6th Aug 2026 (12 weeks ago)Unfortunately, our experience with Housespotters Estate Agents was very disappointing, mainly because of poor communication and a lack of professionalism throughout the process.<br>Before our house was put on the market, Amanda was very confident that she could achieve a certain price for our property. However, our first concern was when the photos were taken using a phone rather than professional camera equipment. Although phone cameras are good these days, the photos did not have the quality we expected for selling a property. When the advert went live, there were too many photos, and some did not show the house in the best way.<br><br>The biggest problem for us was communication. After the first week, it became difficult to get updates. There were very few viewings, and things did not improve while we were with them. Calls often went unanswered, and promised call-backs rarely happened. We often felt like we were chasing them for information rather than being kept updated.<br><br>After around three weeks of frustration, we decided to end our agreement with them. What disappointed us most was that there was no real effort to understand why we wanted to leave. We were simply asked to pay the marketing fee so the property could be taken off the market. Once we paid, the only reply we received was confirmation of payment and a short “good luck” message.<br>After this, I noticed I had been blocked on WhatsApp and social media. I also emailed about removing the “For Sale” sign but received no reply or confirmation that this had been arranged.<br><br>Overall, our experience with Housespotters Estate Agents was very poor. Based on what we experienced, I would not recommend them to others. The level of communication, professionalism and customer service was not what we expected when selling our home.

We can’t thank them enough for their advice and insights regarding the property market and also for their very patient human-focussed approach! They manage to combine absolute professionalism with a very warm and friendly approach. Selling a home can be quite a stressful experience, and both Hamish and Amy were there to support and advise us, answering all our queries and keeping us fully updated from the beginning right through until completion, including organising the surveyor report and photographs. Once we were ‘live’ on the website we had viewings booked almost instantly and a sale agreed within a few weeks. They were an absolute pleasure to work with and we have no hesitation in recommending the Perth office of Strutt and Parker to anyone wanting a smooth selling process with very personally tailored advice. Always had a very friendly and honest feel, particularly Maggie who has been in touch every step of the way. Lovely, professional and personal Estate agents.

The property was marketed appropriately and shared with the most appropriate network of investors, creating substantially more interest that we had before. The property sold fairly quickly. The offer came in 2 days after we went on the market, we were done and dusted within 6. A full debrief after each viewing and good communication by phone, email and text.
