10th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)We moved into our rented house, paid deposit and advanced rent. As soon as we moved in the boiler broke down. We have been over 5 days without heat and hot water. The plumber who they sent advised us that extensive works should have been done to the boiler prior to us moving in .Jasper and Emma at Redhill Connells mannerisms towards us has been one of "We'll get it repaired when we can" The landlord offered compensation not enough to cover even the cheapest of hotels , when we argued this point and mentioned litigation proceedings, Emma came back with a threatening email that we accept the offer before end of day Friday or it's off the table. We are now on Sunday still with no heating or hot water. We have contacted the council Environmental health department about this so they are aware of our situation. We are a full time working couple. I urge any one reading this to think carefully before using Connells, their nonchalant, threatening tactics are so completely unacceptable ,when they have tenants who have been without hot water and heating for over 6 consecutive days. Please take our ongoing experience and use another firm of estate agents who care about the health of tenants living in properties that they manage. We have a paper trail to confirm all that has been sent in this review.

5th Apr 2024 (14 days ago)This proved to be a very protracted sale as a result of issues relating to the freeholder and their solicitor holding up matters and various other factors beyond the control of our estate agents and ourselves. However throughout the process Brand Vaughn remained on top of the situation and eventually the sale was concluded to everyone's satisfaction and relief.
3rd Apr 2024 (16 days ago)Moving in to a clean, hygienic property is standard. But clearly not in this case. The flat had been cleared of furniture, but not cleaned. Some of the dirt was a direct threat to health ie. Black mould. I documented this the day I moved in, sent photos to this agency and requested cleaning from the landlord,as long as it wasn't taken from my deposit. Now my tenancy has ended and they are trying to withold over £180 from my despoit for "cleaning" despite I left the flat in a spotless condition. The landlord (who wishes their identity to remain secret, I wonder why?) clearly trying to negate their responsibilities and save cash. Parasitic. I left the property spotless, however when I moved in it was a state. Would you accept this as the state of a property when you move in. Black mould, heavy dust, extractor fans clogged with grease and a filthy oven? Do better.

Amber and the whole team have been superstars while selling our shared ownership flat; proactive finding us buyers and really calm and supportive through the inevitable hiccups along the way as we bought our new home. Thanks to Amber, our sale was actually the least stressful part, even with the involvment of a housing association!

Her dealing with us was appericiable. Really thanks to all team members of Leadrs aswell.
5th Apr 2024 (14 days ago)I went for viewing with David and I have to say he is really welcoming , friendly and has all the information that any tenant would require to know. Contrary to my other experiences in Sheffield with letting agents David was really nice.

We were very nervous! Danielle was patient, friendly and went above and beyond to help us buy our dream first home! She held our hand through the entire process, she answered our queries, worries and questions and nothing was too big of an ask. She communicated with us throughout the entire process and worked alongside the estate agent we were buying off of and our solicitor to ensure the process ran swiftly. Danielle is an absolute star, we are so glad we found her. We will definitely be recommending her to others!

When my other half and I wanted to secure a mortgage, Stephen Rogers (Branch Manager) put us in contact with their resident Mortgage Advisor, Andrew Titherly (Sequence Mortgages). As nervous first time buyers, nothing has been too much of a request for Andrew and his counsel has been greatly appreciated. We will happily recommend Andrew, with strong praise and doubtless confidence as THE mortgage advisor to work with in the area. You could go anywhere, but if you want the job done properly - Andrew is your man!

Nothing Jackie and I can say will ever be enough to be put into words the gratitude and thanks that we give for your hard work that you have all put in to not only selling our property but giving us the home we have so desired for so long . There were many times we were quite ready to throw in the towel but through your sheer tenacity Coilin you never gave up and soldiered on with this constant belief that its not over till its over. Your problem solving spirit shows no limits and you jumped every hurdle put in front of you and thank god you did. I always said there is no price you can put on experience and you and Issey and your team have proved that without a doubt , the longevity of your company is testimony to your ability to deliver what you say to the best of your ability and should I require your services again I would not hesitate to call you or recommend you to anyone who may wish to travel down the road we have in full confidence. This is an independent company run by Natalie and Bradley who are both extremely professional and hyper motivated to secure the sale. Don't be fooled by other agents who will tempt you in with higher valuations. (We were and our house was on the market for 9 months with not a single offer)! Flying Fish will competitively price your house based on square footage comparisons with similar properties in the area at the time your house is on the market. They help you to ensure your home is well presented for sale and their brochures are superb quality. There is the added bonus of superb communication throughout the whole process from listing to completion. Couldn't recommend them enough. Worth every penny of their 1%.

Elliot Rainbow has sold properties for me during this time and always looked after my portfolio. He offer a Hand off experience so we are always rested with no worries! Just let our flats in Manderin Oriental residences and no other agent has yet to let any in there! Thanks EBI

Despite Lextons representing the Vendors our interactions with Josh and Tara were always met with professionalism and fairness. They both persevered throughout the process to ensure a positive outcome for their clients and ourselves as the buyers. Throughout the process they were both effective communicators and resilient with challenges which they worked towards overcoming. We would consider using Lextons as our agents should we be looking to sell our current property in the future. Thanks Josh and Tara.

18th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
