The staff work as a team which makes for great customer care. They offer excellent advice on how to obtain the best price for your property.
17th Aug 2021 (4 years ago)Received a letter to say i was liable to pay cost towards a fence which is on my neighbours ground. The estimate from the companies clearly state who is responsible and my address is not on the estimate but they are trying to say it is on the title deeds. I called my solicitor yesterday morning who got back to me in the afternoon and told me it was absolutely incorrect, There is a communal pathway between the two properties and each property has their own individual boundary. Therefore not liable to help with cost of fencing. However my solicitor also told me that the fencing provided when property was built was wooden fence posts with 3 lines of wire to separate the gardens at the front this separation was between 26 and 28 and then a fence between 30 and 32 as there was no requirement to separate 28 and 30 due to pathway. At the back of the house each property had the same wooden posts with 3 wires strung across. Through time resident decided they wanted more privacy and they have all done this in different manors. IE. Hedges, fence panels and some installing brick walls all paid by the individual owner / resident of own property. This company has decided to take it upon themselves to pester residents which have been in their property for over 50 years to subsides their property owners bank account by telling them they need to pay up. I have already put up fencing in my back garden which has enhanced both my neighbours gardens without asking them to contribute to it. I have also had issues with this company as regards to the maintenance of the back gardens they are supposed to be managing over grown bushes,trees blocking out the light to my garden and damaging my garden hut. Which due to the trees and bushes have caused side of shed to be replaced due to dampness caused by the bushes that had grown wild and the roof had to be felted again due to the trees and leaves. I also have a job every year clearing up all the leaves which fall on my decking and the destruction caused to my decking which needs to be painted every year. I have yet to have an apology from the so called business with regards to this and for them to hide behind a title deed. I think they should check before trying to bully people out of their money.

21st Apr 2026 (14 days ago)We had previously tried to market our plot with Bell Ingram, Oban in 2023/24, with little interest which, at the time, we put down to market forces. We are considering marketing our plot again, so contacted Andrew Fuller on 16 March. Even after two further calls, one text message and two emails we have not heard a thing as at 21 April despite being promised several times that Mr Fuller would be in touch. This is appalling service for an existing customer with property to sell. If it was possible to award zero stars we would, as their service and even communication has been non-existent, and we now wonder whether the previous lack of viewings was down to their lack of effort. We wouldn't now rely on them to market a bag of crisps and have contacted another agent.

15th Apr 2026 (20 days ago)I moved to West Lothian about 5 years ago and up until that point, apart from buying & selling houses, I never had the need to seek out legal services. That soon changed . . . Sorting out my parent’s estate after they both died intestate, selling my aunt’s house when she was assessed as having no capacity and going into care and a requirement to update my own Personal Will and Power of Attorney documentation all seemed to happen one after the other. I sought out Stewart Watt & Co. after they were recommended to me and I have been delighted with the service, advice, knowledge, efficiency and professionalism I received from their solicitor/partner Zara Mair. In conclusion, over a very short period of time, I required a wide variety of guidance and legal expertise which Stewart Watt provided that helped me enormously . . . Thank you!

21st Mar 2025 (1 year ago)Best estate agents in Cumbria. When selling our house we initially overlooked Lakes Estates and went for an established regional agent. That was a mistake. That established agent rested on their laurels and ultimately proved totally ineffective. However, despite initially rejecting Lakes Estates, when approached a second time Glenn happily took over and marketed our property at an increased selling price, achieving a sale very quickly. He knows the market and what buyers want. His approach is personal, professional and ultimately highly effective. He is open and honest - refreshing qualities for an estate agent. Office Manager Hannah is diligent, polite and also extremely efficient in her role. Nothing is too much trouble for her. We encountered some minor issues during the sales process that Hannah easily took in her stride. If you are in Cumbria, these are the agents you should use.
11th Apr 2026 (24 days ago)I had my will prepared by this firm back in 2017 and was assured at the time that any future changes could be made easily. Recently, I contacted them to make some important updates. While the receptionist was polite and helpful, the overall service I received was extremely disappointing. After multiple emails and messages left for the solicitor, I received no direct response. I was eventually told, via the receptionist, that the solicitor was too busy with conveyancing work to assist and that I should take my business elsewhere to have my will completely rewritten. As a returning client who has already paid for this service, I find this unacceptable. I relied on the assurance that amendments would be straightforward, yet I am now being forced to pay another firm to redo the entire will. Very poor client care and not the level of service I expected.

The most amazing part I would never leave out would be how committed to answering and coming over to the house or the property whenever we had any challenge or issues. They were really handsome and responsible. I’m truly amazed by these show of dedication and operational sense. Thanks guys
