I have moved house many times and used various estate agents. The service provided by Pygott was by far the best experience I’ve ever had, agent Joe McKue in particular was extremely professional, very knowledgable and I never felt like a burden to him with all my questions!
It’s safe to say I’ll only be using them, and hopefully him, in the future!

We have experienced extremely long delays and very poor communication throughout this process. We have been waiting since 6 October to complete on our house, with little to no meaningful progress. We were told that the case had been escalated to a senior case worker, but nothing changed and no improvements were made. Updates were minimal and often required chasing, which added unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Whilst looking for an estate agent, we viewed the Pygott & Crone website and came across the advice page. As advised we contacted three agents to come and give us a valuation. Pygott & Crone came up the most realistic valuation and followed up afterwards. We said that we would make a decision over the weekend. Davis was straight on the phone Monday morning and we gave him the good news. Upon signing the contract on the Wednesday, Davis said he had a couple who may be interested. Viewed the following day, accepted the offer on the Friday. Sold before the for sale board went up and marketed online. We now get weekly updates on where we are in the process. Great job, great team of people and a very professional company. Well done you guys!

I recently purchased a property from the Boston branch..awful team.holly took 3 days to reply to an offer I placed to purchase a property...then when I did purchase, the buyers were advised to delete the listing and re sell it for a better price...wow ..this was after 2 months of going through the process...this should be illegal and Sam and holly should be both sacked.i had to phone and chase up every week .. absolutely shocking business.i sold my property through this company but used the Grantham branch and they were outstanding.kept me upto date and no funny business.its a shame gazumping was encouraged from a normally high respectable company..do not use them.

Everyone tells you buying or selling a house is a stressful event, but nothing prepared me for buyers pulling out of their alleged purchase not once but three separate buyers at the last minute. The UK laws are archaic. Had it not been for the professional handling of the situation each time by the team at Pygott & Crone I could have been driven to despair. Their tenacity, their guidance, their never give in approach was superb, especially Joe McKue, a star.

We had a property to sell owing to a family bereavement, complicated by the fact that we live a 2 hour drive away . P and C gave us good market advice , handled all the viewings and the property was sold subject to contract in 3 weeks . We appointed their recommended solicitors to carry out the conveyancing . This turned out to be pivotal when we had some complications further down the chain . Sam , at P and C worked closely with the solicitors to ensure things continued to progress. She was a star ! Their communication was excellent , all phone calls were answered quickly with the relevant information. The staff in the office were very helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend them as estate agents .

We had our house on the market for nearly a year with another agent, switched to Pygotts, x2 viewings within the first couple of weeks and x2 offers. One of which was the asking price! I truly believe this is down to the efforts of Pygotts from the way they advertise, to their professionalism, to the customer services they offer etc. Will never use anyone for any future house sales!

Having very recently had a few
"we sell any house" or have suit can sell brigade" senior residential valuers arrive to carry out an appraisal at our property
Pygott being one in fairness there all cut from the same cloth and enroll in the school for scoundrels to receive there deploma
I've come to the conclusion they all failed in there first occupation as stand up comedians sad but true they've experienced the audience heckling & threw in the towel
They've taken up the estate agent racket & assume there stale stand up routine is funny
It's embarrassing to watch
They assume were as obtuse as they are, just smile politely
& think what there third occupation might be

The team tirelessly kept offering us properties and arranging countless viewings. Although we ended up completing the purchase through another real estate agent, the 5-star review goes specifically to Pygott & Crone. Special shout out to Joe for his patience and competence level????.

Everyone I met and spoke to at Pygott and Crone was extremely helpful and friendly, also very patient.
At the beginning I had various questions and worries, mainly about the legal paperwork, infinitely more complicated since my last move. They explained everything clearly despite it not really being part of their remit.
Also at the end when the solicitors needed a real push.
I would definitely use them again. ( Although all the legal paperwork has made me vow never to move again.)
Not so for Stonebow. I have to say that, in my opinion, Stonebow was pretty useless.
Very poor with their communications and on several occasions my responses to direct questions were obviously unread. The Tracker thing was also a waste of time.

Our review is a bit late as it has taken over a month to get the Internet connected correctly to our new property but we would like to say that the whole team at Pygott & Crone were exceptionally friendly and professional at all times. They helped with any problems we had promptly and efficiently even though our buyer made things very difficult at times. At no time were any of the team rude or ill mannered with us. Would definitely use this office again should the need arise.

Pretty disgusted with the Boston people in this Agency. I made a booking on 3rd March to view a property on Monday 7th which meant we would travel for 4 hours to make the reluctantly given time of 3pm. Late Sunday afternoon (6th) I happened to take another look at the property as shown on Rightmove and found it was listed as 'Sold subject to Contract' - Pygott & Crone don't work on a Sunday so that must have happened on Saturday 5th, but they didn't have the decency to let me know either by phone, email or even text. My wife and I could easily have spent 8 hours in the car, wasted goodness knows how many gallons of petrol and paid for our overnight Monday hotel only to find out at 3pm on Monday the property had been sold.
That is an appalling way to run a business and shows what they really think of potential customers. My recommendation is 'Don't use them, they'll probably cost you money'

The gentleman, if you can call him that was extremely rude on every single occasion that I spoke with him. He had a bit of a god complex and thought he knew better than everyone else.
I dealt with him on 2 different properties and each time he called me a liar. On the 2nd property I spoke with him about he also spoke to my estate agent who said the exact same thing and he even called her a liar, so I know it wasn't just me.
There were definitely dodgy things happening with my offers as he must have spoken badly about me to the vendors as an offer higher than another buyer was turned down even though we were in the same position as the other buyer.
I wouldn't touch these guys with a barge pole and won't ever contact them about properties they have for sale as they cannot be trusted. Buyers beware.

We had originally decided to go with Pygott & Crone after being very impressed with Davis Gurton when looking at a house in Boston. We then made the wrong decision and went with a local firm, which was a disastrous mistake. We switched to Davis at Pygott & Crone, and from day one their honesty and professionalism shone through. The sales details, photos, and video were excellent quality, all the staff were knowledgable and helpful, and they found us the perfect buyers.
The sale went through very smoothly and quickly, and our buyers commented on how excellent Pygott & Crone were. We have moved many times, and this was easily the best experience we have had. I cannot recommend Pygott & Crone highly enough.

Piss poor. Once we got our offer excepted, their attitudes changed overnight. We discovered loads of things they stated about the property were lies to push the sale and it reminded me of a dodgy second hand car sales. One woman that shall remain unnamed was particularly unhelpful, had a poor attitude and put the phone down on us when she didn't hear what she wanted. (Thank God she's put her notice in) This was just our buying experience, I wouldn't trust them selling thimbles, let alone houses.
