Selman Lettings handled the property well from the start, with the house being clean and ready when the keys were handed over. They were also helpful in arranging repairs shortly after moving in to address initial issues. During my time in the property, they were easy to contact and responsive in organising a handyman to attend and resolve issues with the heating system and boiler. A minor suggestion would be that, on a couple of occasions, initial requests for assistance were met with a recommendation to try resolving the issue myself. Please be wary of them when it comes to checking out of a property. I rented a flat for 6 years, never missed a months rent and always paid on time. During my final year, agent explained landlord wanted to sell property so I naturally co-operated with them to accommodate flat inspection and viewings. Unfortunately, for agent/landlord they couldn't get a buyer or many viewings for that matter. I continued to rent for remainder of my tenancy but decided it was time to move on as there were numerous issues with flat that landlord didn't want to spend money on. Jump forward to check out and agent wanted bulk of my deposit from a tenant that has rented their property for 6 years. Naturally, there would be some fair wear and tear through normal, everyday use. And to cap it all off, the landlord has put the property back on the market for sale. So please be very wary of this outfit who suddenly go very quiet and don't want to take your calls when you are just wanting to find out why you have not had your deposit returned having vacated the property.
