Really lovely people to speak to and deal with, made what's been a stressful flat hunt a big relief at the end. David at B&S gave excellent customer service, we stayed in touch through him with the sellers throughout the whole process which made things much easier. David always responded to queries and chased all solicitors involved promptly. David was friendly, professional and trustworthy. Highly recommend.
29th Feb 2024 (9 weeks ago)Terrible agency. Stay away. They let out a flat where the boiler wasn't working from day one of the tenancy. When a call out was made at the weekend on Saturday I was told that it was not an emergency and not having ANY heating/ hot water during Winter with a 3 year old living in the house didn't classify as an emergency so the contractor would only be sent on the Monday, which they then did.

Kay took a (refreshing) relationship-based approach to getting to know us, our needs and didn't push us into purchasing his listed properties. 10th Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)We used Oakwood to sell a property for probate reasons. Jay came to provide a valuation and guidance as to the process. Dan then became involved in the viewings - we weren't local so he handled all of this. With the realistic valuation and a good posting on their website including great pictures, the house sold very quickly. During the remainder of the process we got regular contact from both Jay and Dan and if we had any questions or left messages they were very prompt in responding. All in all they were terrific and made the whole thing a lot easier for us as a family. Would highly recommend

18th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
20th Feb 2024 (10 weeks ago)Excellent lettings, horrible tenancy management. I rented my apartment in 2020 through 'Reliable Homes' which was later acquired by 'Drivers & Norris'. After this acquisition, getting a reply from the agency on any non-emergency issue became a test of patience, though to their credit they would 'eventually' get the issue resolved. Few times this became extremely stressful, for example when it took me 6 months and several emails, including notices of formal complaint to the The Property Ombudsman, to get my tenancy deposit back after vacating the apartment in a perfectly fine condition.

He has been superb in the sale of our house and went above and beyond to ensure that our sale went ahead. From the beginning to the end he has had a positive outlook. On our viewings he was bright and bubbly and ensured that the viewers were made aware of the benefits of our property,. When we eventually agreed a sale we had a long process due to the fact that the buyers held up matters, however Rhys would always be pressing to try and speed up the process and always kept us up to date and informed. At one stage our buyer went abroad, Rhys was on calls to our buyer at 1030 at night trying to deal with their queries in an attempt to push our sale through. We can’t thank Rhys enough for what he did for us. He is a real credit to his trade and we would throughly recommend using him to friends and family. Again thank you Rhys Henry
