From the very start, we’ve been looked after by Rebecca, and it’s been her who we’ve dealt with for practically everything. I’d like to highlight her professionalism and how quickly she responds to emails and any queries that arise.
We’ve also spoken to another member of the team – I’m not sure of her name – who, just like Rebecca, has always been very attentive and helpful.

Kev who showed me around went above and beyond and with my situation helped me feel confident and safe in my desision. Mark has been such a joy, really friendly and helpful. Nothing has been too much for the team. Their knowledge of the area and the personnel touch when I was unsure of what I needed to do next was outstanding. The property was a little gem and I would definitely used Savidge and Brown again and would recommend them in an instant. Thank you so much

ONE STAR IS TOO MANY!!
Our experience as buyers of a property marketed by Savills has left us with absolutely no confidence in them whatsoever.
We entered this purchase believing the vendors were involved in a normal onward property purchase. What we subsequently discovered was that they were actually buying a new-build property that had not yet been built.
That distinction was rather important to us. Had we understood the true position and the potential timescale from the outset, it could have materially affected our decisions.
Instead, we ultimately spent NINE MONTHS in rented accommodation waiting for the vendors to move.
During the process we were given the impression by the Savills selling agent that the vendors could move into rented accommodation or stay with family. Yet when the delays continued, we were subsequently told they could not do so.
As buyers, it felt as though the reality of the situation kept changing depending upon what was necessary to keep the transaction together.
Then came the fridge freezer.
The property had been marketed to us at a fixed price, with no offers, and there was an integrated fridge freezer housed within the fitted kitchen cabinetry. We were subsequently told that the vendor intended to remove it.
We disputed this.
After raising the issue, the Savills agent told us that she had sorted the dispute and that the fridge freezer WOULD BE STAYING.
After everything we had already endured, we relied upon that assurance.
Nine months after entering temporary accommodation, we finally completed, collected the keys and walked into our new home.
The integrated fridge-freezer housing was empty.
The appliance we had specifically disputed, and which we had specifically been told would remain, had been removed.
That neatly sums up our experience.
An estate agent acts for the seller—we fully understand that. What we expect, however, is for information given to prospective buyers to be clear, accurate and reliable. Buyers make enormous financial and practical decisions based upon what they are told during a property transaction.
We sold our home, moved into rented accommodation, paid the associated costs, waited nine months and ultimately purchased this property. We therefore had every right to expect straightforward communication.
Instead, our experience left us feeling that the seller’s interests were protected while we, as buyers, were expected simply to absorb whatever changed along the way.
I would certainly not trust verbal assurances from Savills again.
If you are buying a property through them, my advice based on our experience is simple:
Get EVERYTHING in writing.
Do not rely upon conversations about the vendor’s circumstances. Do not rely upon assurances about timescales. Do not rely upon statements about what is being left at the property. Have anything important confirmed formally through your solicitor before you make decisions or incur costs based upon it.
Perhaps our experience would have felt very different had we been the vendors. From a seller’s perspective, having an agent fight relentlessly for your interests may be exactly what you want.
But as buyers, we came away feeling managed rather than informed.
After nine months in rented accommodation and finally arriving at a house with an empty space where the integrated fridge freezer we had specifically been assured would remain should have been, I think that feeling is entirely understandable.
I would never choose to buy a property marketed by this Savills office again.

1st Nov 2025 (1 year ago)Well it all started good. Then when you try to phone, your call constantly goes to voicemail. They say they return all calls, well this was not the case. At the end of the 16 week contract we split with Woodward. We thought going for a small local company would be a good idea, this was unfortunately a bad idea. We did not sell, when was got the keys returned, rather than talk to us, to have any feedback, literally they posted the keys through the letterbox and ran off. Bad experience in general. I would not recommend.
3rd Nov 2026 (4 days ago)We were very pleased with the service we received. They found us buyers quickly and negotiated a really good price for our home, which was a great start.
Communication became more limited once the solicitors became involved, but they did a lot of chasing behind the scenes and worked hard to keep things moving, particularly when it came to getting us to exchange. Their persistence and efforts at that stage were very much appreciated.
Overall, we were happy with the service and would recommend them.

The only contact I had from my agent was to push for the price to be lowered.
I decided to list with a dual agent and the property was sold in a few weeks.

Nothing was too much trouble and they have saved me a few trips south. Emanda was extremely kind and empathetic to my situation whilst being professional at all times.
