Cody Stevens.... absolute gentleman.
Was so much help from the word go. Made me and my girlfriend feel at ease throughout. Every single question was answered no problem and was always asking if there was anything more he could do. Not pushy with us walking around just wanted us to take our time and be happy. Checked measurements when we initially walked round and I managed to lose them but when I asked to meet again he was straight on it, met me again with a smile and was happy to help. This was mine and my partners first house together (rented) and it was stress free. Would recommend Cody to anybody and have mentioned him on multiple occasions since to people at work. Thanks again Cody!

Not over friendly, certain staff members quite patronising, lots of pressure put on me on the day day of my move when I had trouble picking up the keys for my new property. They seemed only concerned about the buyer of my house not myself the vendor and were less than helpful, not even a handshake when I completed the deal.
As experienced property owners who are frequently overseas, we have hit the jackpot with our lovely lettings manager, Joanne Hudson. She is a stand-out professional, courteous, friendly, honest, totally on the ball, meticulous, excellent at follow-through, and keeping us informed. Her pre-letting checks are thorough, and she liaises with tenants well, and respectfully. With Joanne on the job, we have great peace of mind, knowing our property is in the best of hands.
STEER WELL CLEAR!!!
I am unlucky enough to be renting a property from these people. They told me the landlord had agreed to the things I'd asked to be done before I moved in, (a few of these were: to lay new carpets as they were absolutely filled with animal urine, feces and absolutely stank, for the property to be properly cleaned as it was revolting and to properly cover an old well in the rear yard so it was safe), well the landlord hadn't agreed and although he had replaced the entrance passage, main bedroom and dining room carpets albeit badly, he'd left the rest down and in the same disgusting state and he hadn't done any cleaning at all or done anything about the well. Obviously I didn't discover all this until I had signed the tenancy agreement and was at the property to move in with my children and all our belongings. I was absolutely gutted, and when I rang the agents to find out what on earth was going on, she was incredibly rude to me and basically said "it is what it is, he's done more than enough for the rent you're paying" (£600pcm hardly very cheap, especially for out where we are) I was in floods of tears, I couldn't believe it. I then had to spend 5 hours trying to find cleaners available and having them clean the place so our things could be unloaded. If that wasn't bad enough I then discover the electrics aren't safe (amongst a whole lot of other stuff), Bristow Eves response.... "well it's not a legal requirement to have the electrics checked and the landlord is happy that if anything happens to any of you, that he'll deal with it!" Now I know they can not be held responsible for the landlords response but they certainly could of refused to let the property like most agents as it's only through a loophole that it can be avoided, or at the very least of told me when I viewed the place! I've had to get the environmental department involved to try and get the electrics sorted, as neither the landlord nor Bristow Eves are interested what so ever. The property is the worst place I've rented in 23 years and they are by far the worst agents I've ever been unfortunate enough to have. I have long-term serious health issues and the upset and stress it's caused me has made my illness much worse and has also caused me to need antidepressants, and my poor children are miserable being here.
We had been homeless through no fault of my own, for 3 months before moving in here and I wish to goodness we'd stayed that way rather than moving in here and having Bristow Eves as agents, it was a lot less stressful and I certainly wasn't taking flipping happy pills. I'm truly disappointed that such a big company have such a bad work ethic and an utter disregard for people, it appears that all they're interested in is money and are willing to put people's lives at risk both mentally and physically to get it.
I most certainly would not ever recommend using these agents for anything, apart from maybe checking your hair in their windows on your way past!!
It was such a pleasant surprise to find an Estate Agent who actually works hard to try to sell your property and earns their fee. Previous experience over the years of 8 purchase and 7 sales transactions, four of which involving Boston Estate agents, had left us singularly unimpressed with the whole profession.
I can only praise the team at the Boston office. Communication, which was at a considerable distance because we don't now live in the UK, was excellent. The house was sold very quickly, though the first buyer pulled out through no fault of ours or the estate agent - but that's the UK way of buying and selling - make it as stressful as possible, and it's high time this was changed. A new buyer was found within a week and now all is done and dusted.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Newton Fallowell to anyone looking to sell or buy.
Extremely unprofessional hugely let down by the manager
