We had a fantastic experience with Belvoir recently when finding and securing our new home. We initially communicated with Gill when viewing and applying for the house - she was absolutely incredible and we can’t thank her enough. She was always there to answer any questions we had and she went above and beyond for us. After securing our home, we spoke with Katie and arranged to collect the keys from the office. Again, the service was above and beyond, with Katie staying after office closing hours so we could sign our documents as we have funny working hours.
Belvoir have been amazing and we would absolutely recommend them!

Very unhelpful rude and discriminating staff and policy's... I been looking for a house to rent in melton for 7 months.. as me and my house mate want to move to the area for health reasons.. and to get away from a big city of Birmingham.. we are both on universal credit at the min and want to work over that way.. and have been applying f9r work that way.. but as we dont live close have been turned down..and want to work asap.. but when we called Belvoir to try get a viewing of a house the lady on the phone told me to get a job then they would help.. I can't get a job till I'm in melton.. and when my dad called up the lady on the phone told him its there policy that they only help people that are working.. she was rude to me and to my dad...I am going to look into this as I feel its not right l.. and it's discriminating.. no other letting agent in melton have said the same.. they just don't want to help... so unhelpful don't bother with them

I have today completed on the sale of my mum's property in Melton Mowbray. Alex Morrell has handled the sale from the beginning and throughout the process has been extremely helpful, kind and considerate. I have really appreciated this as I don't live locally and Alex has often gone out of his way to help me out with things like meter readings etc. Communication at all times has been excellent and I would definitely recommend the Belvoir team, and especially Alex, for their professionalism and honesty. A difficult process has been made a lot easier for myself and my mother.

Being relatively new to the need of renting a property I must say that dealing with the Melton branch of Belvoir properties has easy. This is in main due to the professional and helpful way the staff guided us through the entire process of renting a property from the initial viewing to moving in. Hopefully we will not come across any issues during our tenancy but if we do then I am confident that Belvoir will deal with with these.

Initially they were really good and would move heaven and earth to help you. This was when I rented a few years ago.
Fast forward to the end of the tenancy and they will fight tooth and nail to keep every penny of the deposit. They give you a list of what they regard as required work and as chance would have it, the "required work" added up to the exact amount of the deposit.
If you're going to rent from these cowboys, read the reviews first - not from the landlords who have a financial interest in bigging up Belvoir, but previous tennants.
From liaising with a few current tennants I can confirm there have been zero changes.
My advice? Rent directly from the landlord rather than the agent

Renting currently with this company, amongst the many issues the main one being they entered my home without my permission while I was at work.
Please ensure you read your tenancy. I still have the emails where I was told I had to clean the communal areas as per my tenancy, no such thing written anywhere.
Have reported repairs that have taken months. I reported nails sticking out of the floor under the carpet. It’s been three months and this has not been fixed.

My journey with Belvoir started in September 2021 when I was on the look out for a new property after having left my first home under difficult circumstances. I was moving to a new areas and wasn't sure of what agents were around. I went to Google to search best agents in the area and Belvoir came up top. I now know why. I called to introduce myself and explain what I was looking for and my affordability. I was put through to Alex Morrell. Alex was very patient, helpful and friendly, unlike any agents service I had come across before. At the time, there wasn't anything available in my price range as the market was very competitive. However, Alex did make me aware of a possible tendered property that was due to be coming to market in a few months time and agreed to keep me in the loop. A few months passed and In the time I dealt with several other agents with possible properties. All of which were not a patch on Alex's service at Belvoir. Alex did as he promised and alerted me in December when the property was due to come onto the market. We agreed a date between Christmas and New Year that I could go to view. He kindly had also saved me the first viewing slot. Upon viewing the property, it was everything I had dreamed of. I placed my offer , as did others. My offer was accepted. There wasn't a long drawn out fight like I had previously experienced to win the property, everything was honest and done with integrity. I was delighted. From that moment forward everything was a breeze, easy, and transparent accompanied with the friendliness service. House moves can be stressful and depending on your situation emotional too. Alex and the team at Belvoir made it an experience I will always remember. I have now received my keys for my new home to start my next chapter, April 2022. Agents move people daily, but for us movers, it's life changing. I wouldn't have found my home that I hope to make many happy memories, with my son, without Alex and the team at Belvoir. I recently purchased a property using Belvoir. The purchase of the property was facilitated by Alex. He was polite, professional and helpful throughout the whole process.
Alex was proactive and organised responding quickly to requests and questions. Importantly he acted on them, organising repairs on the property before exchange. He even took pictures of the repair to save me travelling to the property.
At no point during the process did I feel pressure. There was a constant friendly, welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
I would highly recommend using Belvoir.

Belvoir lettings is only interested to take your money, once you finish your tenencey they drag their heels to refund the deposit.
STAY AWAY from them. They don’t care for tennent only your money.

Renting - everything it's nice when you move in, but when you need something to be repaired or when you vacate the property and need to get you're deposit back - it's a different story. It was a million better with a private landlord - from my experience ;)

All of the team were extremely helpful during the whole process. My partner and I moved into our first rental property via Belvoir and it could not have gone smoother. They are all always willing to help with anything you need and I honestly could not say a bad thing about them. Whilst looking for properties in the area we enquired with other agencies (not to be named) and Belvoir completely put them to shame. Their service is second to none. Polite and full of good intentions but my house was left in a terrible state. The tenants refused to leave when I came to look at it after a period of belvoir ''managing" the property and was shocked at how I found it. Numerous cigarette ends found in the attic (non smoking tenant apparently according to the references) and these were balanced on an ash tray next to the insulation (!), garden left to ruin and rest of the house was in a state that was not rentable again until it had been gutted. Numerous court letters for unpaid rent and damage were all dealt with by belvoir but I felt that if they'd have managed it properly in the first place, none of this would have happened. I ended up losing money overall and felt that, whilst the tennants were in the house, belvoir did the bare minimum and happily pocketed the money from me for managing it. Tenants were far from ideal and this could happen to anyone but how they never picked up on the deterioration was beyond me. Feedback I had was always so positive, the reality was far from it.

Over the last 12 years Belvoir Lettings has found us 3 very good tenants. The communication through telephone or e-mail (as we live abroad) has always been courteous, helpful and friendly. The company ruined my life. When I came back my house was destroyed by a single parent and her trib of kids. And when I asked for compensation they said take us to court. I moved back two years ago and I'm still rebuilding the damage. Financial they ruined me I have had 3 jobs just to keep a roof over my head. Worst company I have ever dealt with and I was paying them and trusting they with my property.

These agents are a Nightmare!!! Please, please, please avoid them at all costs if you know what's good for you!! Firstly, they invent all kinds of 'problems' not to give you your deposit back when you leave their property, and even worse than that, they get you evicted if you improve the property because they know the the owner then can make more money!!! Tell everyone you know, because this is the truth about what happened to us!!
