29th May 2026 (22 days ago)Our house had been on the market for a number of months with another agent before I did some further research and decided to go with Avenue Estates. With the previous estate agent, we often felt like just another number on their books. Viewings were very slow, and we didn’t feel we received well-rounded or particularly helpful feedback afterwards. After several months, I decided to look for another agent. Our experience with Dominic from Avenue Estates was completely different. His communication was consistently excellent, and he kept us updated throughout the entire process. He secured a much steadier flow of viewings and was always thoughtful with timings, understanding that we had young children and were often working from home. He would send feedback almost immediately after each viewing, and it was always exceptionally thorough, which we really appreciated. Towards the end of the process, there were a number of issues involving the sellers’ solicitors, but Dominic maintained excellent communication between ourselves, the buyers, the sellers, and the solicitors. He made what could have been a very stressful situation feel far more manageable. I’ve already recommended Dominic to others I know who are planning to sell, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him again.

15th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)Ella and Kamerron looked after the sale of my mum’s bungalow and were so kind and attentive. Kamerron took some amazing photos of the bungalow and they both kept me informed of every viewing with detailed feedback and brilliantly negotiated the sale, so both parties were happy. It completed with no problems and I just hope they are both still working there when I put my house on the market as I would not trust anyone else to look after me to such a high standard. 2nd Jun 2026 (18 days ago)The flat was over-valued by £30,000. Our contact left the company and we were not informed or told who our new primary contact was. Only 3 viewings in 9 months. One viewing was cancelled but we were not told so we sat here like ninnies for 20 minutes waiting for the door bell. The notice period was 28 days (most others are 14 or 21 days) and they insisted we see that out despite it being obvious we were unhappy with their service. The commission was a set fee but as the price was reduced, that became much greater than the industry standard 1%. The flat didn't sell through A&W so we have engaged another estate agent.

Grace Bennet is absolutely lovely, took us for our viewing and kept up with us, updating us at all of milestones along the way. Shahob Sayaran is probably THE most helpful, proactive, and hands-on manager I have encountered both professionally and personally. Everything from helping our elderly vendor print and complete paper work, to escorting him to his solicitor so that the final pieces of paper work can be signed and always being just a few dial tones away, he truly has been exceptional throughout the whole process and we could not thank him enough. Joshua Lewis is the Countrywide mortgage advisor currently residing in the Canford Heath Palmer Snell branch. We couldn't have asked for a more knowledgeable, helpful or enthusiastic advisor. If you have any doubts at all, he is absolutely worth every penny. We have always been greeted with a smile and warm voice at the end of the phone (no matter annoying we (me) may have got). Simon exhibited excellent local knowledge and prepared a professional marketing package that accurately reflected the property. Sol, his business partner was diligent showing prospective purchasers the property. His feedback following each visit was first class. Overall, I was very impressed with the perseverance of the team at Simon and Co. A friendly and professional organisation that is thoroughly recommended.

5th Jun 2026 (15 days ago)If you’re looking to rent a room in a shared house, I would avoid MK Estates. I moved into the property in February and, during my viewing, specifically asked whether all tenants were working and not receiving benefits. Sadly, this has not been the case at all. The contract states that WiFi is included and that cleaners attend the property once every 2 weeks. However, I’ve had no WiFi for two months, and cleaners have only attended twice during the entire time I’ve lived here. I also discovered rats in the property and was met with the response: “What makes you think there are rats in the property?” — as though it’s something I would make up, despite having seen them in the kitchen. When I called regarding the WiFi, I was spoken to as though my concerns weren’t being taken seriously. I was told, “It’s odd that you’re the only one without WiFi,” even after I explained that the other tenants also had no WiFi but simply hadn’t reported it. I explained that the issue appeared to be with the router, only to be told an electrician would be sent out, which left me confused as to how that would resolve a router issue. Both myself and another tenant have hot water running at temperatures high enough to burn skin. Someone was sent out to inspect it, but the issue still hasn’t been resolved. Responses to emails are extremely limited, and callbacks rarely happen when promised. However, they seem quick enough to send repeated emails when it benefits them. Overall, my experience has been disappointing due to poor maintenance, lack of communication, and unresolved safety concerns. Dear MK Estates, As I am unable to reply directly to your response, I will be adding my comments to my review. I do recall calling and informing you who the individual in the property was. While you state that you are a non-discriminatory business, I would like to make it clear that I have not taken offence to this individual because they receive benefits. My concern has always been that this person appears to be experiencing significant mental health difficulties and requires urgent support. This became my concern when I was receiving knocks on my door from this individual at all hours and spending considerable amounts of time with her to ensure she was safe. You state that her circumstances are none of my business, but when her behaviour directly impacts my daily life and wellbeing, it inevitably becomes my concern. It also raises questions about the duty of care being exercised towards a vulnerable tenant. It became even more concerning when ambulance staff attended the property and knocked on my door regarding this tenant. Given these circumstances, I struggle to understand how this situation can be described as "exemplary." I became aware of this information because the individual disclosed it to me herself, which I then passed on to you. The ongoing issues surrounding this situation were a significant factor in my decision to vacate the property early. Regarding the Wi-Fi, it was still not functioning correctly as of last Sunday. I have yet to check whether this has now been resolved. With regard to the cleaning arrangements, I fully understand that the property is not a hotel. However, I can confidently say that cleaners do not attend every week as stated in your email. In fact, if you refer to your own policy, it states that cleaning takes place every two weeks. Even then, the cleaning schedule does not appear to be consistently followed. If you choose to respond to this, I would appreciate it if you addressed the concerns raised rather than attempting to portray me as the problem. I have video evidence supporting the issues I have reported, and other tenants can confirm that I have no personal issue with the individual concerned. My concern has always been that she appears to need professional support and assistance that is not being adequately addressed within a house-share environment. Kind regards, Lisa
