6th Apr 2024 (23 weeks ago)Our experience with Mov8 was easy they kept us informed with viewing and communication was prompt. The only thing was their offices are in Edinburgh and Glasgow and we are in Carnoustie which was a little inconvenient if we needed to go to their office to sign things
14th Mar 2024 (6 mo. ago)Lack of communication and not pro-active as I had to instigate them doing anything. Pricing is terrible everything is an extra add on with vat on everything. Too expensive for lack of contact and or proactivity.

12th May 2024 (18 weeks ago)Murray & Currie are atrocious - we had rented with them for 4 years, having lived in two flats. In both, they had ignored us when we made them aware of plumbing issues (at one point disregarding months of constant follow-ups), which culminated in damage to our downstairs neighbours flats. Once again, in both instances, the neighbours had to contact our landlord themselves as the letting agents could not be bothered to do their job. Altogether, the caused thousands of pounds worth of damages and stress for everyone involved, including both us as the tenants and the landlords. This is the tip of the iceberg - I had paid rent in advance of my own volition at one flat, and they illegally kept it for months after I asked for it back (as I was moving). They also tried to charge us the full cost of a professional clean at move-out, despite the fact that we had paid for a professional cleaning using their own cleaning company upon the end of the tenancy. Honestly, there are no words. Truly I have never seen this level of incompetence. One flat managed by Murray and Currie and the entire neighbourhood ends up with a multi-year-long headache. You'd have better luck getting your property managed by a chimp.

Walked me through the process, explained everything and is just who you need on your side when buying or selling your home. His team at the office were also really helpful any time I called. He's got a brilliant support of businesses that he recommended which has made selling my house and absolute breeze. Great experience. Thank you Colin and everyone involved.

They sold my house within10 days for a good price. Couldn’t recommend them anymore.
16th Feb 2024 (6 mo. ago)Peter Murray has been excellent each time I have phoned in a crisis. He is very generous with his time, and doesn’t charge crazy money. Will continue to use when required (hopefully not soon though).

I'm so glad I opted for the good state agent instead of a larger high street agent, I really felt that the 'personal touch' made a difference.
20th Dec 2023 (8 mo. ago)Absolutely pathetic service. We we lied to from the onset. Rod wouldn't get back for up to a month at a time. Carried out useless work for over inflated prices without permission. Incidentally nothing materialaliaed with anything that he said he had done. Sorry excuse of an Estate Agent and I would keep away real nightmare of a man. He would phone up every 3 to 4 months and say how much did you pay for your property originally and did this for years.
18th Jan 2024 (7 mo. ago)Office staff were not impressive and office hours seemed to vary a lot . Not impressed . Didn’t feel they proactively pushed our property even though the property we were buying was also marketed by them . ( double fees)

They ensured I had everything in place. They handled the process, culminating in successful outcome. I could not have achieved this without their assistance.

I instantly took a liking to Joanne’s professional but relaxed approach and she knows the market so well. I valued her advice and we had such a laugh in the process taking a bit of the stress out of the process. Same s true of Stacey in the office and April. What a wonderful, hard working team. I would recommend First For Homes whether buying or selling. Thank you for all your help in finding and securing our place. We are so happy with it ????????????
22nd Aug 2024 (24 days ago)I used Watermans to buy a property, they came recommended to me by my mortgage advisor. I dealt with Sophie, who was extremely helpful throughout the process, answering all my queries, which probably were a little silly at time as I was a first time buyer and had little knowledge on the process, and kept me up to date with any developments. Highly recommend for conveyancing, thanks to Sophie this process was a lot less stressful than I think it would've been otherwise

5th Jul 2024 (10 weeks ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
