Already booked the day off so fuming at the complete dis regard of this outfit. Completely unprofessional and extremely arrogant in my opinion!!!! Lesson learned!!!

A rushed and flirty viewing, staff corresponding repeatedly to the wrong email address despite us flagging this up twice and consequentially very nearly putting in a rogue offer for £400K from the owner of the other email address. A total joke, incredibly and unnecessarily stressful and successfully put us off the whole idea of buying a home through them. Embarrassingly bad in every way. Awful.
2nd Sep 2026 (8 weeks ago)Eight weeks into the buying process and days from finalising the mortgage application, I was gazumped by another buyer. Throughout this time this agency continued to run viewings on the property when I had been told my offer had been accepted it was off the market. I spend significant time and money moving to get the purchase finalised but the seller/ estate agents decide to gazump me. Very unprofessional service and I would definitely avoid them if you can and go somewhere that sticks to agreed purchase deals.

The communication was great all the way through and the whole team worked hard to ensure that buyers and we as sellers had all the information we needed. The whole process was much smoother than we feared, as the team went above and beyond to keep everyone to the required timescales. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Youngs again.

10th Jul 2025 (1 year ago)We recently began renting a property through your agency. Unfortunately, on the second day of our tenancy, the landlord admitted to H and H agents that he had looked through our windows—an act that constitutes a serious violation of our right to privacy. Following this incident, we mutually agreed to end the tenancy early. However, we have been informed that a full month’s rent will be retained, with the explanation that the landlord’s actions were merely "a quick peek" and therefore not a cause for concern. Regardless of how brief the intrusion was, any unauthorized observation into a tenant’s private space is entirely inappropriate and unacceptable. According to the terms of the tenancy agreement, landlords must provide at least 24 hours’ notice before entering or inspecting the property. If there are concerns regarding the condition of the property, the appropriate course of action is to use the security deposit—not to violate a tenant’s privacy. In our case, the deposit was returned in full. While we acknowledge that we painted the walls without permission to high standard and neutral white colour, this does not in any way justify the landlord’s actions or the withholding of a month’s rent. Due to the seriousness of the privacy breach, I have reported the matter to the police, as it may constitute a criminal offence. I will also be pursuing the matter through civil court to recover the withheld rent. The response from your agency has been disappointing. In particular, a member of your staff, Shirley, laughed when I expressed discomfort over the landlord’s behavior. This dismissive attitude only adds to the distress we have experienced. A Complaint is ongoing but the agents to not seem to have the time to respond within a few days.. Renters deserve to be treated with the same respect and dignity as homeowners. Owning a property does not entitle anyone to disregard the legal and ethical boundaries that protect tenants’ rights , we are not second class citizens..

Learning point for us in selling in future was the first valuation was higher than other agents had valued the home as and, in hindsight, we probably should have questioned that more as we ended up over time needing to knock a chunk of money off and think we’d have sold the house much quicker if the valuation had been closer to what we ended up selling the house for

They dropped prices over a few weekends and gave the impression there was a problem but, the fact we sold it privately within days of making it available elsewhere only goes to show their lack of scruples.

20th Jun 2026 (19 weeks ago)So glad we chose Katrina as our agent. Selling a property can be very stressful but right from the start the enthusiasm and service was beyond. Always available, I don't know how she has any time to herself. Great advice and communication between ourselves and the buyer got things done smoothly. Dan was also fully up to speed on the rare occasion when Katrina couldn't pick up. These guys really put the effort into selling your house.
