24th Aug 2023 (3 years ago)Excellent estate agent - Brandon was exemplary with his help along the process of buying a property from them. His professionalism and communication was outstanding. As we were moving from Lincolnshire, Brandon went out of his way to support and help us with, not only the purchase but also local information/tradesmen etc. Would have no reservations in recommending Roy Barrett Eastgate agents.
4th Feb 2025 (1 year ago)Very friendly and easy to get hold of. They communicate well with you. Had a very quick sale. Slighter higher commission than a lot of local companies but worth it for the attention and care.

4th Jul 2025 (1 year ago)Don't recommend this estate agents, my building was put up for sale and we - the tenants were told we would not be evicted, also in the property listing - 'to be sold with tenants in situ' , the estate agents lied and i was thrown out of my flat - which i had lived in since 1998, as so many people i have had contact with these past months have said 'clearly no loyalty from estate agents & landlord, amongst other things they have said - but such words not to be repeated, in-between being thrown out of my flat i had a knee replacement and the recovery from this has been set back by months . The Judge reading the papers said 'Claimants did not have reasonable reason for repossession' , but another judge in the community court clearly been given a backhander from the landlord & his representatives and wasn't interested in what i had to say, once again sharing my experience with others - including some lovely caring organisations who have been there for me these past months were far from impressed and as the saying goes - the wealthy with their money always wins. I had blocked this estate agents phone numbers and that has worked, i also blocked their email address but discovered emails from them in my Spam section - i read one which was unbelievable - i am not having my deposit back as they want to use it for court costs !!!! , apart from the fact the interest from the money given back in 1998 would pay easily those costs, i wasn't the one taking it to court, it was Mr Bully Cartwright & Estate Agents, my bank statements would had shown i have no money, but they are happy to try take money off me. The treatment these past months from all of those parties had left me suicidal, leaving family & friends very concerned. Hopefully changes to how tenants are treated in the future will come about, making it much harder for estate agents & landlords to throw people out without a genuine reason . At the end of the day - none of what happened was any my fault and that has been made very clear to me - i can hold my head up knowing that .
29th Mar 2023 (3 years ago)Spencer's maintained an excellent partnership throughout each n every enquiry from commications to negotiations to finalising Exchange and Completion dates. Losing the first chain to a developer pulling out at the exchange jaws was a setback but did not reduce the optimism of the Spencer's team if Mark, Will, Matt, Abigail and Christy. The market experienced a slight reduction at this time with a slowing of demand so we reviewed our sales strategies and felt a price reduction was necessary. Ultimately this tactic proved very successful, with the Spencer's teaming finding many potential buyers with many offers as one proved very satisfactory to a successful Exchange date after many delays along the way, with Spencers assisting in chasing Agents, Buyers, Solicitors along the way Thank you for your excellent service you provided to us; potentially the Best Estate Agents in Dorset.

20th May 2026 (17 weeks ago)Arranged to view a property, (which I did go and view), I liked the property and asked if i could give a holding fee. The reply was, 'Go away and have a coffee and think about it.' Well I had thought about it and I wanted to give a holding fee as soon as possible. The lady I spoke to, Victoria had an awful attitude on the phone. She asked me in a very disrespectful way to stop calling and emailing as she will get back to me. I was only calling and emailing as I wanted to hold the property. She told me that she has to contact the landlords and would get back to me the next day. What they seem to do is present the landlords with a selection of possible tenants, and then the landlords 'chat about it overnight' to decide who they 'like the most'. Which in my opinion, is discrimination. Also the agents, don't get back to you very promptly with the outcome. Had to call and email multiple times and felt as if I was harassing as I was told previously to stop calling and emailing. I was disheartened as I really wanted to rent the property and felt like I was overall, discriminated against. Its like your auditioning for the x-factor for goodness sake! Overall, very unprofessional, would avoid at all costs, rude staff and not helpful.

4th Oct 2025 (11 mo. ago)Have found this letting agent to be helpful and very knowledgable when helping us navigate through the legislation and rules that need to be followed when letting out a property. The office always return my call and are happy and courteous. Everything is just nice and easy. Steph keeps it all ticking along nicely and I’m really happy to be using them. Highly recommend when needing property rented or sold in or around Wimborne.

Only negative on the day the house should of been taken off with Wilson Tominey David on holiday and none of the other staff thought to take it off. Would recommend to others for a cheaper property not 1 of our calibre.
