We were always kept informed of appointments, active in sending the feedback and offers through , and there was always good communication between all members of the staff and ourselves. The staff went above and beyond to make the selling process as smooth as possible for us as the clients. I highly recommend them.
10th Feb 2023 (2 years ago)We’ve let a number of our properties, both locally (and throughout south Wales) via Matthew and his team at First 4 Rentals, for many years, and constantly received a professional, capable and friendly service. In over 25 years of dealing with various agents throughout Wales, First 4 Rentals is the only one I’ve ever been impressed with enough to write a public review. Their level of service, attention to detail, prompt communication and helpfulness is something that sets them apart from lesser agents. Over the years, Matthew has helped sort out everything that a remote landlord will encounter, and all with satisfactory outcomes, for both us, and the tenants. (We were always relived to know we had found a letting agent who supported and facilitated our goal of being a decent and fair landlord, always ensuring all aspects of the letting process were compliant, safe and secure for both parties) Additionally, their level of personal attention is exemplary. By way of example; we requested a swift turnaround on a vacant property in Cardiff city centre at then end of last week - today at 8am a comprehensive video inspection report arrived in my inbox! Having engaged and supported us with both sales and lettings, Matthew consistently delivers a first class service, and I have no hesitation in recommending his services to anyone needing a trusted partner in what, for many of us, can be a challenging arena.

I dealt mainly with Chloe and she was brilliant at communicating throughout the whole process, always returning calls or emails promptly and giving regularupdates. She actually saved me a big delay, due to my surveyors, by noticing they hadn't been in touch with the vendor after they told we they would be. Overall I would highly recommend.

With the help of Martin I was able to tie my tenants in to a long term lease suited to both of us. Having dealt with commercial estate agents in the past I have never had any sound advice….my opinions have now changed. Thanks again Martin and team. I will definitely be recommending yourself. See you in 10 years for same…bet your glad to see the back of us lol.
4th Aug 2024 (7 mo. ago)Avoid! They are so ignorant it's unbelievable. Their tenant is constantly smoking cannabis and it's coming into my house. I have two children and they can't even use our garden anymore because of the smell. My son has asthma and has to use his pump a lot more since they moved in. I don't see why I have to put up with it, none of their team would

They even surprised me with a thoughtful moving-in basket filled with treats, which was such a lovely touch. I would highly recommend Watkins Estate Agents!

25th Oct 2024 (22 weeks ago)This is now my second time using Martin & Co Cardiff, having purchased my home with them just over 2 years ago and now selling my home as I move in with a partner. Once again Martin & Co live up to expectations in their area of expertise, managing to secure a sale in record time for my property where another agent wasn't able to. Henry and Astrid were both great to work with and got everything done with no fuss - and act as a great bridge between buyer and seller. Highly recommend.

The service and communication is amazing (especially compared to previous agents). The detail in inspections and finding tenants is very thorough. I would defo recommend!
31st Jul 2024 (7 mo. ago)Our overall experience with Bettermove is one of disappointment. They sold a model whereby they would market our property to their pool of investors. Essentially they put our house on Rightmove for a slightly higher price then they said they would pay us and left it there. I had to chase for updates and when they responded it was to say that their investors thought the price was an issue! So why didnt you speak to us about that and say what we thought to reducing. I dont actually think they've got investors, just people who want a cash purchase in certain areas. Fortunately we didn't pay Bettermove any money for their services and we ended the contract as soon as we could

Communication had to be prompted from the start, no viewings until I suggested changes to the advert, the is no responsibility taken by the staff. They are more happy to ignore your questions and hope you go away. Steer well clear
