31st Mar 2024 (27 days ago)The chap who we first saw seemed very straightforward and easy to deal with. He didn't seem to be trying to impress us particularly, just being straightforward. He was probably in his forties and had been in the trade for quite a while and was the owner of the Seymours franchise which we thought was a good sign. He was never pushy throughout the process and his team members were of the same ilk. Straightforward, easy to talk to and helpful. Once the house went on the market they got a lot of viewings in in a short time, so they were obviously good at attracting potential buyers. Oh, and I was offered 1% commission + VAT without even have to negotiate. This was important, but the overall feel of Seymours was more important. Communication was generally good, it was easy to talk to someone when I needed to.

26th Aug 2022 (1 year ago)Sold the house eventually but didn't seem to be very proactive at the start of the process. We wrote our own blurb, we retook some of the photos so they were on a sunny day. It felt as though they were hoping the house would sell itself rather than hyping it up and having an open day with lots of viewings on 1 day. This then meant that the only way to renew interest was to drop the price several times. They however really worked hard for us when our buyer threatened to pull out.

I wanted to schedule a viewing for the week but only one person was able to show the house who wasn't available at the time we requested. I've made 3 attempts to now contact this individual and they have still not replied or returned my phonecall. Disgusting service. Renting property shouldn't be this hard.

Unprofessional, no communication skills, sneaky, loves telling lies, no care attitude until something needs sorting their end. Seems to magically forget or pretend to be unaware of rules and regulations. Do yourself a favour and stay as far away as possible from this place. How it still runs baffles me. Shocking is an understatement
