In late December 2013, due to a brilliant piece of internal networking by Jonathan Dredge, Sales Manager, at Hamptons' Esher office, he unexpectedly brought to my attention an excellent freehold property in Esher as being a great BTL investment.
The purchase process was managed brilliantly as was the introduction to and ongoing help from Toni Barnes, Lettings Manager at the Esher office. From the outset, Toni has continued to be very helpful, highly responsive and most knowledgable. This has been vital to me as I am completely new to the area.
As a result of this excellent experience not only from Hamptons' Esher office, but also from Mark Bennett and Hamish Scott based at other offices, I will now also proactively consider using Hamptons for my London portfolio.

Be very wary letting properties from this agency. The Home Inventory service that they impose created false discrepancies between the sign in and sign out reports, costing us a huge portion of our deposit for fictional damage that Gascoigne should reasonably know was caused by previous tenants. Very disappointing
We used Grosvenor Billinghurst Claygate for both our sale and purchase of our new house. We found Chris Burton to be realistic, honest and responsive. He has intricate knowledge and understanding of the Claygate housing market as well as knowing at least half the population of the village on first name terms! Chris goes out of his way to keep lines of communication open and chains moving. He made the whole process as easy and stress-free as possible. We would certainly recommend Grosvenor Billinghurst and would use them again... but not for a while!

I have rented for the last 6 years and can honestly say I have never seen such appalling behaviour from a company, we viewed a property today and within 30 minutes put an offer in, 5 hours later I get a message cancelling a second viewing, when I phone to query this the lady I spoke to had no idea why and said she would find out and phone me back straight away, 30 min later I get a email cancelling the second viewing that they already cancelled so I phoned again, I was then informed that they had been trying to phone me but no missed calls and no messages!! She then informed me that they had a viewing after us offering more money and keeping the furniture, Surely as a company they should have given me the opportunity to better the offer but no they just did it all by message, I will certainly never use this company again and would advise others to be a bit cautious.
