Double check everything you are told by them. They misled us and we ended up over £18000 out of pocket. Avoid this company at all cost. They don’t admit liability for anything they do.

Selling real estate with her and her team was easy from start to finish. Excellent and fast communication with the client, timely assistance in any questions regarding the sale or purchase of real estate. I highly recommend!

Although a High Street office she’s always there 24/7, wouldn’t go anywhere else!- 21st Nov 2024 (7 mo. ago)We had quite a few estate agents out to the house for a valuation but from the minute Scott entered our house and we began to discuss the house and valuation we felt he was honest, approachable and most of all being the sellers of our much loved house he listened. At no time did we feel pressure or an obligation to secure him as our agent. May I also add that when contacting the Glenrothes branch and speaking to the rest of the team they also were very approachable and no amount of questions were to much. I cannot rate Slater, Hogg and Howison highly enough.

6th Feb 2023 (2 years ago)If it was possible, I'd have given Abbey Forth zero stars. Here's my experience with them: The place I rented from Abbey Forth had not been cleaned when I moved in. It was in a disgusting state with several broken fixtures. I took many photos and informed them that, because I was having to clean my new flat, I wouldn't be paying for the place to be professionally cleaned when I moved out. Throughout my year at the property, they were unprofessional and unhelpful when other problems arose: trying to charge me for boiler repairs (a boiler which was leaking on day 1), failing to resolve a drainage issue outside the kitchen door and, worst of all, falling to resolve an infestation of slugs in the kitchen - an obvious health hazard. When I moved out, they unsurprisingly tried to deduct £190 from my deposit for cleaning. I successfully disputed this charge with the deposit scheme, using the pictures and emails I'd sent them over the length of the tenancy. The deposit scheme found that, as the property was not cleaned to a good condition for the start of the tenancy, that I should only having to pay £60 In summary: Abbey Forth is the worst estate agent I've ever used. Rude staff and a general ethos of trying to squeeze money out of tenants for as little effort as possible. Only sign up with them if you are desperate and have no other options. If this is the case, then please make sure you document everything for inevitable struggle to get your deposit back
23rd Apr 2025 (11 weeks ago)**Gross Negligence and Unprofessional Conduct — Landlords Beware** I am acting on behalf of a landlord whose property has been shockingly mismanaged by this agency. Despite more than eight months of rent arrears (unpaid since August 2024), the agency has failed to initiate any legal action, despite having clear grounds for eviction under Scottish tenancy law. Communication has been consistently vague, evasive, and unprofessional. Now, without warning or proper explanation, the agency is attempting to disinstruct itself from managing the property entirely—abandoning its responsibilities at a critical point. Worse still, during a recent phone call, a baseless and defamatory accusation was made against me, which I have categorically denied and am challenging formally. I am in the process of submitting a formal complaint and escalating this matter further. The handling of this tenancy has been nothing short of disgraceful. Landlords should exercise extreme caution before placing their trust—or properties—with this agency.

12th Jan 2025 (26 weeks ago)For health reasons we decided to sell our property and search for a more suited bungalow type and in doing this I came into contact with April Sterling at FFH. As a result of that initial discussion we decided to commence the selling process with FFH. We had not been involved in the property market for 40 years so we were feeling slightly apprehensive. This feeling didn't last for long. From the initial valuation visit with Allan England right through the marketing process and on to the sale of our property we were given all the guidance and assurance we needed from Joanne and her very experienced team. Our visits to the FFH team were always refreshing and each and everyone of them, particularly Stacey, pulled out all the stops to ensure that our house sale was going to be a positive and stress free experience for us. They succeeded. We would certainly recommend FFH.
