17th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.

16th Apr 2024 (5 weeks ago)Awful service do not recommend, put a holding deposit on a property , then got asked to get a guarantor or a month upfront rent said we'll do the month rent a month then turned into a years rent which is ridiculous then went down to 6 months again a lot of money to find so went with a guarantor then get an email from rightmove saying passed referencing and our contract is being written and to start looking for insurance and broadband luckily I didn’t pay for any of that. Thought haven’t heard from estate agent in a while so gave them a call to find out what’s going on, they’ve given the property to someone else and didn’t even think to let us know so now have got to start again on our property search and has been a waste of time and doubt we’ll get our holding deposit back

Calls were never returned when messages were left and when we did get through to them, they were surely in their attitude. No suggestions were made as to what actions could be taken to get the property sold. In the end we got rid of them.

She booked us a last minute viewing, got our offer agreed within one phone call, none of the usual games and going back and forth. Nothing is too much trouble, she replies to emails very quickly and gets information asked for. Faultless experience, alot of other agents could take a pointer or two from this company!!
