   My husband and I put our house on the market with Richard Watkins in Radcliffe on Trent and were tied into a 14-week sole agency agreement. After 12 weeks, with no progress, we asked for our property to be removed from the market.<br><br>During that time, we received no offers, very little communication, and virtually no feedback from viewings. We were never approached to discuss changing the marketing strategy, reviewing the photographs or advert, or considering any other ideas to help generate more interest. It felt as though our sale had simply been left to drift until WE had to ask what was going on and what changes could be made.<br><br>Ultimately, we decided to change agents and within less than 48 hours of our property going back on the market, we had received and accepted an offer—a stark contrast!!!<br><br>One of the viewers who had originally viewed our property through Richard Watkins even returned to view with our new agent. We were told that they said they had only ever received one attempted phone call asking for feedback after their original viewing, which was very disappointing to hear as Richard Watkins ensured us their approach was to ring viewers three times to gain feedback.<br><br>We understand that no estate agent can guarantee a sale, and the property market can be unpredictable. However, what we do expect is regular communication, honest feedback, and a proactive approach. Sadly, that wasn’t our experience.<br><br>The delays ultimately meant we missed out on purchasing what we believed would have been our forever home, making the experience even more upsetting.<br><br>Before leaving this review, I contacted Richard Watkins directly to share our experience in the hope that the feedback would help improve their service. My email was honest and constructive, but unfortunately I never received a reply.<br><br>Since then, I’ve spoken to other people in the village and some have shared similar experiences with the Radcliffe branch. While I can only speak for our own experience, it was disappointing to hear.<br><br>It’s such a shame because Radcliffe on Trent is a close-knit community, and we genuinely felt let down. Selling your home is deeply personal—it’s not just another business transaction. We expected communication, guidance and a proactive approach throughout the process, but unfortunately that wasn’t what we received.<br><br>I haven’t written this review to criticise for the sake of it or to damage anyone’s reputation. I’ve written it in the hope that honest feedback leads to positive change, so future clients receive the level of communication, guidance and support that we felt was missing.<br><br>Based on our experience, I would encourage anyone considering Richard Watkins to think carefully before instructing them. If you do choose them, be prepared to chase regularly for updates rather than expecting proactive communication.... Read more

   Disorganised viewing and poor customer experience We visited a property through Tanners Properties Nottingham, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The agent arrived late, and multiple groups were allowed to view the property at the same time. It felt more like an auction than a proper viewing, with no structure or consideration for individual applicants. The agent made little effort to engage—there was no proper introduction, no guidance during the viewing, and he simply stood aside while people walked around. At the end, he briefly mentioned the application process, which involves completing forms that go very deep into personal details. I understand background checks are necessary, but the level of information requested felt excessive and intrusive. It’s also surprising that a company operating this way doesn’t manage proper appointment slots or a more professional system. Background checks could easily be handled through established services like Experian or ClearScore, rather than putting all the burden on applicants. It gave the impression they are trying to cut costs at the expense of customer experience. Although the property itself was good, the service was poor enough that we decided not to proceed.     Lesley Hreaves Estate agents in Gedling Village were excellent. Friendly, Efficientand always happy to discuss progress. There were always viewers to look at the house every week but to begin with these maybe not the right people as they hadn’t done their homework with regards to layout. We reduced the price which immediately found the exact buyer for the house, who really want it and appreciate what it offers. Great result in 6 weeks.     Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience for viewing “3 Lupin Close, Edwalton, Nottingham, NG12 4HU” on Saturday June 27th 2026<br><br>I had a viewing appointment booked for 2:45 pm, so I left home on time. Due to unexpected traffic, I realised I might be 5–10 minutes late. At around 2:40 pm, I called the Holden Copley office to inform them that I would arrive between 2:50 pm and 2:55 pm. I was assured that this was absolutely fine, that the team would be informed, and I was advised to continue to the property.<br><br>I arrived at 2:55 pm, rang the doorbell, and waited outside for around five minutes, assuming someone might still be inside. When nobody answered, I called the office again, only to be told that the sales executive had already left after waiting just two minutes, until approximately 2:47 pm, because his diary was “very busy.”<br><br>What makes this even more frustrating is the complete double standard. Only last week, when viewing another one of their property (14 Autumn Close, West Bridgford, Nottingham, NG2 7YL, on Monday 22nd June), their own sales executive arrived 15 minutes late. On that occasion, I patiently waited outside in the hot afternoon sun with my 5 and 8-year-old children, and I even had to cancel an important office meeting because of their delay. I accepted it without complaint because I understood that delays can happen.<br><br>However, yesterday when I informed them in advance that I would be delayed by no more than 10 minutes, they couldn’t extend the same basic courtesy. Instead, the appointment was effectively cancelled after waiting just two minutes, despite the office knowing exactly when I would arrive.<br><br>To make matters worse, when I requested that the sales executive return to the property, I was spoken to in a dismissive and rude manner. I was repeatedly told that his diary was “very busy” and that he would not be coming back. There was no apology, no attempt to resolve the situation, and no appreciation for the time I had spent travelling.<br><br>This is not how customers should be treated. If you expect clients to accommodate your delays, you should be willing to show the same flexibility when customers communicate honestly and courteously in advance. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and complete disregard for customer time have left me extremely disappointed. Based on this experience, I would seriously question whether Holden Copley genuinely values its customers.... Read more

    I was issued a section 21 eviction notice by my landlady, who decided she wanted to sell the property I rented, via Frank Innes. They were not only apologetic but immediately started helping me to find a new home. I must thank Ellie and Molly for their friendly and expert support in making my move much less stressful. They kept me informed throughout on what was happening with the flat I was moving into and were always willing to let me view the property before moving in. I also found the sales team equally friendly and professional. Before the move they would ask if prospective buyers of the house could view at a time that suited me.
