my own home description, however their exceptional professionalism in other areas and level of customer care is second to none. Equally their valuation process is accurate and their faciltation of viewings is outstanding in the most challenging of times.
The entire team is considerate, caring and supportive which is clearly influenced by a 'lead by example' management approach. The bossman, Terry, is the most genuine and friendly estate agent you would wish to meet and a huge asset to the organisation. Post-sale I almost miss our continual dialogue, although I would wager the feeling is not mutual!
My only advice to potential customers is to avoid their 'solicitor' recommendations and stick to known expertise. Aside that I totally endorse this estate agent as your very first choice ; they will seal you a fair deal and make you feel valued at a level above their local competition.

Me and my boyfriend loved a house that we had waited a week and taken time off work to go and view, I understand it may not have been the estate agents fault that she had no keys to show us the back of the house or for the back gate but the same estate agent did not have the back keys for another property we were interested in.
Very disappointed as I believe that they made our viewing a bad viewing experience because the lady selling the property wanted a specific person or friend to get the property. (The seller worked there at your move).
When I asked for another viewing once they had got the keys for us to see the back garden apparently they had no time, so showing people half a house is good enough (on 2 occasions)??. the estate agent called and said that they have had multiple offers on the property....??!!
Just because there have been offers on the property does not mean that we wouldn't have put an offer down too? I feel like we were shunned out before even getting a full opportunity to view the house that we loved. Very disappointing from your move.

Your Move were originally managing one of my rental properties until I decided to sell. They sold the house within a couple of days and we had 3 offers to pick from.

I shared my experience about YourMove in the beginning above about the way they treated me when I moved in. This has changed, as soon as I was moved in the treatment is repulsing, there was a drastic change from them wanting to take my money to them having me inside and moving foward. I am still having issues with the company since the first week I moved in. I sent an email over a month ago now and I am still waiting for a reply, I have sent in a further two prompting emails and also copied in the branch manager. Still no reply. There is no working thermostat in the property and nights are getting colder, they say that they cannot contact the head office and that i have to do this myself (as if the company isn't able to communicate with their head office). I have rented multiple times and this is by far the worst experience I have had. Nothing ever gets done, nearly four months later and I am facing the same problems as I was when moved in. This month i am refusing to give any rent until the point that everything I reported it attended to. It seems that this is the only way I will be able to get through to the company. Rent prices are inflated, at the time I did not know the area but since living there, multiple properties of the same type have became available from other agencies at a much lower price, when asking them to asess the pricing this is refused. Due to the poor treatment, i will not be renewing my agreement with them and moving out after the first six months to find a more suitable property with landlords that care. Be very careful when it comes to YourMove, that's all that I can say. When I moved into the property there was a mouldy mattress on the back garden, bags and boxes of old food and this bought rats within the seven foot high grass surrounding the property. They failed to take responsibility for this and when I asked about someone doing the work, they told me that someone was coming round to sort the garden (which never happened).

The service received from Your Move was 5*. The response times to all communications either phone calls or via email where swift and prompt. We faced no issues in the very rigid time scale that we had between leaving the old property and finding / entering into a new agreement. Your move understood the difficulties we were facing and did everything they could to ensure that the progress moved along as quickly as possible. Emily from the team kept us updated along the way and whilst we felt like we were nagging and becoming annoying, she never showed anything but professionalism in her mannerisms. After dealing with a few properties companies over the years, your move are certainly the most thorough, the most professional and the quickest / easiest to work with.

Moving house is the most stressful thing you will ever do. We was faced by reluctancey and was not felt to be a good process. They were happy when we were looking but when we found the one and put a offer on it they told the sellers in these exact words “he is not a serious buyer we will get more if you keep the viewings” this to me means we want a biding war. then when we went to colect the keys i was shocked by being told “please leave us a review on google and make it a 5 star” is this how you get all of your 5 stars?.
