10th Oct 2019 (6 years ago)I've recently made my will and power of attorney, I've now lost count of how many times I've had to go in to the (Haddington) office as they keep on getting names and addresses wrong. Told them numerous times but clearly not paying attention to detail.

8th Aug 2025 (10 mo. ago)Arthur and Carmichael are a very well run firm that prides itself in providing sound legal advice and good customer service to its clients. I can personally vouch for that as I had to engage this firm on behalf of my elderly mother to deal with a complex crofting issue which had occurred. The advice received from Daniel was both comprehensive and very well explained, he certainly knew his stuff regarding the complexities of crofting law, he came across as being very personable and approachable. Laura who assisted with the sale of the property was also first class. They were both excellent at their jobs and I would have no hesitation in recommending this firm to others.

18th Dec 2025 (6 mo. ago)Jane Riddell did our conveyancing for our Glasgow flat and was absolutely brilliant! Could not recommend enough, we were informed of any updates very quickly and all of our concerns and queries were handled efficiently and with care. Jane made the whole process for us as first time buyers extremely smooth and we had our keys in 6 weeks! Thanks again Jane :)
13th Jul 2020 (5 years ago)Terrible company. They are not interested in entertaining inquiries, they have a backdoor of investors already in their books who are given the first chance to all properties. Waste of time if you are not part of their system. They do not want to know you!

I first contacted them when I was looking for a flat to rent, and from the very beginning they were professional, kind, and incredibly easy to deal with. The whole process was straightforward, and after moving in they were always friendly and helpful whenever I had a question or needed something fixed. Having tried several letting agencies over the past ten years, Bastion Property has genuinely been the best. Their communication, reliability, and overall approach made a huge difference. I would highly recommend them.

8th Feb 2024 (2 years ago)We used Harley's to sell our house and we were originally purchasing a house via them too. Yvonne is amazing - the customer service is absolutely second to none. I had valuations from a couple of agencies but Yvonne was by far the most reassuring, trustworthy and reliable. From start to finish she kept us fully updated with both our sale and property search and was always on hand to help out. Our house sold within 3 days of going on the market and even when our purchase took longer than we initially thought, Yvonne was incredibly helpful. Would recommend to anyone looking to buy or sell over any other agency in the region.
6th Feb 2026 (19 weeks ago)Had a viewing of a property for sale arranged today, on my day off. Took over an hour to drive there and back. Turned up on time, no one there. Called office only to be informed that viewing was cancelled and they meant to tell me but email link wasn't working. Dreadful service. Residence clearly could not care less about potential buyers time. They obviously do not know how to communicate via a telephone!!! Management did not even apologise directly. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO SELL OR BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AS THEY CLEARLY CANNOT COMMUNICATE APPROPRIATELY!!- 13th Feb 2024 (2 years ago)They were interested, fully engaged and enthusiastic throughout the process.
