Sue and the team in cumbrian properties were excellent in being able to help me properties within my catchment areas and keep me informed ahead of the market on potential housing. Would definitely recommend to others, as the service was spot on.

11th Feb 2025 (6 weeks ago)Shocking Estate Agents. Look at the difference between their Facebook reviews and their other reviews. Why are all the Facebook reviews much much better? Neil the supposed negotiator couldn't sell his way out of a wet paper bag! And he's so rude and arrogant. Why are they rude to potential customers? Why are they scared of certain customers they haven't met? Why are they paranoid?

If you rent from Northwood take your time and go through everything that seems not right (although you might risk to "lose" the property you're interested in, if you complain too much) Keep everything email documented.

31st Jul 2024 (7 mo. ago)Our overall experience with Bettermove is one of disappointment. They sold a model whereby they would market our property to their pool of investors. Essentially they put our house on Rightmove for a slightly higher price then they said they would pay us and left it there. I had to chase for updates and when they responded it was to say that their investors thought the price was an issue! So why didnt you speak to us about that and say what we thought to reducing. I dont actually think they've got investors, just people who want a cash purchase in certain areas. Fortunately we didn't pay Bettermove any money for their services and we ended the contract as soon as we could

21st Mar 2025 (4 days ago)Best estate agents in Cumbria. When selling our house we initially overlooked Lakes Estates and went for an established regional agent. That was a mistake. That established agent rested on their laurels and ultimately proved totally ineffective. However, despite initially rejecting Lakes Estates, when approached a second time Glenn happily took over and marketed our property at an increased selling price, achieving a sale very quickly. He knows the market and what buyers want. His approach is personal, professional and ultimately highly effective. He is open and honest - refreshing qualities for an estate agent. Office Manager Hannah is diligent, polite and also extremely efficient in her role. Nothing is too much trouble for her. We encountered some minor issues during the sales process that Hannah easily took in her stride. If you are in Cumbria, these are the agents you should use.

Kim, of Kate Robson estate agents, really went above and beyond communicating to navigate around a couple of hurdles that were out of everyone's control. She always responded to messages so quickly and was completely understanding, nothing was too much or too stressful. Kim was always very honest, helpful and dependable. I really appreciate all your hard work both with selling my home and helping me purchase the new property. Thank you so much.
