From the first consultation with Martin, all of the viewings with other staff and right up to completion with Ben the whole company have been fantastic. The communication has been absolutely brilliant which in general made our selling process really smooth and easy. Very happy indeed with the experience - the third time I have used Martin Flashman. Appreciated the really sound advice on the valuation and timing of putting the property on the market, at a really uncertain time for the economy due to the first Covid lockdown. We proceeded with the initial advice given by Martin Flashman, and then Darrell Domingo handled the sale process from the almost immediate offer at pretty much bang on asking price, and was an excellent communicator throughout the process. We will definitely use Martin Flashman again as a highly professional, friendly and super efficient operator. Everywhere I go I see the green and white signs of Martin Flashman & Co and now I know why... as Darrell and the team were there at every step of the way in helping me get the house I wanted for me and my boys to grow up in. When I was looking to buy, I noticed Martin Flashman were the sole agents for a large chunk of the properties, now I know why. I dealt with Alastair who really set himself apart from the rest of the competition, there weren't any pushy sales techniques, he took on board my requirements, kept in contact and was very honest. I know a number of local agents personally, but opted to go with Alastair who I have known for many years when listing my property. The market was fairly quiet, but within a few weeks, Ben had sourced a suitable buyer for my property. I took a risk in selling without an on-going purchase, luckily enough I was able to move in with family if I didn't find a property in time. Ben kept everything on track and made the process extremely smooth, he helped to agree solutions that worked for all parties. During my search, I viewed a number of potential properties with both the Walton and Weybridge offices of Martin Flashman. I found the whole team to be professional, personable and knowledgeable. I dealt with Andrew in the Weybridge office a number of times, in fact, Andrew showed me a property that made me list my property on the market initially. The sale went through as planned and I was pleased with the offer achieved, particularly given the market conditions. My on-going search had been running for over 12 months at the point of completion, this is partially due to beginning with a very broad search area and eventually narrowing the criteria down. Within a week of completing, I was able to find my ideal property, so the risk of selling without an on-going purchase really paid off. Darrell was easy to communicate with, extremely proactive at every step of the process, and always came up with very productive and practical solutions to the problems that inevitably presented themselves along the way, often very creatively so. At the start of the process, we visited many agents, and Darrell distinguished himself from the get-go. He then got in touch with just the right property, and then managed the negotiation and subsequent process very professionally. I honestly don't know how we would have fared with our first purchase of a UK property, with fairly specific requirements, if it wasn't for Darrell. EXCELLENT SERVICE - We were buying in Walton and although we were not the Clients Ross Dudley, the agent dealing with the sale, did everything possible to help us complete in the short timescale we needed. The vendors had moved away and there were some communication problems with their solicitors as well as other issues to be sorted out and Ross went out of his way to facilitate solutions to the problems. I recently bought through Martin Flashman, working with Alastair Read. Alastair was absolutely fantastic. Before buying a couple of months ago, I had been house-hunting for almost a year. In that time, I had dealt with quite a few estate agents, and I have to admit my opinion of the industry as a whole had rather soured. On finding the property I bought advertised and I getting in contact with Martin Flashman, I was pleasantly surprised. Alastair was very helpful, flexible, and moved quickly (getting me a first thing appointment to view the property the next day) and not at all pushy. Viewing the property, Alastair highlighted both the positives and the negatives of the property, giving me a good appreciation of what I was looking at buying. My questions, both then and after, were answered quickly and knowledgeably. Being fairly new to house buying - a first time buyer - I did not have experience going into making an offer. I was very happy to find Alastair was fair to both myself and the seller, getting us a quick sale that we were both happy with, and turning it around incredibly quickly. After getting in contact about the property at about 5pm, by close of play the next day I had already seen the property, made an offer, and had it accepted. Following the offer being accepted, Alastair continued to be great to work with, sorting out any issues I had very quickly. Whilst he checked in to make sure I was on track with mortgage and conveyancing, he did not pressure me and continued supporting where necessary. After listing a property with Martin Flashman, who had tied me into a 6-MONTH contract, I found it to be a very disappointing service. After 2-months on the market they got me an offer of £200k. I told them that was so insulting that it didn't deserve a reply, and when I spoke to Martin Flashman to ask why they would encourage such a low offer, his reply was that I can go and list it with someone else if I want to, but he has a 6-month contract and if I sell it through someone else, I'll be paying 2 estate agents fees. I waited for that contract to expire before I sold the house in Feb, 2010 through Gascoigne & Pees and they found me a buyer who met the full asking price of £250k within 2-weeks! I had bought through Martin Flashman before and I generally value the idea of dealing with small businesses because I appreciate being able to speak directly to the boss. However, these are not the sort of folks I'd advise selling through, not if you want either a fair price, or a timely transaction. I can only speak for myself, but I will never sell through MF again, and I can't say I found Mr Flashman to be the sort of person I'd want to be dealing with ever again. ... Read more
